I think its family owned and they're super nice. I never write reviews so the fact that i did shows how good this spot is. The food i got was rlly good but also the food everyone one else order looked great too.

Delightful service and very clean cafe. Cesar is passionate about his products and the customer's experience. I ordered an iced matcha tea, but it was too sweet for my taste. Cesar offered to make an unsweetened version, but since it was a premade powder, I opted for an iced tea instead. This was fine. The arepas themselves are delicious. Great texture, flavor, and chew. My friend had one with black beans which she said was good, but not as warm as could be. The shredded beef in mine was also not hot (so the cheese didn't melt) but it does not take away from the experience. Cesar said the flavor and the way the meat is sliced is authentically Venezuelan. Nice location, sufficient parking and we were told by another guest that there is typically a line out the door. We waltzed in 30 minutes before closing and were served quickly. Definitely worth a stop.

Carne Mechada Panini with Chicken 12 oz - Chicken Coconut Curry Soup

Arosa Cafe may be small, but it sure makes up for it with its comfy PNW decor, great service, and delightful food. Hidden in a plaza next to the arboretum, this place can be easy to miss - but it's definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a nice brunch scene. My wife and I ordered: Chicken avocado panini Carne mechada panini Chicken coconut curry soup The paninis were nice and light, and I would highly recommend the chicken avocado panini. I do love my paninis, and the char was crispy and the avocado added a lot of flavor with each bite. The carne mechada was a bit dry - however, the owner quickly brought out some garlic aioli, which was a huge savior for the panini. Overall, the paninis were pretty tasty. Not a huge fan of the soups - they were pretty mediocre. But the paninis were great, and I was eyeing, with great envy, every waffle that passed my way (they looked nice too). The food's pretty good - not the best, but far from the worst. But what gives this place its unique "umph" that pushes this review to a 5-star rating is its vibe and the pleasantries of the staff. The walls are adorned with photos and art that adds to the character of the cafe, and there's a mini-makers mart on the other side to help sell small trinkets and candles to support local artists. It's a sight to behold, and one that just makes this place that much more lovable. So come on in to Arosa's Cafe and admire the cozy nature of this shop. They are planning on establishing another location up north in Ravenna, and we will soon be frequenting that location once it settles.

The food here is really good but the standout is truly the amazing service. This is functionally a "grab n' go" coffee shop but...done to the highest possible level. The breakfast sandwiches are handmade and delicious and there is a deluxe, but tiny, indoor dining area and two small tables outside. I was a bit disappointed to not find any arepas (the main reason I came here), but the staff informed me that they only do those on Saturday. Also a bummer that they charge for coffee refills.

Food: 4.5/5 | Service: 4/5 | Experience: 4/5 This cafe near the arboretum was a good start to the day. The cafe itself has several tables, but it seems like most folks take their breakfast to go. I ordered the black forest ham panini and the strawberry liege waffle. My order took just a bit longer than I had anticipated, but nothing egregious. The portion size for the panini was smaller than expected, but the taste and sandwich itself was good. I would say the highlight was the liege waffle, which was soft and warm and topped with whipped cream.

The service here was amazing and so welcoming. I really enjoyed the liege waffles and the mocha is a must get!! If you're hungry, order the Arepa Pabellon, it's super filling and delicious. There's a free parking lot and a few small tables outside if you decide to bring your dog!

The service was super friendly and efficient! Very kind people! It also had a really pretty ambiance. The waffle was tasty. The matcha was pretty good. I'd certainly recommend it.

Stopped here on the way home from the Washington Park Arboretum. There's a small parking lot for the shopping place. Decided to try the signature mocha but iced and a chocolate croissant. Croissant was available immediately and the mocha was ready within a minute. Not only was the croissant delicious, the Iced mocha was outstanding, just the right amount of sweet with the right amount of coffee. There are a few tables inside with a couple of tables outside and gives the feel of a coffee nook. I want to try their waffles next time when I visit.

Everything was so good here, chicken juicy, mac to the catfish... delicious, this place makes you feel like home, service fantastic, these plates makes you full before you walk out that door, coming in they got some very cool photos and decoration, feeling like the 90s. Mama in here always knows best when you don't know what to eat cause she never disappoints!

First time at this establishment I was excited. It's been on my list of places to try in Seattle…read more I was really looking forward to supporting a community that is part of the LGBTQIA+ they are also a family business well-known in the community and of color. The restaurant is very clean, was greeted by two servers working, friendly atmosphere, noise level was average and it's a smaller establishment, please keep that in mind. We ordered the french fries which are shoestring fries, side of catfish, a side of red beans and rice, and a side plate of fried green tomatoes, which comes with four bite-size pieces. Being from the south born and raised, I'm a particular about my catfish and even though the breading had flavor, the catfish to me did not taste very clean plus there was a hair stuck to the breading of the catfish. It wasn't a small hair. The mystery hair either fell in the oil or it was in the batter is my guess. Because when I went to break the catfish apart, that is when it sprung the rest of it out, there was a small curl tip sticking out of the top of the fish. Unfortunately, the green tomatoes had absolutely no flavor. I will say the red beans and rice had the most flavor. I could taste the seasoning and the spice with a little bit of heat. I also really appreciate that there was some veggies mixed in with some meat as well. The shoestring fries it's either a hit for some or a miss and for me it was a miss, but I've had lots of different kinds of shoestring fries from multiple locations, and different states. It's a hard one to make. They were fried crispy and excellent. I would say it's more of the seasoning that was a dislike. The decor throughout the restaurant was beautiful to view. There are photos of the owners their family and friends. Not only could I see the love and commitment put into this restaurant, but also I could feel it as soon as I walked in. My takeaway is for the cooks to wear hairnets and if they have beards, to also put nets on their beards to further prevent hairs falling into people's food. Fried green tomatoes are not an item that can be found at most restaurants. It's easy to make but definitely the seasoning on it could be improved. Also, possibly just going simple with the seasoning like salt and a little pepper on the shoestring fries, sometimes keeping it simple is the best. A topic I want to touch on, not because I got it, but because going through the reviews prior to coming not too many people were discussing the waffles and this was a direct witness of what I could see. I did not taste it so I can't describe how the waffles tasted, but they look like they were cooked golden brown, which was nice but they are I would say more on the thinner side than what I usually see at places that serve chicken and waffles. If you are reading this review and you are looking for a place that serves you a nice thick waffle please do not come here because you will be disappointed, and I do not want people being disappointed when they are looking for something in particular and they end up ordering something that they did not want. Besides my recommendations, as I mentioned, this is a place that is full of love and commitment and I appreciate the community that has supported this establishment. It is not easy keeping a restaurant open and it's even harder these days being a person of color to even have your own establishment. As always, my friends be safe out there. Thank you for reading this review and I'll see you at my next bite *=*

We were able to walk in with a big group on a Friday during the day without a reservation and there was plenty of seating. The inside of the cafe is super cozy, colorful, and with plenty of natural light. They have coffee and other hot/iced drinks such as matcha and teas. Their food speciality is their waffles but they have other items on the menu if waffles are not your vibe. The dishes have a little Korean flavor twist which I thought was genius and worked well. I tried a matcha latte which was rich, and not sweet at all (which is my preference). I also ordered a breakfast salad which was divine! It came with a runny fried egg, some delicious mushrooms, and a very umami and soft tempeh. I'm not a fan of tempeh but they really made me love it here and wish I had their recipe!! I added some avocado for extra creaminess and smoked salmon which was of very high quality. It was definitely the perfect meal. My husband tried the savory waffle which he also really enjoyed. Would definitely come back here for brunch if I were in the area. Inventive and delicious food, filling portions, excellent service, and very lowkey!
