I ordered an Americano with Pistachio sauce. I went along doing my business and realized 15 minutes away from the site that I had coffee. With NO pistachio. The older man, Reid, with glasses was rude and said you need to come in to activate the (new) card. No. I just had surgery. He insisted, "there's a long line of people waiting" ... my response was, "I waited for 8 cars and 12 minutes, they can wait, too," THEN I found out I had the wrong drink, although the sticker was accurate. Jasmine, a lovely young woman rectified the issue when I returned an hour and 15 minutes later.

A quick and decent first experience here. Came here at 1:50 on a Sunday afternoon. Only three cars in front of me waiting for their orders at the drive-thru. I ordered right away and a nice employee named Ben helped me customize my order. (I ordered my daughter a chocolate milk. They made it in a cup with mocha and some vanilla flavoring-- a bit more costly but more yummy too.) I ordered an iced decaf espresso with cold foam and they filled it to the brim of my grande cup. My daughter also wanted a cake pop and they let me add it to my order at the window. No complaints as everything is as I ordered it and was a quick experience l.

Slow as molasses. Understaffed. I'd avoid this location at all costs. Not worth the headache for a damn cup of coffee.

I don't know why I always thought it was a TINY little place, like a converted itty bitty cottage or something. I mean it looked fine, like a unique independent coffee place but I'm so glad I came here today, visiting Portland from our home a half hour away. It's a very BIG comfortable space, converted house with multiple rooms and really generous layout. Lots of people, but room for everyone with varied seating spaces, great for social hang, solitary chillin or getting down to work on laptop or what not. Great vibe, nice looking drinks menu, a few baked/pastry options in case, friendly counter people. I got a very solid iced coffee. Highly recommend!

I had forgotten to write a review after that experience so we needed to revisit eventually. Today was that day as we were in the area. Location wise I would say it is perfect tucked away not in the hustle and bustle of downtown. They have a small parking lot as well as plenty street parking. We went inside and I got their Cozy Latte which was cinnamon and cardamom latte while my wife got their Flower Power which is lavender and honey. Both were quite tasty and well made. Besides their seasonal drinks they appeared to have all the typically drinks you'd expect. To go along with our drinks I grabbed a chocolate croissant and my wife got a piece of their rosemary kale & pepper quiche. Both of these were tasty bites but do wish they would have been warmed up. Not sure if this would have been an option as they did not ask if we wanted them warm. Only real knock against the food was that. Good variety overall of food options. They are huge supporters of local creators and had a handful inside with jewelry and pottery available for sale. Great to see local supporting local! Overall we enjoy Coveside, although I do believe some other spots more based on coffee drinks. It is definitely a cozy and inviting space worth your time to visit. Also if you are a fan of books checkout the little library out front!

I grew up in the south, I've had all kinds of biscuits and usually they are dry or crumbly and I usually end up saying, "eh, not worth the calories" Walking up there a line out the door, but it moved quickly, I was surprised that most things were already made and they just put it on a tray for you and you pay, very lunch line, and its not served hot!?! I immediately wished I had asked them to heat it up for me, but oh well were sitting already and they were busy! All my fears melted away when I tasted those delicious carbs! I ordered the Garden Sprout ($9), a breakfast bagel sandwich with veggie sandwich, tomato, avocado, alfalfa sprouts, and vegan chive cream cheese on a choice of bagel. Luckily, it only took 20 minutes for the bagel to come out. The sausage was overcooked, to the point of being almost charred, but still tasty; the cream cheese--if it was that--seemed more like excessive butter (there was a pool of butter-like substance underneath). But other than that, the food was decent. I appreciate the vegan option, notwithstanding the aforementioned aspects that could be improved.

Tucked away from the busy waterfront, it's well worth it for creative comfort food, generous portions and genuinely friendly service. The menu is packed: stuffed French toast, Eggs Benedict combinations, decadent waffles. The food is good, fresh and filling and the service is excellent. The flavors are rich without being overwhelming, and the ingredients taste fresh. It's the kind of place where narrowing your order down to one item is the hardest part. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and they give you crayons to color. The walls are absolutely full of cool artwork -- by kids and adults alike. We all did some drawing while waiting for the order and it was so very relaxing and enjoyable. Even when the restaurant is busy, the staff keeps things moving while remaining warm and attentive. Another standout is how accommodating they are for dietary restrictions. They have extensive vegetables and gluten-free offerings. And know it can get very busy. Arriving early or making a reservation, when possible, is a smart move.

Looking for a Saturday morning coffee and breakfast sandwich we decided to finally check it out. Parking lot has plenty of spaces. Once inside you will see it is quite small in size, but does have a small amount of seating for those looking to eat/drink there. The menu boards were overwhelming at first but a large majority of it is their lunch sandwich/wrap offerings. I did appreciate the options you can choose from bread wise and other customizations you can make. Drink wise my wife went with The Lavender iced latte and I got the iced Snickerdoodle. Both were extremely flavorful and were well made. Either one and I suspect any of their other drink would be a no brainer to get again. Breakfast wise we each got a sausage, egg, & cheese on a bagel. Which those came out steaming hot and were made well too. Will need to return to give their breakfast burritos a try! Service was friendly and both food an drinks arrived quickly. Also another note on service, when originally ordering they forgot to discount us for a BOGO deal they have going but when I went up to grab the drinks they said they removed one of the drinks to make it right and apologized. This will be a spot my wife and I will return to for both the drinks and food. We did end grabbing 2 of the 3 window seats and do wish it had no painting on the windows so we could watch outside better. It's a space that isn't trying to be over the top or blow your mind with the vibes but they deliver delicious food and good drinks for you with friendly and fast service.
