Aroma is great for breakfast and lunch. This week we went for lunch and I had a Peter Rabbit. I used to get it all of the time on Wednesday evenings, so it was great to experience it again. The food is tasty and different without being fussy. I can get chicken and lots of vegetables and others can get red meat and cheese. The service is also always friendly, the food is served with a smile. To sum it it up- great food, great service and reasonable prices. This is a very casual order-at-the-counter type of restaurant. They do have a few small tables inside. We sat outside. The area is very nice. I ordered a Peter Rabbit with a veggie patty. It was one of the best veggie burgers I've had in a long time. Even the roll was tasty. It was messy as hell but worth it. My husband had a chicken pesto sandwich. I asked him his rating, 1 - 5. I ordered an Atomic Bomb breakfast burrito for takeout from Aroma Bistro in Old Wethersfield before an all day meeting. It was ready when I arrived and still hot. The burrito was large and suitable for sharing. It had grilled egg, Irish bangers, home fries, sautéed onions and peppers and a special sauce. It was good and I'd order it again. The onions and peppers were cooked, but not overly so and that provided a nice contrasting texture. I would have a preferred if the yolk was a bit less cooked and the potatoes were more cooked and seasoned, but the burrito was still good. This is a great little local café in old Wethersfield. The prices are inexpensive. There is dine in seats and also some outdoor seats. My friend had a bagel with lox and I had a full egg breakfast with hash potatoes and mushrooms and spinach. They also make burgers on some nights. Very affordable. Cute cafe in old Wethersfield, CT. It's not a big place but it is located where there is a decent amount of parking. I got the ACME Crew Burrito. It had 2 eggs, home fries aroma sauce, American cheese, applewood bacon and sautéed peppers. I was served fast and politely. I was a little disappointed in it. I think the sauce was a little overwhelming. It seemed ketchup based which I'm not a fan of with my breakfast. My bacon was also undercooked. I don't need it crispy but not rubbery. A wonderful casual eatery in the heart of Old Wethersfield's historic district. The staff are super nice and you get treated well, even if you're an interloper, like me. We quickly stopped at Aroma when we were on the road for the day. Their shop is cozy and in the heart of old Wethersfield. I got the Peagus Sandwich in a wrap and it was okay. I liked how fresh the ingredients were, but wish it had a little bit more flavor. My boyfriend got the Treehugger burrito, he liked it because it was very filling. It was several days ago and I thought I wrote a review but the service was great. They were nice and quick to serve me. Morning parking was easy and plenty. The place looked clean and the sitting arrangements were just right. I sat on the sofa and watched TV for a bit, it was actually comfy or I was tired. Could have been both! I had the western egg sandwich... I wanted to play it safe. It was good. I would have liked the peppers and onions in the egg so that the egg can hold on it it and not have it slide out of the s'wich. Coffee was ok. Someone told me this place had burgers that were "to die for". I said "Really? At Aroma?" Like I knew they were kind of a hole in the wall in terms of popularity as most of their business is locals and people who pass by and I knew they're great for breakfast and have healthy sandwiches for lunch. But I never considered getting a burger from here, it's not that I think it would be bad, it's just I've always seen Aroma as a sandwich and breakfast place rather than a burger place though a burger is a sandwich but you get the idea. Anyways, I came in and was warmly welcomed by their staff. Everyone was very nice and welcoming which I liked. I took a glance at their burger section on the menu and they have quite a few that caught my eye but I went with the "Blue Moon" Burger and man let me tell you this, it really is to die for. Who would've thought! This burger was amazing, EASILY one of the best I've ever had in my entire life and the price makes it even better. Don't have an exact number but for a drink, bag of chips, coleslaw, and the burger it was only about $15! So worth it. Now to the burger, it had crispy fried onions, plenty of cheese (sorry don't remember the kind but it was perfect), mushrooms, bacon, and of course the nice and juicy burger. Probably had some other sauce or something as well but I can't remember it at the top of my head. Oh, and it was on the most perfect hamburger bun like ever. I've had this kind of burger in various places but the difference is here at Aroma it was very well constructed, wasn't dripping with grease, and the quality of the ingredients was outstanding, I felt like everything here was just better than everyone else that I've gotten this type of burger from. The coleslaw here is also really good, went PERFECT with the Blue Moon Burger. The Blue Moon Burger with some coleslaw and kettle cooked chips, I'd die for that (metaphorically). Aroma Bistro of Old Wethersfield is one of the best "hole in the wall" restaurants I've ever been to. People need to come out of their way to come here because it certainly is well worth it. Next I need to try their breakfast, I heard it's really good as well. Oh, I also recommend the "Rodeo Clown" Sandwich. I've ordered that twice before and it was outstanding. Today was my first experience at aroma, bistro, and give it all the positive reviews on screen. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a bagel and a latte with almond milk. I did put the order in over the phone and they said it would be about 15 minutes. I arrived in 12 minutes and the food and drink we're both ready. The bacon egg and cheese sandwich was delicious, the bacon was very sick and a high-quality. However, my bagel was not toasted. When I received my latte, my cup was only about half full. Having worked in a coffee shop before, typically you have to let the milk settle before pouring it in a cup, so that you can get all of the milk for a latte otherwise, it's a cappuccino. However, because it had clearly been sitting for a little while, the milk and foam settled and only half of my cup was full, which I did not realize until I got to my car. The drink was also lukewarm. Usually this wouldn't bother me but when you're paying four dollars for a drink you do want to enjoy it. The taste and quality of the ingredients was high. However, these "small things quote would determine who's going back. I am willing to give it another shot. read more

Oh my! This place is the cutest, small town breakfast spot where two guys cook it all on a few griddles and fresh baked goods are delivered daily. It's quick on and off the highway with plenty of parking, at least when we went on a Saturday morning. They offer eat in with about 7 or 8 tables or take out. I wouldn't suggest a large group except maybe when it's nice out as there is also seating outside. Staff was super friendly and knew a few regulars that came in. And well, the food. I suggested my husband get a breakfast burrito as I read on Yelp they were good and he loves his burritos of all styles. He got the acme burrito and reported it held together perfectly, making it easy to eat. It was also great flavors throughout the burrito with consistent taste and deliciousness. He raved about the "bistro sauce" in it. He highly recommends it. I got a bacon egg and cheese on a rosemary foccocia roll which was super tasty. Holy WoW!! This was the best breakfast sandwich I have eaten in my lifetime to date. I got the "Porky Pig" which came to $9 after tax and I easily could have split it and been full BUT it was so tasty and my 1st time so of course I devoured it all. The 3 different porks, with eggs, cheese, and that magical sauce was wrapped up perfectly in the tortilla. I may have to try a croissant sandwich next time just to switch it up but I can not convey how Amazing this sandwich was. Such a cute breakfast/lunch spot right in my backyard. I had tried their food several months ago at the Taste of Wethersfield but this was my first time dining at their restaurant. It's outdoor appearance might cause one to pass by but it's one of those places great food awaits those whom walk through their door. Aroma Bistro breakfast and lunch all day and their menu is comprised of a variety of thoughtfully composed sandwiches/paninis, burgers and salads. Additionally the restaurant also sells coffee and espresso drings but as I was already super caffeinated so I skipped, I opted for a bottle of Snapple For my meal I ordered one of the specials listed - A chicken pesto panini with mozzarella, roasted peppers on rosemary foccacia with a side salad. I also ordered a cranberry almond salad to split with my dining companion Mark C. While we waited for our order we were able to enjoy watching the foot traffic of Old Wethersfield and enjoy observing other patrons whom seemed to be regulars. In no time our meal was brought out and it was wonderful. A chicken sandwich on it's own is one of my favorite things but if cooked incorrectly, it can be a tough bite to swallow. What I encountered - a moist and flavorful chicken breast enveloped in mixture of melty mozzarella and pesto pressed together between rosemary foccacia - was a party in my mouth. And the side salad mixed in a light balsamic dressing and did not contain even a whisper of iceberg lettuce accompanied the sandwich perfectly. Even the cranberry almond salad that I split with Mark C was fresh and substantial with mixed greens, dried apricots, craisins and almond slivers. The dressing was a bit too sweet for me, but Mark C. devoured it. Aroma Bistro is a great a local restaurant, preparing good food with quality ingredients is definitely something I can get behind. Come early because towards closing hours they do not have all the bagel options. Another thing I love is that they do dinner during the weekends and you can bring your own alcohol. Don't let the exterior of this adorable little shop fool you. All is not what it appears to be. Like my favorite breakfast sandwhich the "pot of gold" can speak for the hidden gem this place is. I value quality fresh ingredient but specially with my breakfast because your first meal of the day can make or break how your day goes. As much as a piece of my heart belongs to starbucks for its fresh brew no frozen breakfast patty will compare to the fresh sausage egg n'cheese sandwhich at Aroma, and it has to be said that the caramel latte is no joke here either. :) The interior is small but inviting with its glass Ikea tables and chairs.
