    Breakfast w/ Unkle Erik!

We're baaaaack! Loving the Quaker once again, it's been a long couple sheltered years. The food and service better than ever. It's like nothing ever changed and it's a family reunion! Today, Nov 13, 2021 our adult daughter specifically requested Birthday Brunch at the Quaker. My wife and I have been regulars since the mid 80's (that's the 1980's) and later came the youngins. Saturday and Sunday morning memories built. Today, a couple of the Maple French Toast specials with two eggs, over easy. Wait staff wished birthday a pleasant day and year to come.

This quaint, old-fashioned diner hustles & bustles in the morning and there's a reason why. Y'all, this is my third time here for breakfast in the past two weeks. Between the nostalgic decor, local camaraderie & delicious menu...I foresee myself here often. The menu is simple but has plenty of options. The coffee has been fresh & hot and the service quick & friendly. Don't miss out on this place if in West Hartford during breakfast. It's not a big place, only about 8 booths but has lots of counter seating.

Nothing is finer than eating at your diner! Great place to have an affordable hearty breakfast. A classic greasy spoon with good food and a competent waite staff. Cooked my sunny side eggs to perfection and the home fries were delicious.great quick hearty breakfast.

It's always nice to take a step back in time and not cook food that you can definitely make at home. That's what diners are for and the Quaker Diner is no exception! It's a nice little diner where you can relax and read the newspaper or watch your food be made in the open kitchen. Despite the fact this place is slightly cramped, it was definitely friendly, inviting and comfortable. My corned beef hash was excellent and my bacon was crispy. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the homefries had the perfect crust under them. All that and a little bit of coffee with toast. Oh man this is a perfect meal for my Sunday morning. Nothing else to say except this is a really interesting diner that has been here forever. Now you know why!

This is a classic diner and a staple in West Hartford. If you've never been to a diner, you wouldn't know what to expect. But as far as diners go, this is the epitome. Small interior, nothing fancy. The food is cheap and the portions are generous. The quality is good and the food is tasty. Giant pancakes, sticky syrup, always-warm coffee... what else can you ask for?

Little nondescript diner in west Hartford where food is king!!!!!! Daily white board specials are varied, plentiful and most importantly delicious. Pleasant staff. Parking on site.

Very delicious food, quick service, and a great family environment! Seating was socially distant, and staff made sure all menus and areas were clean after each customer! Overall good restaurant and recommended for a quick bite especially for breakfast!

Food for breakfast was just ok. A very old diner with spirited people working. Not that's a bad thing.

I had the gnocchi with sausage and broccoli rabe and I wanted to eat it in mini bites to savor every morsel. It's just creamy and melt in mouth delicious. A little salty, a little savory, just a little slight bitter of the broccoli rabe that just works in the best way. Service was professional and attentive. Treva remains a standout in the Center and a must visit for anyone. Top tier.

To the point where trying to get in to the table my purse knocked over a water glass and it smashed. I'm not large either. Anyway. First time here I felt my dish was much better. I had the Branzino and it was great. This time I had the fruitta de mare and the sauce was extremely bland. Dish felt dried out. Not enough variety of seafood either. Mostly mussels and calamari. Was presented in a weird dish too. I did not care for it at all. They gave me gnocchi for gluten free pasta. It was fine just sauce was bland as mentioned. My boyfriend loved his Orrechiete and it was very good. I will say from the mozzarella bar we had the burrata and the tomatoes were flavored beautifully and the bread also looked quite nice. Bf said it was great. Giving Treva a 4 for last time it was great and everything other than my entree this time was good.

It was good but definitely watch out for that brain freeze. They had a vast menu with awesome looking drinks. My husband had one of their waffles; it was huge and decadent. I had the fried deviled eggs, which were pretty good. It's a nice spot for brunch. The menu looked good for both food and drinks. They also have bottomless mimosas. The atmosphere was relaxing, clean, and family-friendly. One thing that immediately stood out was the menu. It's about 10 pages long, with an incredible variety of options. Whether you're in the mood for breakfast, lunch, American classics, or Mexican favorites, there's truly something for everyone. The presentation is beautiful. The drinks are garnished with fresh flowers and slices of lemon or cucumber, making them feel extra special. Even the food is served with colorful touches like a slice of orange and a strawberry on a skewer, showing they really pay attention to the details. My kids enjoyed an orange juice and an apple juice. I ordered the mango dragonfruit lemonade, and it was refreshing, flavorful, and the perfect drink for a warm day. For my meal, I had the avocado toast topped with an egg and crispy bacon. It was fresh, filling, and absolutely delicious. The boys loved their meals too. One had the chocolate chip pancakes, which were fluffy and loaded with chocolate chips, while the other had a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich served with crispy home fries. They also offer a great selection of specialty waffles and pancakes, giving us plenty of reasons to come back and try something new. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the service was outstanding. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit.
