The best salad I've had. Include chicken. The tomatos, cucumbers and pieces of apple were diced over greens, with delicious dressing (assuming Greek). I do not like most salad dressings. This I could drink. Add chicken. Very flavorful spices. Toasted pita topped it off just right. The owner was courteous. My dog sat with us on the porch as we people watched drinking ice tea. A must try in Hammondsport, NY.

Found this great little spot when taking our daughter to her first year at Keuka College last week. Very eclectic, different artwork you can look at while you're waiting for your order and also purchase. The coffee drinks were very good. We plan to go back to try some breakfast items next time we are in town. I did notice that many of the plants on the cute patio out front were dead and definitely could use some sprucing up. But we will go back.

Lovely atmosphere and the food was out of this world! Staff accommodated my request for gluten free by switching lettuce for bread. I had the tuna sandwich. Only reason not 5 stars was long wait for food as that wasn't obvious to me and I was very hungry. All cooked from scratch to order and was completely worth the wait.

This is a great find! We ended up coming here after our first option was closed. The owner is nice and plays some nice tunes. Food does take some time so don't come if you're in a hurry. Besides that food was super healthy and flavorful, I'm no expert in Israeli food but this feels really comforting and homely.

Absolutely awful. Super hot inside, dirty and the drinks were terrible. All four were absolute garbage. Also, slow and awkward service.

A couple of tables outside that had people sitting and a few tables inside for dining. Our orders were a smashburger with fries (included), and then two specials of the black and blue smashburger with sides (included). I had potato salad and girlfriend had macaroni salad. It was about 7:30pm when we ordered and the girl taking the orders said it would be about a 30 minute wait until our food was ready. (I found out later that there was a very large To-Go order placed just before we arrived). The cook and I assume owner, did chime in a said that she could get our order out to us in about 15 minutes after we said it would be difficult for us to wait due to the long drive we had home. Food did come out in about 20 minutes. As for taste, it was ok. Burgers patties were very small, much smaller than the bun they came on which left the resulting taste very dry. Definitely not anything special or worth the $66 (including 20% tip) that we paid. Hammondsport is an active summer tourist spot, so perhaps the price is reflected. But, I certainly don't feel the taste and experience justified the cost. One more strange occurrence, I didn't see a single garbage can anywhere inside or outside. We took out trash with us and put it in a public refuse container.

The Thyme Bourbon cocktail was especially memorable--unique, flavorful, and so good that I had to order a second glass. Poor bartender was completely overwhelmed and could not keep up with bar services and table services. Won't give lower stars cause the devil eggs and bread we had was good but yea can't have such long wait times to be acknowledged. I understand giving grace but 25 minutes to even be acknowledge is insane.

But food unfortunately was rather disappointing. Burger was very basic and really not nicely presented, with just a slice of tomato and onion (I asked w/o onion, but everything else). Therefore, we were intrigued and optimistic when we heard it had changed hands. To begin, I want to be fair since this is under new management. However, I am at a loss to find much to say that is positive. The staff seemed confused and disoriented when we arrived. We were surprised to see just how much smaller the place was after the renovation to make room for rental units, but that was not the issue. Practically everything else was. Let's start on a high note... the summer salad and the sticky Asian wings were very good. It went downhill pretty quickly from there. We also ordered the bread and butter appetizer, which was bland, dry and a total waste of money. Do yourself a favor and don't bother. We were a party of four and decided that the 'boards' were the way to go with the pretty limited menu. We opted for two each of the butcher board and bbq pit master board. The bbq board included littleneck clams, which was an odd pairing, smelled very fishy and were nearly inedible. I was able to choke down two before the smell got the best of me. The ribs were good enough, as was the pulled pork and bbq beans. However, the cornbread was disastrous. It was so dry and flavorless, my daughter quite literally blew out cornbread dust on an exhale. The butcher board was even more disappointing. The roasted potatoes were very good, crispy, but still under-seasoned. The prime rib was below average, to the point that we opted to leave a large piece instead of taking leftovers. Now on to the seafood... this is where it gets really bad. Again, this was paired with the littleneck clams, which we didn't touch after the first board experience. The 'seared' salmon was so disgustingly fishy, overcooked and truly inedible. My daughter's boyfriend took one bite and spit it out into a napkin, which I have never seen him do before. Needless to say, no one else even dared to try it, although I caught a whiff when I picked up a piece to examine. Upon examination, it was a small, thin, extremely dry and stiff portion slathered with a pesto (ish?) sauce. Utterly amazed that they would even dare to serve this to their customers. The small portions of grilled veggies, which were served on both boards, were probably the best prepared food out of everything we ate. The service was mediocre, at best. The staff was clueless and equally unenthusiastic. We gave this a pass since most were very young and the restaurant just opened a few weeks earlier. The ambience was dim and uninviting and felt more like an office vs. a restaurant. To add insult to injury, or vice versa, my daughter sliced her ankle open on a piece of metal bracket sticking out of the baseboard radiator. All in all, not certain what was the bigger hazard, the food or the sharp metal. In the future, I truly hope the new owners reevaluate the quality of the food and preparation, as well as adding a bit more ambience to their restaurant. Overall, I hope this is a case of the restaurant "settling in" under new ownership/management and they will find a groove with suppliers, staff and ambience appeal because for so many years, Snug Harbor has been a staple in our restaurants we've visited while staying on Keuka, but until further notice it is certainly out of rotation.
