I ordered a delicious smoothie and enjoyed it (and their strong wi-fi) while I settled into my first meeting. There was just enough time before my second meeting to order an equally delicious breakfast panini. The entire experience was pleasant, friendly, and with a very Seattle vibe. The only issue I had (besides high prices, but hey that is pretty much the norm around here these days), was it was cold AF in there! It was a rainy, drizzly spring morning and the front door was wide open the entire time I was there. I really liked their lemon loaf! They also had a small but interesting seasonal menu that I got a honey lavender latte from. It was a nice spot to hang out and do some work. There were plenty of tables and it was clean and fairly quiet. The barista was also very helpful in explaining the specials too. read more

The acai bowl with strawberries, banana, and protein powder is great, I'd recommend them! I don't think I'll order lattes again (had very bad taste and this wasn't the first time). I would greatly appreciate it if tamper protection seals (stickers) were placed over the drink hole on coffee's and on on the acai bowl. It makes me feel better knowing nobody opened my food or drink. It's a simple thing that helps customers feel their food and drink wasn't tampered with. The service was great. The ambiance was very cozy however it is really cold in there. The only problem was the food and drinks we got. For 40 + dollars We got breakfast sandwiches and the egg was extremely salty to the point we couldn't take another bite. The matcha we got was mostly just milk and the matcha powder was just sitting at the bottom. When taking a sip we would have chunks of matcha in our mouths. The matcha tasted very cheap as well. So excited to see another coffee place come in where queen bee used to be. This is diagonally opposite Safeway on Madison and a good addition to the neighborhood! We got the raspberry white chocolate mocha, cold and it was delicious! You could taste the raspberry note. I only wish I'd got the 16oz lol. The Fremont was a well crafted sandwich (not sure why they call this a panini, as it's just a regular sandwich bread) served with chips and my kiddo loved the lemon cake slice. With smoothies, acai bowls and drink specials, there is enough to make repeated visits here. Bequest is my local coffee shop, they make very good coffee and I've always enjoyed going in there, very friendly staff. Today though I found out they are no longer dog friendly. I'm not sure if something happened, but we were just in there on Monday without issue and 2 days later we were asked to leave, so I guess things changed in the last two days.
