We went to a few locations and every single one was great. We grabbed the pumpkin latte drink that has brown sugar in it as well and it was amazing! Quick update! Their ice cold strawberry rush is my go-to drink for pre-exam drowsiness, and it keeps me up well into the afternoon (after a full night of studying)! I like how they have seasonal flavors, their apple cider in the fall was definitely different! Stopped by this afternoon for some coffee. My husband got the Maple Latte and I got the Coffee Shock Latte. Great coffee. Bold and full of flavor, especially mine. A nice coffee shop compared to the bigger chains like Starbucks (which I love their Pike Place coffee). Being a new resident of Portland, I am thankful I found this place! We normally love Aroma Joe's, we've been going to the location in Gorham for years. We recently moved and started going to the location on Warren Ave. They've progressively gotten worse over time. One day we heard the staff talking poorly about a customer (calling her a bitch) while the door was open and everyone in line with their windows down could hear. I understand getting rude customers and needed to vent, but do it the door closed so no one can hear. Yesterday, we went and the staff weren't wearing the mandated masks, and this morning our sandwiches were burnt, I work in food service and would never have handed this out. I absolutely love aroma joes..and have spent ridiculous amounts of money weekly for great coffee...but this is my least favorite location..after having the young lady bend out her window and yell "bitch" to me...I pulled forward to call management..only to have her then call Portland pd on me..next thing I'm surrounded by officers..for what reason? I addressed the owner at the time-this man absolutely did not want to be bothered with the issue of his employees acting as such, and only stated he would speak to the employee...I spend approximately 60 a week at aroma joes..and did not appreciate being treated as such...gorham has been my favorite location..staff are pleasant and friendly...but since this incident I have refused to give another dime to aroma joes... * So I am returning to update this review. The owner of this location immediately reached out to me this morning with concerns as to the situation and experience I had at their store. Absolutely professional and made every effort to correct and apologize for this "former" employees behavior. Thankfully this employee is no longer there and as a long time customer of Aroma Joe's, I knew that behavior was not a reflection of the company itself but the individual. This morning my niece drove through your drive through and ordered a drink and a bagel. An extremely rude woman told her that she could not pay in cash but she could keep the drink but not have the bagel. My niece went there specifically for the bagel because she had a test in school that day and wanted breakfast. To be told that she could not pay with legal tender then told to keep the drink is preposterous. I give this place 0 stars for upsetting my niece when all she really wanted was to buy a bagel to fuel her brain for her test. This is just unacceptable. We stop at this location all the time, because it is on our way from home to pretty much anywhere we need to go in Portland. I have been to SEVERAL Aroma Joes locations, I mean, if I was delivered a couple Double Rushes a day, I would graciously drink them. This location is fast, and usually not too busy. The quality of the product obviously makes me deal with the long lines and sometimes being late for work, just because, well, I'm addicted to Rushes. I've driven by Aroma Joe's hundreds of times and has never bothered to stop. Today was the day, today I would stop! I got a medium iced (20 oz) coffee with a blueberry sugar donut. My iced coffee had good flavor and the right amount of milk and sugar in it. It tasted like a small cafe type coffee, not a large chain such at McDonalds or Dunkin' Donuts. Loved it! I wish I had asked for some ice on the side to add to it later since I drink my coffee slowly and there was only a small amount of ice in in. The blueberry donut was more like a sugared donut with a hint of blueberry. The donut was a cakey old fashioned donut and it has a decent texture. I wish it were more moist, as it were only noon I can't imagine it would've dried out that quickly. I'm glad I tried Aroma Joe's but I think instead of spending almost five dollars I'll stick with my at home cold brew and just get their coffee as a treat. read more

Aroma Joes, answer me this: why did you have to get rid of your RedBull stock and make your own energy drink?! Although this switch happened awhile ago and a congratulations is in order (because I do think it's pretty cool). The flavor of the Rush is nothing like RedBull unfortunately. The flavored RedBull is what set you apart from other coffee shops for me. I do honestly get the whole making-more-money-selling-our-own-energy-drink-thing and I have found a new love at your shop. It's not the muffins, no, which are typically scrumptious. I will admit the Rush has grown on me (strawberry pomegranate, what's up), but an iced chocolate Milano coffee is where it's at. I order mine just black and it's exactly as delicious as it sounds. If you like sweet iced coffee, you will fall just as deep as me! I absolutely LOVE Aroma joes, I prefer it over Dunkin or Starbucks, which is why this gets more than 1 star, but every time I've come to this particular aroma Joe's location, the customer service is terrible. The least you can do is smile, but the employees all seem very rude. I've only ever been told to "have a nice day" once and it was said with what seemed like to me an attitude. This is usually my favorite place to get my caffeine fix but this morning I had an unfortunate encounter while trying to purchase a couple of rushes. A man went to the walk up and my mother dropped me off to buy them- I assumed I could do what the man did. Park the car and buy the drinks- skipping the line. When it was my turn the woman told me I couldn't order and had to get back in my car... what's the point of a walk up if I can't walk up?
