Omar coffee, 2eggs over medium, bacon, home fries and of course the best toast around!

Amazing breakfast. Small inside and not much parking but if you go early you'll avoid any of those issues. Crispy bacon ,amazing toast and good coffee. A must try!

Been coming to allegro for many years and one thing that has changed is nothing. It's been the same place, service & flavors since day 1 and I love it all. This may be the last OG breakfast spot that I enjoy.

Steak, egg, and American cheese with onions.

Small cafe in the south end of Hartford. They are cash only. Menu is fairly small, but big enough to offer a variety of (mostly egg) choices. I ordered a steak, egg, and cheese on a hard roll with onions. My food was cooked well, but the steak lacked seasoning. It was good enough that I was not disappointed. The person I was with had a ham, peppers, onions, and cheese omelette. They enjoyed it and felt as though it was a generous portion. Their omelette came with toast and home fries. The toast was delicious (seemed to be some sort of bakery fresh bread). The home fries were good...they had some burnt pieces, which I happen to enjoy. I would have liked the home fries to be a bit more evenly cut- some of the pieces were quite large. Overall not a bad experience. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to visit again, but I also wouldn't protest if invited to meet someone there.

Veggies pepper omelette, with mushrooms, onions and provolone cheese.

This little spot in the corner has excellent food! Great little breakfast place. Family owned. Can be a little busy but these people are working hard to serve everyone what they want with great service. Worth the wait. Good portions and prices are great! Definitely recommend!

Walking in, I said to my friend, I don't know, and I was so wrong. The food was awesome! Portions were HUGE. The toast is fresh Italian bread from Mozzicattos next door. I highly recommend you try this place!!

This is a great local hangout for breakfast. They serve fresh baked and sliced Italian bread with there food. Stuffed omelettes, perfectly cooked eggs. Love the breakfast sandwiches, hubby and I pick them up to go for a quick breakfast. Simple but tasty home fries. Lot of local regulars from the area. This is just a simple and homey place to grab some tasty breakfast.

We have been coming here for a few years now. Mostly for breakfast. While we are not regulars, we have always received excellent service. It's a no-frills kind of place. It probably hasn't been updated in years. It's clean the food is good and the portions are incredibly generous. Instead of toast you get big slices of homemade crusty bread. It's "comfort food" type of breakfast.

I live the nice music in here. It's very livel! It's Happy Hour from 3-7 on weekdays (food) and all day for drinks on Monday! The kitchen here makes everything built fresh, from scratch, and all homemade. The appetizers, pasta, entrees and desserts combine old-world traditional Italian flavor with a modern flair for presentation, and the freshest ingredients around. Menu staples like calamari, chicken milanese, fettucine carbonara and ravioli are paired with unique recipes like pappardelle with sausage and tenderloin steaks. They have staffed their kitchen with a dream team of local chefs that ensure our quality does not waiver and our kitchen is always OPEN! Not every place can say that! For my first drink, I'm having the Manhattan's Creek made with Knob Creek bourbon, sweet vermouth, dry vermouth and Angostura bitters. Wait a minute! These are the same ingredients as a Perfect Manhattan! This is chilled, well balanced and nicely garnished. I like it! For my first food item, I'm having a House Salad (small, off-menu version). This is made with a spring mix including basil, tomatoes, julienned carrots, cucumbers and a red wine vinaigrette dressing. This is nice and fresh! I love the dressing! I like the nice cloth napkin as well as a disposable one. The bartender is the nicest one I've ever met. For my next item, I'm having the Rigatoni Marinara. The is made with rigatoni and house marinara sauce. It's low cholesterol and guilt-free (for me). This is steaming hot and delicious! Nice portion size too! For my next item, I'm having a cup of soup. This is broccoli cheddar with potato. Oh yeah! I love those oyster crackers! This is yummy! For my next drink, I'm having the Pratt n Whiskey made with Woodford Reserve bourbon, sweet vermouth, red wine and sour mix. I love it! It's shaken well and tastes great! For my next food item, I'm having the Carmine's Secret Tenderloins. These are actually pan seared caramelized CHICKEN tenderloins made with wine, olive oil, cracked black pepper, kosher salt, shredded Parmesan and a VERY special secret sauce. I can eat this with little regret. This should be interesting! This is quite good! I do like that creamy sauce! For my dessert, I'm having the Toasted Almond. This is soaked in Amaretto layered with light custard and topped with crushed almond. Oh yeah! Look at the presentation! This is fantastic! What a great meal here!

Everything was exceptional, from the drinks and ambiance to the salads, entrées, and desserts. The kale salad was fresh and delicious, the Pasta alla Vodka was outstanding, and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the Chicken Parmesan (I completely forgot to take a picture because she was so excited to dig in!). The hazelnut pie was the perfect way to end the meal and cobbler pie A special shout-out to Rory, who took such great care of us. I was hoping for a Dubai Chocolate Espresso Martini, which wasn't on the menu, and she went above and beyond by checking with the bartender and putting in a special request for me. That thoughtful gesture made my evening extra special and truly reflected the outstanding hospitality. We left happy, full, and already looking forward to coming back to explore more of the menu. Highly recommend and more sensible way was giving the salads separately in two plates. We mentioned we would be sharing the salad and pasta Ella vodka which was the first time I have ever seen in a restaurant, most restaurants would give a big one and we need to portion it out. "Rose darling come to me All I ask of you…read moreIs make my wildest dreams come true" (Steely Dan) You probably don't need a PHD in linguistics to surmise that the Italian words "La Rosa" translates into the English words "The Rose". And if your wildest dreams happen to revolve around Italian comfort foods and well stacked sandwiches, well, do I have a place to make those wildest dreams come true for you! La Rosa is your quintessential Italian deli with dozens of grinders, paninis, wraps, salads, soups and a daily hot bar of pasta and chicken entrees. We ordered a grilled Panino Melenzani ($12) with eggplant, tomato, fresh mozzarella, basil and olive oil. It was grilled right in front of our eyes, so it was as fresh as could be. It had plenty of tender sliced eggplant, yummy cheese and fresh tomatoes. I went with my usual, an Italian Combo (half size for $14) stacked a mile high with Ham, Turkey, Genoa, Mortadella, Capicola, and Provolone with lettuce, tomato, onions, and peppers on a fresh loaf of Italian bread. It was superb, and the portion size was so generous that it lasted me for three lunches. As we were paying, we spied some home-made cookies by the register and grabbed an oatmeal and a chocolate chip to take home. Everything ran $32 for a ton of wonderful Italian goodness. We didn't get a chance to check out the hot bar. It wasn't open today because LaRosa's Marketplace was closing early for personal reasons. But I promise you, the next time we visit we'll leave with one of their chicken or pasta entrees. We love our Italian delis, and LaRosa's has immediately shot up into our top tier.
