I called him at 8:36 am March 7th 2026 When I called to report my mother's medical emergency, I was met with a rude and dismissive response. I asked if there was anyone else I could contact or escalate to, and he repeatedly told me, 'No, there's nothing you can do.' This lack of care and basic compassion is unacceptable, especially given the severity of her situation. I hope this facility takes steps to ensure their staff are trained to respond with care and humanity.

My friends live in Anthem, and everything they told me about this community center was positive, including their daughter. They all love the activities, sports and events here. They have childcare camps available year round, which was really helpful during the holiday break last month for my friends who had to work. Security is required for checking your child in/out. The staff were friendly and gracious when we were there. Looked spotless, too.

I like that the child one limited your usage to let someone else have a turn. I heard they'll be moving to a bigger building away from the high school. I must say I really like this library, and the staff is excellent. You get your choice of 5-6 library card styles. My wife and I both have the glow-in-the-dark scorpion Ha ha.

Happy Veteran's Day! The Anthem Veteran's Memorial is a permanent structure dedicated to the men…read moreand women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Made before the creation of the Space Force, the monument has a row for the five branches of the military. The monument is located in Anthem Community Park. There is a small lake near the monument. The area has an overall peaceful feel. Visit the monument, then enjoy the rest of the park. For 2022, there is a whole Veteran's Day Ceremony. This ceremony includes, (but not limited to) the different branches of the military, a band, a choir, honor guard, color guard, guest speakers, and various youth groups. I had only heard about the phenomenon of the sun shining through the four monuments to illuminate the U.S. seal, at 11:11 a.m., on 11/11. This only happens at that precise time on that precise day. I had not heard of the Veteran's Day Ceremony. When we arrived at 9:30 am, there were already over 1,000 people there, and the ceremony was underway. The ceremony is clearly a full community event. In order to get close enough to see the sun shining through the installment, one needs to get there EARLY. By the time we arrived, we were way too far back to see the seal.

We made quite the drive from i17 & McDowell because we work M-F and this location made it so convenient with Saturday availability. WRONG! As soon as we walked in just a crooked white piece of paper saying "No Saturday Passports". Nothing about temporary closures. Nothing about why or how long they aren't available (despite usps.com saying otherwise). We were trying to do this on our way to Flagstaff to visit family, so it was on our route anyway. It just sucks that it didn't indicate when Saturday appointments would be available again. I know I should've snapped a pic but I was annoyed at the time and just stormed out.

The property itself is huge so be prepared for lots of walking. The main trail is paved, and there are other off road trails that are not. We brought our 2 young children and they handled both very well. It was very educational and the houses were kept in excellent condition. I would have liked to see more of the yellow house but I understand why it's closed off. The telephone exhibit was interesting and brought back memories of having land lines as a kid. We will definitely be back!
