Homemade Corn Beef really made my husband's breakfast. So flavorful and crunchy. Unbelievable! My mom absolutely loved the cinnamon French toast. It was super cinnamon. The homemade sausage was to die for. The band really made it. Love them! Live music is the best. They played tons of happy music that we loved, sang and danced in the booth to. It's been on our list to check out ever since it opened and we finally made it. It's a much larger space than we expected. You order at the counter and then get a number for your table to sit and wait for the food. Lots more seating than we were expecting. We were in for breakfast and everything we tried was great. Loved those breakfast potatoes. We also tried the hash, French toast on swirl bread, and biscuits with gravy. All really good. Staff was attentive and very friendly. Great experience all around. My family went to the Jenny Lee Breakfast Nook on a Sunday morning around 10:45. It was busy but we were able to order promptly and get a seat. You order at the register when you enter and then you take your seat. Coffee/water are self serve, and other beverages are in bottles. There was a Dixieland type band playing in the back, they were fun and helped create a great atmosphere, they were just a little too loud. I ordered the special which had a piece of toast, real potatoes, a great piece of sausage, and two eggs over medium. My oldest son got a bowl and a pancake, my youngest son had a cheesesteak, and my wife had cinnamon French toast. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. This is a quality breakfast option. This little joint, right off Brodhead road makes some damn good breakfast. We had quick service after our meal order was placed. We both loved our breakfast, everything was cooked to perfection. I even ordered a coconut cream pie for breakfast desert and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed the cozy almost 50's diner vibe. This was my first time dining here and unfortunately, will be my last. The atmosphere was nice and almost like an old time 1950's vibe with a live polka band playing. I liked the band but it was extremely loud for such a small place. The main issue; though, was that the food and cleanliness of the restaurant were poor. I ordered a breakfast bowl which was basically a whole bowl full of chopped potatoes with hardly any egg in it and loaded with tons of salt. I really wanted to like it but I couldn't. It was making my stomach sick. The toast was doughy and soaked with a lot of butter. Also the hot sauce bottle on the table looked really old with dried crust all over the opening. Most of the tables were left with plates from the previous guests. We waited for our food for about 15 minutes. Only upon arrival of the food did the server ask if we wanted her to clear the previous plates with food and dirty napkins on it. (Uh yeah) She had already set down our food so we had to pick up the dirty plates and napkins and hand them to her and then she didn't even wipe off the table. Several other tables around us were not cleared as well. I thought my husband's meal might be a little better than mine because it was simpler than the breakfast bowl. He just had scrambled eggs with bacon and potatoes but he said the eggs were extremely salty too. Also, not a big deal but you have to pour your own coffee out of carafes and when I went to, it was empty. Had to wait for a pot to brew. The lady at the front counter was very nice though. It's a shame because the place is cute and could be good but needs a different menu and maybe more people to work there. read more

They advertised fresh roasted turkey for their club sandwich, we even asked it it was real turkey not deli turkey when I was there. It was deli meat that probably said roasted turkey on the plastic label. You had to order at the counter, get your own drink and yet a tip was included in the bill. The music was great but very loud which I agree might be because of where we chose to sit. Oh the soup came in a very small bowl and my chicken noodle was eh at best it had 1 piece of chicken in it, lol. I tried out the Jenny Lee Breakfast Nook with two friends recently. We each ordered a breakfast sandwich with potatoes. My one friend asked if she could change the cheese on her sandwich and was told no...it was already made beforehand. That worried us a little. We assumed if you have three types of cheeses you could mix and match. I thought I was going to love the combination of herbs on the bread for the sandwich but they didn't work with me. You go up to the counter, place your order, grab your own drinks (free water and coffee), sit down, and they bring the food out to your table. But to be fair, nobody's coming here for the coffee. The breakfast itself is okay. It's very average diner fare. Not bad, not amazing. The portions aren't especially large, and I wouldn't call it anywhere near the best breakfast I've ever had. It's comparable to the kind of breakfast you'd get at a church parking lot charity event; simple, basic, gets the job done. Prices aren't high, but I wouldn't call it a bargain either. If you're driving by and just need something to eat, it's perfectly fine to stop in. I went to go there for two days. On The first day the person on the counter was sweet and my food arrived quickly. I had the Biscuits and Gravy with breakfast potatoes. The Sausage gravy on the biscuits was delicious, but the biscuit was dry and was too crumbly for me. (Needs alot of butter). The potatoes were seasoned nicely and weren't that bad. The second day, I had the Jenny melt (I think that is what it's called) with a side of chips. The patty itself was moist and flavorful, but it was stacked ontop of a two small pieces of rye bread, The onions and mushrooms go well with the sandwhich, and I also thought that the chips could need some salt. Sidenote, I also think that they should add some more sides to their menu. Overall not a bad place to go to get yourself some food. read more

"Accordions Likely," a 5-piece band was playing. Tuba, Trombone, Trumpet, and 2 accordions. Way too loud for the acoustics. We had to yell across the table to hear each other. Service: 2 You pick up a menu, order à la McDonald's at the counter, take a number for the table, then have a seat. Coffee was self-serve in paper cups; other drinks were bottled/canned in a cooler behind the counter. Food was delivered to the table. General: 5 The counterperson was very friendly and efficient. The dining area was clean. We went because we love their Cinnamon Swirl bread. $6.00 a loaf at the store. I'll make my own when I get the craving. read more

We arrived in Pittsburgh at 5:30am and was looking for something close to the airport to eat since we were traveling all night. I'm not great with directions, but it wasn't very close to the airport. They opened at 7am so we had to wait a little bit. My husband and I both got the bacon egg cheese breakfast sammich. The garlic herbed bread was a really good flavor, potatoes was good (wish it was more crispy/well done), wish there was more bacon lol, and the coffee hit the spot.
