There isn't a terrible amount to say, as Starbucks locations are often pretty standard. This one had all the regular menu items, nothing special, although the two young girls working were especially friendly and courteous. I'd usually give Starbucks at least a 3, but I was looking for a place to sit and get some work down, and the seating was very limited here. Worse, the place was super drafty and I couldn't get warm, even with a hot drink in front of me. Lots of people seemed to be running in and out of here, so I guess that's more of what this particular location is for.

A Starbucks is a Starbucks, for the most part. Every drink I've gotten here has been good, and the employees are always super friendly and smiley. I only docked this place a star because it's one of the most awkwardly set up and least inviting Starbucks I've ever been in. It always just seems echo-y and empty in there, and the spot where you wait for your drink also happens to be by the door, so you're constantly shuffling out of someone's way (or standing right up against someone's table).

    Goodness right there

It comes straight from Dubai, and that influence is obvious in both the menu and the overall vibe. This is a great spot for a lot of different moments. Morning coffee, an afternoon pick-me-up, getting a little work done, an after-dinner treat, or even a late-night hang with sober friends sipping tea or coffee. They're usually open around 8-10 most days and stay open until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays, but definitely double-check Google for current hours. The space itself is beautiful. I wouldn't call it cozy, it's more high-end and sleek, almost like a really well-lit lounge or nightclub, just without loud music or chaos. The lighting and decor are very intentional and make it a fun place to sit and hang out. They have some really eye-catching desserts and treats. I tried the strawberry Dubai chocolate cup and it was excellent. Honestly the second best one I've had, with Nuts Factory in Boston still holding my number one spot. Also, if you're looking for those viral fruit-shaped ice creams, this is a good place to check out. Service was a little slow when I went. There were two young men working and it seemed like one of them was still learning the equipment and drink-making process. That said, they were both very polite and kind, and I'm happy to give grace when people are learning. I definitely need to go back for a crepe and a latte. Overall, a really cool, stylish spot and one I'm glad Portland has.

Rating the food: Breakfast sandwich-ciabatta bun-slightly sweet and very buttery..nicely fried egg and sausage YUM Jalepino cheese biscuit- salted top, jalepinos mixed inside with cheese. Nice and crisp on outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. Earl gray iced blueberry scone- exciting!! Nicely baked with real blueberry. That icing tho - just the right sweetness! There is limited seating space inside and we barely were able to find a space for ourselves. Ok fine, will but it was a little annoying as I was in the drive thru for a reason. I went inside and was handed a 16 oz chai latte cup and once again the cup was only half full again, by this time I am frustrated, and my order was remade a third time. Though better, it wasn't a full 16 oz but whatever, I left and won't be back. I am not one to typically care about the price of items, but this entire experience has left me a little bitter. If a customer orders a chai latte, just add more warm milk to the top, it's not rocket science.

I also got an iced vanilla latte - thoroughly enjoyed the latte! Four adults and a toddler sampled a bunch of donuts - sounds like the start of a terrible joke...These are my notes on all of the donuts and not a consensus from the group, in no particular order. Woopie pie: 4 stars - good flavor and texture, nice way to begin this sampling experience. Bacon cheddar fried donut: 5 stars - delicious, amazing flavor, served hot, good distribution of fillings; would gladly have this again! Margarita: 3 stars - definitely taste the salt and lime, little bit of tequila as well; glad I experienced this, not something I'll go back for. Key lime holy cannoli: 5 stars - love the texture of the donut, light and fluffy, good lime flavor and enjoyed the cannoli cream. Creme brulee: 3 stars - good flavor, the crystallized chunks of sugar were a nice touch; I had high hopes, and it was alright but not life changing - that's on me. Maple: 3 stars - typical maple donut, not overwhelming with flavor but definitely knew it was maple. Maple bacon: 4 stars - lots of bacon, almost balanced by the maple. Blueberry lemon: 5 stars - really great lemon flavor to the glaze, blueberry flavor comes through the donut nicely; looking forward to having this again! Vanilla holy cannoli: 5 stars - again, love the texture of the donut, classic flavor with the cannoli cream; I would gladly eat a whole one of these! Chocolate sea salt: 3 stars - good chocolate flavor, didn't get much of the sea salt coming through. Pomegranate: 4 stars - very sweet, good amount of pomegranate flavor; could not eat a whole one as it would be too sweet for me. Honey lavender: 5 stars - mmm, honey and lavender partnered nicely, sweet but not obnoxiously so, loved how well the lavender flavor came through; I very much so enjoy botanicals in sweet treats and lattes. Toasted coconut: 5 stars - deliciously sweet coconut taste, nostalgic flavor of something my grandma use to make, I really enjoyed it! Such a fun way to bond with friends and spend a relaxing morning on vacation! Would gladly get donuts here again, and now that i know my favorites, I can be more intentional with my order next time
