We stopped here based on the previous Yelpers... I can't say enough about our experience. We came in at 11 on a Saturday morning and there was only one other customer in the lobby. We were immediately greeted by the owner who told me he could still make breakfast as he handed us our menus. We ordered a sausage burrito and chicken salad on croissant sandwiches. This of course is after he gave us a sample of the chicken salad to try. Everything came quickly and was as fresh as it gets. The burrito was huge and the amount of chicken salad on the sandwiches was easily enough for two. The coffee was fresh and strong without being bitter. As we finished the owner was telling us about how he makes his chicken from fresh not frozen birds and that they marinate for two days before being roasted. I said "I love Peruvian chicken" his response was "I give you a sample!" he then returned with HALF A CHICKEN cut up on a plate... We devoured it and all said it was the best we have had.... And I have had Peruvian chicken at at least four other places in the tri state area. We will not only be coming back but we will be telling everyone we know to get over here and support this amazing local restaurant. read more

Loved it. Had the chicken platter and beef tacos. Tacos are huge? Get 3 for $6 and change. Green chilli sauce is spicy and flavorful. Chicken is moist and spiced through and through. Fries were good and there corn was excellent. Corn was mixed with black beans, cilantro, lime juice (?). Nice service and staff. We forgot to grab plasticware before we left. My guess is there is a counter to pick that stuff up that we missed. Would definitely come back. read more

Aroma Deli is an excellent restaurant that serves delicious food in a timely manner. The food leans more toward American but also has a Peruvian/Spanish/Mexican flare. They have sandwiches, tacos, chicken for lunch but they also serve breakfast sandwiches and coffee. This building has been a variety of things, but I think that Aroma is here to stay. The owners are so polite and nice. The prices are perfect for lunch or dinner and the portions are great! Today I got a new sandwich they recently put on the menu: Aroma BLT with Chicken. This sandwich is HUGE. It is on a sub type roll and comes with tomato, lettuce, and avocado along with the bacon and chicken. The flavors are perfect. I believe the sandwich I got was 5.99 and it came with fries! I also ordered a side of plantains. These were fresh and delicious. Not too sweet and perfect soft texture. I work right around the corner from Aroma and it takes all of my will power to not go there for breakfast and lunch everyday. I recommend this place to pretty much everyone I come into contact with! I have lived in Winchester for two years and am consistently eating out - so I was surprised and excited to see that a new restaurant had planted itself downtown. I hadn't heard anything about Aroma but the look of the restaurant and it's outdoor patio looked interesting and a place I definitely wanted to try. I stopped in for breakfast and had the breakfast platter (w/ bacon) and it was fantastic! The food was cooked fresh and I loved it so much - that I not only ordered some lunch to go - but then stopped back in for dinner! I had a taco medley for dinner (pork, beef, and chicken) and there was not a hint of taco left behind when I was finished. The restaurant is very clean and staff extremely friendly! I had the quarter white meat chicken with the corn and black beans. I was told by the cashier that the chicken came shredded, but it came on a bone- not sure how the confusion arose. Either way, it was still flavorful. The corn however was half frozen, which disappoints me that it wasn't fresh. The black beans were flavorful. Had Chicken BLT and Steak and Cheese sandwich. The chicken was put on the sandwich in large breast pieces instead of cut up. The breast was too thick and very dry. The bun was also dry. Not much steak on the other sandwich, little flavor and the bread was dry. The fires were hot and very good. Given all the other good reviews the quality may have gone down since business is slower and food is not turned over as quickly. For this reason I would give them another chance. read more

I recommend Aroma Deli for good food, friendly service and a clean and tidy atmosphere. The steak sandwich (add avocado) was very good- a cross between a torta and a philly cheese steak. The excellent fries that came with the sandwich were devoured by the kids. Side of black beans and plantains were exactly as they should be- flavorful beans and caramelized plantains. The side of guacamole and chips was way too salty but that was a minor blip. If this Peruvian deli were in my town I would definitely be a regular. read more

A really cute eatery in a great location, not far from the downtown pedestrian section of Winchester; the food is great, but there is virtually no room to sit inside (or, for that matter, outside), so it's mostly a takeout/takeaway place.
