The person there was very friendly, and recommended one of their coffee beans which were roasted the day prior. After purchasing the beans, I immediately drove home to try them out. And the results I got, first time, were fantasic! It turns out my prior issues were due to the 4+ month old beans from that big name coffee shop!

It's a sweet, soothing layer with whole milk added to make the drink a little thicker and uniform with the coffee. I felt like I was getting a sip and smell of the outside leaves with the juniper as well, so a ton of feelings in one cup that I downed in less than 3 minutes! This has to be the cutest cafe I've ever been to! Nestled right by the Snohomish River in Fall City, it has the most charming atmosphere, complete with an actual treehouse that makes the whole experience feel magical. We tried a handful of their specialty drinks, and they absolutely nailed the flavors: Wild Orange Latte: Hands down our favorite. It was so incredibly good, with the perfect balance of bright citrus and rich espresso. Almond Pistachio Latte: Delightfully nutty and smooth. Bee in a Tree Latte: A wonderful, subtly sweet treat. Cafe Azteca: Loved the rich, warm spiced notes. On top of the amazing drinks and beautiful aesthetic, the service was incredibly quick, even with a unique order like ours. This place is so gorgeous and peaceful. The family feel when you walk in is evident. You feel at home and welcome. It was like having coffee with my friends. When I was in line, people were well distanced socially speaking (though even if they weren't that would be up to me to sort out, I'm a big girl). Everything looked so clean I was actually feeling like I didn't want to make it dirty with my snacks and drink. The coffee is simply divine and the gluten-free treats seriously knocked my socks off. These ladies have a passion for people and heart connections. So many drink and food options make it easy to feel welcomed and thought of. I look forward to many more occasions to visit! Adorable little coffee shop and a must stop if you are in the area! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, but clean and bright! The service was on point and everyone was kind and friendly. The coffee was delicious and so was the pumpkin muffin! They had a beautiful array of pastries and other food items like salads, burritos, and chicken salad for a quick lunch bite. They have a great little upstairs with tables and seating areas for working or hanging out. It was nice to tuck away and work a little. They also have an outdoor area and seating on the porch. I really love the décor and the friendliness of the staff. However for the price of the drinks I expected them to be consistently well-made. I've visited three times and each time there has been an issue with my order. The drinks tend to be overly sweet and the staff doesn't seem confident in the proper number of syrup pumps for each cup size. On one visit my iced coffee was made by pouring hot coffee over ice which melted immediately. Even when I asked for corrections the drinks still weren't quite right. I truly believe that with more training and attention to preparation the quality could match the great atmosphere. read more

So excited to finally have a coffee shop to hang out at in Fall City! So many delicious quality coffees and tasty pastries to choose from! My favorite so far is the salted maple latte and the cinnamon roll! And they have oat milk! There are beautiful areas to hang out inside and outside. Extremely Disappointing Customer Service…read more We stopped at Huxdotter Coffee in North Bend on Friday and ordered a 16 oz PBJ Smoothie, a 16 oz Mango Smoothie, and a ham and cheese croissant through the drive-through. At the window, we received the croissant and the 16 oz PBJ Smoothie, but were handed a 12 oz Mango Smoothie. We immediately pointed out that the drink was the wrong size. Rather than simply acknowledging the mistake and correcting the order, the employee told us that the order had been entered as a 12 oz drink. We reiterated that we had specifically ordered a 16 oz Mango Smoothie. Instead of saying something as simple as, "I'm sorry, we'll remake that for you," we were told that she would have to refund the original charge and then charge us again for the 16 oz drink. Seriously? Apparently, Huxdotter has developed an innovative new approach to customer service: If we make a mistake, the customer gets to fix it. The mistake wasn't ours. We ordered a 16 oz drink, and the employee or the person taking the order entered it incorrectly. Yet instead of taking responsibility for the error and providing the customer service one would reasonably expect, we were essentially given a bureaucratic explanation of why correcting their mistake was going to require additional transactions. We were on our way to an appointment and didn't have time to wait around sorting out an issue that should have taken less than a minute to resolve. We simply said, "Never mind," and left. What is especially disappointing is that this wasn't about the cost of a smoothie. It was about how the situation was handled. Mistakes happen. Good businesses acknowledge them, apologize, and make them right. Telling the customer that they have to go through a refund and repurchase process because the business entered the order incorrectly is simply poor customer service. Unfortunately, this experience left such a bad impression that we won't be going back. There are plenty of coffee shops willing to treat their customers better.
