Name called out and freshly poured coffee picked up at the coffee bar, food announced by buzzer. My americano was smooth and full bodied thoughtfully served in ceramic. My biscuit sandwich was pretty life changing! The bisuit itself was flaky moist and oh so tender. Homemade sausage was seasoned beautifully. Elevating the sandwich was a baked egg, firm but custardy interior and the side of sriracha syrup. Less than a mile off of 91 on our way to Trillium Canton for our son's 30th birthday celebration! A 1000 stars for a cozy, grand, eye popping and tummy filling space. The kind of place that I would return to over and over if we lived here. I did expect a little more out of my grilled cheese, I expected a fluffy sourdough and more oozing of the cheese, the soup was lukewarm, but delicious. This place looked really cute so I decided to check it out. There isn't the best parking in the area but it was worth the trip. The outside and inside areas had a great vibe. The marketplace had a lot of interesting things you could buy. I went for coffee and I got an iced mocha latte. The prices were reasonable compared to other cafes. We stopped into Heirloom Market on a weekday morning for a late breakfast/morning snack. The market has speciality food items and produce. They have a very large space of tables for eating or chatting and relaxing. The service is super friendly. They have pastries as well as other food items made to order. We ordered some gluten free pastries and a (non gf) biscuit, egg, and cheese, along with a coffee. The pastries were good. The biscuit for the biscuit, egg, and cheese, was really enjoyed. Good coffee and cookies, not as great hot foods Came here for a sweet treat while up and about. This place came up as a popular spot, so we made the trek for some drinks and snacks. The place is in a well kept historical district, a little fancier than your standard locations, but in a New England fashion. The barn is a combo of old and new with heavy leanings on the old. It inside is expansive but clean. Worn but not dilapidated. The back of the house had the coffee and bakery. we got a bahn mi, some cookies, and a latte. Food came out after a bit of a delay, but not too long of a wait. The cookies were good. The peanut butter miso was the star of the show, but the snickerdoodle was a solid contender. The chocolate chip was a little too crisp and I didn't like the chocolate choice. But still not a bad cookie. Coffee was giv beans, which I really enjoy. The latte was basic, but the coffee was strong and wasn't washed out by the milk. The bahn mi was interesting. The veggies were heavily vinegared and had a slight funk to them like a kimchi. Combined with the chicken pate and the beer marinate pork gave the sandwich a very cheese funk which was very unexpected. The pulled pork was tasty, and the veggies were crisp, but the funk was strong. The choice in bread was also off. The veggies were drenched and the excess liquid sopped into the soft roll, leading to a very soggy and messy bite. It was a fun try, but not one I would try again. They now serve alcohol, and offer an "after dark" menu some days of the week. You can't go wrong with their menu! It's full of creative items and farm fresh ingredients. Call me basic, but their avocado toast is my go to. It's structurally sound because they make the toast nice and crunchy and it's topped with a generous portion of avocado, soft boiled egg, pickled onions, and radish. It's the absolute perfect combo! On our most recent trip my husband had the pickle melt, which was full of homemade pickled vegetables and cheese. We also had a bowl of corn gazpacho which was delicious and herbaceous, perfect on a warm day. They also have a great selection of baked goods to choose from. We finally got to try heirloom market and it was everything we had hoped for and more! Service was of course great. My husband said his iced maple latte was his favorite he has tried to far and we enjoy a lot of maple lattes! I also enjoyed my dirty chai. For lunch we got the ham and Gruyère and turkey bacon and avocado sandwiches. Both were excellent! We also loved their sea salt chocolate chip cookies. Checked out PorchFest with live music on Main St Wethersfield today. Lots of families and couples and friends enjoying free yoga and live music and festivities all day. The limited special menu for today's event only offered quiche, breakfast burrito, Bacon or sausage egg cheese biscuit, or yogurt granola, so my daughter had the Bacon-Egg-Cheese sandwich with maple sriracha sauce and I had the yogurt granola. B.E.C. 3/5-the egg was fluffy like a soufflé and the bacon was crispy enough, but the biscuit was just too much bread and not very toasted. My daughter ate all the insides with a little salt and pepper and left the biscuit. My guess is it wasn't up to the usual standard due to having to make so much in bulk today. Yogurt granola--no fresh fruit and portion seemed very small--yogurt, berry jam, small amount of granola with dried fruit. Again I'm not sure it was to the usual standard. Ambience (5/5)--loved Heirloom Market's old architecture and the shelves of produce and flower seeds for sale. Enjoyed sitting in the greenhouse to enjoy our meal--appreciated the fans in the doorways creating a steady breeze, especially when a persistent wasp kept trying to sample our food and kept getting blown away. This is such a gem! There is street parking and several other shops to visit. Staff is super friendly and they have endless seeds to grow plants, flowers,fruits and veggies and the packs are between $2-4 which is great. It's a nice place to walk around and see the different varieties while you wait for your food or beverages. There is ample seating all around. We ordered the grilled cheese, hot chocolate and chai latte w/coconut milk- The best! They do have cocktails list on the table for brunch and craft beer list also. I took my first trip to heirloom this past weekend, and I've gotta say, I wish I had known about this place sooner. We went to have breakfast but I found my self zooming past the line to order and bee-lined right to the heirloom seeds. Wow what an incredible selection. Some very interesting things you won't find other places. I got myself and my mom some very unique pink sunflower seeds. We walked around shopping and trying to find all the cute little nooks available to sit in and enjoy whatever you order, and we came across the green house. Outside was full, no seats left, but who cares when you can sit in an amazing empty greenhouse. We sat near some knitters and had a lovely little chat, one said to come back when it rains to enjoy some coffee in the greenhouse (great idea, can't wait). We ordered egg and cheese sandwich's on biscuits and they did not disappoint! Wow those eggs (they look like soufflé eggs) were huge, and the biscuits were delicious. The two of us could have shared one for sure! We also ordered two donuts one cantaloupe almond and the other was cherry chocolate, we got the last one. The cherry chocolate was hands down our favorite! Also big enough to share. What really impresses me is coffee however. I was happy to learn they had a light roast (nothing worse than a gross overly roasted dark roast, yuck). This coffee was great. It was not acidic, it was one of my favorite cups of coffee that I have found living in this area of CT. The staff was very nice, as were the other patrons enjoying their time. I love the vibe of this place, it was relaxing and exciting. They also have a bar, and a late night menu which I will definitely be going back out to try. Afterwards we took a stroll down the lovely little village area and it was also beautiful. Is this place worth a trip? Yes. Yes. Yes. Super cute ambiance! Absolutely love the vintage vibe. This place is extremely well managed. The food was excellent. I had the B.E.C. which is definitely enough to be shared between two people. The maple siracha is a delicious touch that really made the sandwich sing. We also enjoyed some Bloody Mary's and sampled the morning glory muffin (so so good - and not easy to find) and a blueberry pancake donut. The Bloody Mary kind of fell flat. It's a must stop once a week when I'm in town! From the rustic decor , the grocery store inside , the friendly staff you'll leave there feeling like you were apart of a hallmark movie ! I was very disappointed by what I saw in terms of having my food prepared. In the state of CT food service workers are not required to wear gloves when they are preparing food BUT they are required to NOT have skin to food contact and use tongs, spoons, wax paper etc. I observed the cook making a breakfast sandwich using his bare hands for everything AND even touching the butter with his fingers. It was disgusting! He made a full sandwich and prepped about 7-8 ingredients without using anything but his bare hands. I will not be going back. read more

I cannot believe that I have not been here sooner. I was able to get a parking spot right in front. There is plenty of street parking available close by and a parking lot. We came to do some shopping and check out the Christmas pop up. I was pleasantly surprised when I went in. You can grab some coffee, tea, sandwiches or pastries. At close to 2 pm the lines for sandwiches and beverages were rather long and seem to be moving at a slow pace. Not sure if this is an every day pace or just because it was the weekend. If you do purchase anything there is plenty of seating to sit for a bit, relax and enjoy your coffee and food.
