a plate of breakfast food
Daniel A.

The few times I've visited Aroma Espresso Bar, I've had drinks. But one day, I was debating what to have for lunch, and thought it may be worth giving their food a try. I ordered the Aroma Hash (pictured below). While I'm sure many people may like it, it wasn't my cup of tea. The dressing was good, but the flavour profile was a bit different than what I expected. For instance, there was so little za'atar that I couldn't taste it. I'll just stick to ordering drinks from here.

Pistachio Latte with reindeer chocolate yum!

The pistachio latte is a must have at this place. I made the order through Ritual, the app where you skip the line up and pick up your order straight from the cashier. For a bit under $5, the small 12oz latte came with a small chocolate wrapped in the holiday reindeer picture. I got it with the whipped cream and there were plenty of grated pistachios on top! The latte itself was rich and full of pistachio flavor. On Ritual, it is described as their "signature espresso" and I do agree that this drink did not disappoint at all. Will return in the future!

Enjoyed an ok breakfast at Aroma. Was in the area for a meeting and needed some fuel. For the croissant sandwich, with an omelet and Swiss. It was very basic and super buttery, but tasty. Bit overpriced but offered some healthy alternatives to food court usual suspects (McDonald, timmies, etc) I RECOMMEND- their power breakfast- 2 eggs, toast and coffee EXTRA TIP- my croissandwich took about 5 mins of prep despite cashier saying 1 min so plan accordingly

Muesli not porfait. There's a difference.
Marilyn R.

I went to a dental appointment this morning and stopped by this aroma for a coffee and for the Muesli to have there. My coffee was overflowing so I spilled when I put it down and my muesli was not really muesli. What I got was a big bowl of very cold fruit with a splash of yogurt and cheap granola. I double checked the sign displayed because I wanted to make sure that I didn't misread the ad. Mind you, I know what Muesli is as I've had many trips to Europe. The sign read "fat-free yogurt "topped with fresh fruit". Not the other way around. When I asked them for more yogurt and gronola, the broad gave me a little bit of an attitude amd told me that next time I need to ask them in advance what I want because this is how they make Muesli. I found that to be pretty annoying. It's like telling someone "next time tell us if you want tomato sauce on your pizza". Moral of the story? google "how to make Muesli" . People actually do travel and know the difference so get with the program people. I wrote the review because I was annoyed by the girls attitude.

Review Highlights - Aroma Espresso Bar

I don't always work downtown but the last two times I did I stopped by the new Aroma which opened in the PATH (close to TD centre).

There are four glass-top tables (with vintage books displayed within them) that can accommodate 3-4 people. There are also a couple of benches against the wall in the order pick-up area. Opposite to that is the neat window seating / bench area where I was able to make myself comfortable by sitting cross-legged on the seating cushion. °³ Overhead Venting: Sitting directly under the ceiling vents provided a welcome, cooling AC breeze in the tight space. °″ Basement Contrast: The clean and delicate aesthetic of the upper level sharply contrasts with the dingy, dungeon-like basement and stinky washroom. The stairway separating the two levels functions as an "inter-resting" transition zone--literally residing between the two tiers--featuring an installation wall where a megaphone, briefcase satchel, and a canteen are mounted directly onto a wooden display board. *To be fair, the actual seating area in the basement was aesthetically furnished similar to the upstairs but felt quite cramped. 댄스고 ======== For more content, follow @daenseugo

Walking inside, the warm cosy lighting and long barista/display counter immediately caught our eye. While it was relatively busy, it was also fairly quiet - perfect for those who wanted a quieter space as well as those looking for soft, casual conversation. We were sucked in by the delectable looking strawberry roll cake in the display counter for an early dessert! The cake was light, fluffy, and not overly sweet, balanced with just the right amount of strawberry & whipped cream filling. We also shared a hot, unsweetened matcha latte. The bitterness of the matcha, creaminess of the frothed milk & whipped cream, and sweetness of the cake were a perfect culinary match :) Would definitely come back for another visit!

There's plenty of seating both inside and outside, and I chose to sit outside, which was really pleasant. The only thing I would mention is that the cashier could have been a little more enthusiastic. I completely understand that not every day is a great day, but even a small smile can go a long way. That being said, she did make our coffees really quickly, and they tasted great, so I appreciated that! I also noticed a few flies around one of the pastries on display. It personally didn't bother me too much, but I could see it bothering some other customers, especially with the concerns about bedbugs in the downtown area. Overall, I would 100% visit again. I enjoyed the coffee, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was fast. I'd definitely come back, but not everyday because it was a bit pricy.
