The best salad I've had. Include chicken. The tomatos, cucumbers and pieces of apple were diced over greens, with delicious dressing (assuming Greek). I do not like most salad dressings. This I could drink. Add chicken. Very flavorful spices. Toasted pita topped it off just right. The owner was courteous. My dog sat with us on the porch as we people watched drinking ice tea. A must try in Hammondsport, NY.

Found this great little spot when taking our daughter to her first year at Keuka College last week. Very eclectic, different artwork you can look at while you're waiting for your order and also purchase. The coffee drinks were very good. We plan to go back to try some breakfast items next time we are in town. I did notice that many of the plants on the cute patio out front were dead and definitely could use some sprucing up. But we will go back.

Lovely atmosphere and the food was out of this world! Staff accommodated my request for gluten free by switching lettuce for bread. I had the tuna sandwich. Only reason not 5 stars was long wait for food as that wasn't obvious to me and I was very hungry. All cooked from scratch to order and was completely worth the wait.

This is a great find! We ended up coming here after our first option was closed. The owner is nice and plays some nice tunes. Food does take some time so don't come if you're in a hurry. Besides that food was super healthy and flavorful, I'm no expert in Israeli food but this feels really comforting and homely.

Closed two hours early. Shitheads. Can't even get a cup of coffee anymore without getting aggravated.

Absolutely awful. Super hot inside, dirty and the drinks were terrible. All four were absolute garbage. Also, slow and awkward service.

I've been meaning to write this review for a while because Babes & Buds absolutely deserves it!…read more My son and I drive all the way from Ithaca because this is our coffee shop. In fact, my son requests we come here--and honestly, I do too. The staff is always incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely sweet. Every visit feels like you're supporting people who truly care about their customers. The drinks are amazing, and I love how customizable everything is. There are so many flavor combinations to choose from, and I especially appreciate options like cold foam and whipped cream that let you make your drink exactly how you like it. My personal favorite is the Dubai Chocolate Latte, and in the winter I'm obsessed with the Banana Bread Chai. They're both absolutely delicious! If you're looking for a local coffee shop with creative drink options, wonderful people, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, I can't recommend Babes & Buds enough. It's truly a hidden gem, and we're always happy to make the drive. Supporting local businesses like this is so worth it!

First and foremost, staff are nice and welcoming. The place had a decent amount of customers but there were still some seating available indoors and plenty available outside. We got a Caramel Macchiato and a California Club. The coffee was great! The club was alright- the bread was too big and not like super tasty but the filling was good. Cutesy vibe and interior. Only thing was I had trouble opening the door to get out and had to put my food down and try a few more times before it opened- no harm, no foul- but was embarrassed lol.

Close the base of a spectacular waterfall is this amazing coffee shop. I could smell the Java before we even got close to the door. Nice inside the waft of coffee beans and baked goods tantalizes your nose. It was love at first sniff. We met the owners who were so sweet & kind, along with their little Bub who had just turned one. Cutie patooty. This place is decorated so well. It literally felt like we were sitting having coffee with friends. Great taste on the tongue and the eyes. We both decided on iced cold brew. They have a variety of scones and bagels. I chose the fig, goat cheese and rosemary scone and my love chose the everything bagel with hummus. I am a scone snob and I will tell you that scone was buttery, savory and scrumptious. The sweetness of the fig & tang of goat cheese married together with the herbal essence of rosemary was absolute perfection. Bravo.....I am truly a fan. I did have a small bite of the bagel and it was tender and flavorful. There wasn't even a crumb on either plate. Thank you for having us ya'll. This Kentucky girl will definitely be back!

The schnitzel sandwich was also very good. The fries, at $8 as a side were not worth it, I would have rather ordered another sandwich than got two sides of fries. The chips were also almost flavorless, except that of 99% fresh oil. The kids grilled cheese was American cheese, and thus, imho, was not very good. One of my kids took a bite and didn't like it either. Ambiance: simple, nice view of the lake. Service: friendly staff. Tl;DR: I'll be back, but won't order sides or the grilled cheese.

You order your food and pay at the counter and then they call your name and you go to pick up the order at the window when it's ready. Food took longer than we expected to come out, but they were fairly busy when we dined in. I ordered the veggie panini (sans goat cheese) and my husband went for the muffalini with a side of sweet potato fries. The veggie panini was excellent - I especially enjoyed the housemade olive salad! My husband thought the muffalini was delicious too. The sweet potato fries were good, but not really worth the fairly exorbitant upcharge. A can of pop was $3+ as well. Overall the food was great but it felt like the extras were overpriced. That said, I would definitely go back for a sandwich. Thank you, The Elf in the Oak!
