This WAS one of our favorite places. They have a fantastic seafood salad. I was looking forward to my birthday lunch today. I assumed they were checking vaccination status. They weren't, so feeling unsafe I canceled. I also watched a couple of guys walk out the door with no mask on. So basically, you are taking your chances unmasking in this place. They aren't enforcing covid precautions. You are dining at your own risk. As disappointing as it was to leave my birthday lunch plans, the overly made up hostess was snippy in her reply when I said I didn't feel safe and would not be staying. Arnie's was a wonderful experience, the location in Mukilteo was beautiful and over looked the water and Ferry Terminal. We sat outside since the weather was nice and that added to the experience. We had the crab dip appetizer which was very tasty and the portion was just right for an appetizer. I had the halibut cheeks on the daily special menu and they were some of the best I have ever had. My friend had the steak and it came cooked to perfection medium rare. We both enjoyed the meal very much. Food here was incredible!! The view was pretty great too. I took a friend here for her Birthday & we both had the copper river salmon, which was cooked perfectly, & paired with a rice pilaf & green beans which were all very flavorful. For dessert we ordered the Key Lime pie & Creme Brûlée. Both were possibly the best I've ever had. My friend always orders Key Lime pie & this one was also her favorite. I definitely recommend this place for the food, view, & service. Our server was Clayton, & he was great!! My friend though so too. Unfortunately, a couple female employees kept eyeing my friend & I, & seemed upset at us for some reason. They kept staring at us, giving us mean looks, & then I noticed them watching us out the window as we left, & laughing. Really odd. I'd definitely recommend this place & I'd probably go back again. The crowd here's average age is 89. I overheard a conversation and I quote " I hear they have a Crab Louis that'll knock your socks off!" Gave them 2 stars because it's right on the water. If a nursing home attempted at opening a "top notch" seafood restaurant this would be that restaurant. The food was of the same caliber as Disneyland in both price and quality. My husband I chose this restaurant because it was on the water and a seafood restaurant. We were seated quickly and the server was amazing but the food was not as good. The calamari was not real (no tentacles) and tasteless. We both had soup which was decent but our main dishes were underwhelming. My husband ordered the scallops and I got a shrimp platter. Went to Champagne brunch on Sunday. You're started off with a fresh fruit with crema and a massive cinnamon roll with champagne, mimosa, or OJ complimentary. Cesar, our waiter, was excellent. Love this restaurant! The location is perfect, every table has a view of the Puget Sound, ferry traffic and the many pleasure craft enjoying the waters of Edmonds. The food is always fresh, beautifully served, delicious every time. While our table server (Riley) was awesome, the food servers got a little ahead of themselves, bringing the entrée ahead of the starters. Riley made up for it with an assortment of desserts which were the perfect finish. The wine list is limited, but contains good wines, mostly Washington, with a few from California and Oregon. When we are visiting (from the southwest) Arnie's is one of our favorites in the northwest to enjoy fresh salmon, fresh halibut, fresh seafood overall. read more

The location is great, the view is great, the service was great too. But the food was nothing special. I ordered the Seafood Omelette and my sweetie got the crab cake Benedict that was on the brunch specials menu. You get a good amount of food with the orders, a fruit tray with yogurt, sticky buns, and a choice of OJ, Champagne or a mimosa with your meal. But the tab was still $50 which kind of felt a little steep. It felt more like a $35 meal $40 tops. It has a cafeteria kind of feel with regards to the decor and seating. I can admit Im a bit of a foodie snob but I just thought with such a great location it would be nice if they classed the place up a bit. Which brings me back to the food. The reason I say it wasnt great is it also had that cafeteria or retirement home kind of vibe. Everything was under seasoned and kind of bland in my opinion. There was nothing that really popped at me. I guess thats what the salt and pepper are for sitting at the table. My only issue is I dont want to feel like I am eating in a retirement home for at least another 20/30 years. This may be one of the most confusing reviews I ever wrote. Because even tho I gave it two stars and said what I have said about the food I would recommend it to people. If your not a food snob and just looking for a nice place with a great view to take mom or grandma then this place would work well and I think they may like it lol... I think the bartender forgot to put any alcohol in our drinks, when we told the waiter he shrugged his shoulders as if to say too bad. Well - the food was ok - kind of bland - the seafood had no seasoning or flavor. The salmon was good, the service was just so so. We had to flag someone down to get our second glass of wine with our meal, we didn't see the bread on our table and had to ask where it is. Duh a how could I have missed it? Lol! But the bread was the best part of the meal. The shrimp cocktail was tiny / in the fact of the size of the shrimp. Dinky! We have Bigger shrimp than that in Montana. Best steamed clams and King Crab legs around. Its a pricey joint, but the views are amazing on a clear day or during sunset. I also highly recommend the white pear martini. The service is hit or miss, and its always a good idea to call for reservations. Ample parking along with outdoor seating on nice days. My boyfriend & I had received a couple vouchers for this place, so we decided to check out the location in Edmonds. It was a Thursday early evening & wasn't too busy. When we had first walked in, the hostesses were standing together as one had asked us if we wanted to sit in the Lounge for Happy Hour, or regular Dining. We decided to just go with the lounge, so they pointed where to go as it was self-seating, which was fine. We walked inside near the bar area & we saw there was one more open spot outside that overlooked the water. We went back to the hostesses & had asked if we could actually sit there. One kind of just looked at us without smiling & was like "yeah you can." And I was like "Oh okay great!" then realized she wasn't leading us there. After we awkwardly stood there, another hostess spoke up & said "That's self-seating too." notably also without a smile. After saying thank you, we made our way outside. That was the only strange experience, it was just weird & I guess we were interrupting their conversation, whatever. The rest of the night was pleasant, our server seemed odd at first, asking us short questions but warmed up to us when we chatted for longer & was quite nice! I ordered the Mango Margarita & my boyfriend got the Columbia Merlot, both at HH pricing. We had ordered the Oyster Shooter ($1.99 HH), Risotto Arancini (I forgot the price), Flatbread & Crab Dip ($10.99 HH), and Calamari ($8.99 HH) for appetizers (and basically our whole meal lol) and then split the Fish & Chips ($16.99 HH). The one thing that truly stood out was the Lemon Pepper Aioli that came with the calamari... amazing. The waiter even noted to split the dish up for us! Very kind. He also brought us sourdough bread free of charge to finish up the rest of the crab dip. We handed our vouchers in & he said we had room still for dessert, so we decided on the Tiramisu... SO good! Definitely share it, as it's pretty huge. The coffee taste was strong & it was so yummy! Definitely recommend that. read more

I give this dining establishment two thumbs up!! The steak was cooked to perfection and since I was sharing it, they took the liberty of splitting it perfectly between two plates. Beware of *free upgrades*...I came in for a celebratory dinner and to enjoy the early dinner price on the deck (1 appetizer, 1 main course, 1 dessert for $23 per person). Waitress told us because we were celebrating that we could upgrade to any of the desserts listed on the menu. When we got the bill however we noticed we were charged for a dessert. Waitress then replied with "oh I should have specified only one." We had to send it back for it to be taken off our bill. We would have rather not been offered said upgrade and each had our own dessert but instead ended up sharing one. Food was good nothing to rave about though. read more

On 2/12/17, my brother and his girlfriend came in from out of State. We were so hoping for a special dinner and evening with them as Arnies was our to go place when company came from out of town. I made a 6:45PM dinner reservation and we were seated at 7:00PM,,, No,,,7:15PM,,, No,,,7:30PM,,, No,,7:45PM!! Yes Finally! We were the last ones served. By then, of course the Halibut special is all gone. O. K., well then let's order the Halibut fish and chips and regular fish and chips. There was way too much breading on the fish. The French fries looked like something you would get at McDonald's. Plus we are paying 3 times what the food was worth. We would have been better off going to Ivar's. It just was poor quality food for that price. Our server was very nice and patient with us. She was very good at her job. However, Arnies will not be on our list for dining from now on. read more

I am telling you, 3 people (and the delicious food) at this restaurant are the reason we return. Nessie, Caesar, and Donna are 3 of the best at their jobs!!!! I ask for them on every reservation. Averaging 20 tables each, 14 hour shifts, and minimal breaks they never let us down!!!! There are a few other to this standard at other restaurants but these three are amazing!!!! Good job!!! Last night we met Donna super on top of things!!! We ordered ice tea (glasses never empty), bread (while we waited), oyster shooters, poke, hot seafood salad, steak, and the sampler dessert. Visited for brunch. It was fine. What's nice is they include a large fruit plate, a cinnamon roll, and a mimosa/champagne/oj with the breakfasts. The coffee was terrible and we didn't end up drinking it because it tasted just like hot water. The restaurant is on he Passport Card which is a pro. Arnie's has a great view, especially during summer when you can sit out on the deck; overlooks the Edmonds marina and ferry. I like to sit at the bar and order off of the bar menu. The portions are great and you can order a few varieties of things and still feel full. The added bonus is that the happy hour uses the same bar menu just changes prices; good happy hour. Regardless if you sit at the bar or in the restaurant, the food is delicious. read more
