Fremont is in the middle of a cafe renaissance. For the last few years, a dearth of coffee shops has caused the local Fremontsters to flee their neighborhood in search of a more caffeinated block. This must have led to a town council meeting in support of Instagrammable lattes, because now the cafes are popping up everywhere! Baskette has a nice welcoming feel, I can tell that they care about the details. I'm used to cafes having dainty little breakfast items, so I was surprised when I saw a breakfast combo on the menu. You can get a pastry, breakfast sandwich, AND a coffee for $20. That's a solid deal! The drip coffee was on point, they've got that dialed in. The babka was nice and decadent in the middle layers, swirled with chocolate and hazlenutty flavors. The outside was a bit too crispy for my liking though, I'll probably try the cinnamon roll instead next time. I really came for the breakfast sandwich. I think they're on to something here with a very nice roll. You don't see a lot of breakfast sandwiches on a roll in Seattle. It also has a fantastic aioli, which when paired with their hot sauce is balanced perfectly. I'm not a huge ham / Canadian bacon guy, but I'm fine with it being on here. My only gripe is with the egg situation here. It's a decent enough size, which I appreciate, but the consistency and shape threw me off. It gave me the feeling that I was eating an Egg McMuffin since it was a perfectly shaped, and slightly overcooked omelette-looking creation. I feel like if they just threw a couple over-easy eggs on this sandwich then it would be top notch. That being said, I think Baskette is a very solid cafe that I will for sure stop by for a coffee in the future.

Was looking for a quick place to grab lunch, and came across Baskette. The area is street parking only, which isn't super hard in this area. The interior is super cute, only a few tables for seating, and a little market on the side. I ordered the prosciutto and pear sandwich as per recommendation of a worker. Tbh all of the sandwiches sounded pretty fire so I had a tough time picking. The sandwich itself was pretty good. Focaccia had a light onion-y flavor and was warm and crusty. The Brie was melted and tied all the components together. I do wish there were more cornichons in the sandwich just because they were only in ~30% of my bites and the Brie did start to get too much by the time I finished half. Overall, good rec, and I'd come by again if I were in the area!

So many options for baked goods and breakfast items. There were sandwiches and we would definitely go back to check out the Sandwiches. We got 20 miso cookies and loved them. Service is super chill and nice Calm country music in the background Super Clean space!!!

We stumbled across this cute little breakfast and sandwich shop after our morning run. This is such a cute little place and they even have a little market inside of the shop where you can look around while you wait for your food to be ready. The inside is nicely decorated. I love how cozy it feels. The service is super nice. Everyone was super welcoming and they checked up on us to make sure that the food was good and everything was fine. I think the sandwiches are pretty good. I love the bread but overall I feel like it wasn't something I would go out of my way to get. We got the prosciutto and pear sandwich.

Amazing breakfast and lunch spot. The vegetarian breakfast sandwich was to die for. The miso chocolate chip cookie was a soft slice of heaven. The owner, Stephan, was so warm and welcoming. You have to check this place out.

I always enjoy stopping in at Baskette when in Fremont. I've enjoyed the baked goods and coffee. They have a nice variety of cookies including miso chocolate chip cookies and butter pecan with a hint of rosemary. Service is always friendly and welcoming. I look forward to returning to try items on their menu.

This spot actually has a lot of food options. The blueberry scone was delicious. I also really like my London fog and my partner enjoyed his coffee. The service was great with the server bringing our drinks right out to us and being very friendly and intentional in his craft. The inside is super cute with local things to buy and a few high top two person tables to sit at. They do have a patio that's dog friendly, as evidenced by the adorable dog who was hanging out outside and making puppy dog eyes at everyone. I'd definitely stop back in the summertime with my pup!

Tldr: great sandwiches and pastries. Super cute vibes, street parking. Service: they were really nice, they were closing in 30 but still gave us the option to eat there. Ambiance: really cute outside and inside. Very clean and well decorated. Food: I ordered the focaccia bread and tuna sandwich. They were both wrapped to go and when I was guessing which was the focaccia, I was surprised that the focaccia was harder than the tuna sandwich the top of the focaccia is toasted really well. The pesto was good, it's not the pesto I expected it to be, it was a little chunky. It was not oily after eating it. The tuna sandwich on the other hand was good, had good cheesy taste and melt. The tuna was drier and the bread was drier but it might be because it's not full of oil and butter like other places make their tuna melts, so it was surprising that the sandwiches weren't oily. The miso cookie was good though, I couldn't taste the miso but it was a good sweetness, and it had salt flakes and a good balance of texture. I also got the Nanaimo bar which were pretty good, I just think it had too much topping personally, but if you enjoy that you would really like it! Both desserts were just the right amount of sweetness.

Stopped by this place after my hair appointment and I'm so glad I did! The café is super cute. I got the lamb sandwich and the miso chocolate chip cookie--both were delicious. The cookie was a little too sweet for my taste but still really good. The sandwich was excellent! The bread is made in-house, and the orange jam perfectly cut through the richness of the lamb. I also found out afterward that you can order half a sandwich with a soup or salad, which is such a nice option. Overall, a great spot for a quick bite or a casual meal!

Great place to get some healthy food! I got the breakfast smoothie and their miso chocolate chip cookie, which both were great! Very refreshing and flavorful, I highly recommend and would come back

A couple of friends put this place on my radar one was Elite Yelper Marie B. I came to the neighborhood to pick up something across the street at Marketime and decided to stop and check it out. Such a cute shop. Lot's of grab and go items no indoor seating bit there us a table out front. I ended up getting a Tuna Melt, small Brussel Booster Salad and a bag of Better Than Popcorn to take home for lunch and dinner. Definitely would love to try breakfast or something out of the pastry case next time everything looked so good. Service was friendly and quick. Will Make sure to visit when I'm in the area again.

Miso chocolate chip and orange spice cake
    Wennie H.

Cute interior, street parking, cozy atmosphere and friendly service....you can't ask for more. We stopped in for a quick post treat and ended up sitting at a table for a solid chunk of time. Ordered the miso chocolate chip cookie, orange spice cake, oat milk latte and drip coffee. Coffee was bitter and hot, latte was sweet and tasted like cereal milk, miso cookie was really rich and the orange cake was incredible. I didn't expect to like it and that was the best bite I've had in a long time. The citrus was a great punch and the sweetness of the cake wasn't overwhelming- it was all balanced well. The cake was also gluten and dairy free.

The charming outdoor seating immediately caught our attention and made for a relaxing lunch spot. We ordered the Café Mezze Plate, Shakshuka, and Mushroom Toast--more food than the two of us would normally order, but since it was our first visit, we wanted to sample a variety of dishes. The Café Mezze Plate came with an assortment of mezze, including hummus, whipped feta, roasted eggplant, green tahini, marinated olives, cucumber and turmeric cauliflower pickles, along with house-made pita and pita chips. It was fun to try so many different flavors, although the portions felt a bit small for the $36 price tag. The Shakshuka was flavorful but a little spicy for my daughter, though I enjoyed it. It came with two perfectly cooked eggs and two pieces of house-made pita. At $18, it was decent, but nothing particularly memorable. We couldn't finish the Mushroom Toast, so we took it home and had it the next day. It actually reheated very well and still tasted delicious. Overall, this café has a lovely atmosphere, especially the outdoor seating, making it a great place to gather with friends. The food was enjoyable, but the prices felt a bit on the high side for what was served. I'd be open to coming back if I were in the area, though it wouldn't be at the top of my recommendation list.

We were thrilled to discover it's new management's plans and community, service oriented nature - not to mention their excellent breakfast sandwiches and good beverages! Type of cuisine: Cafe fare - espresso beverages, as well as non-caffeinated items for kids and those who prefer not to partake. Breakfast sandwiches, burritos, pastries. Ambiance: Large, expansive and spacious. There is a small patio with outdoor seating available, should you prefer to dine facing Aurora's traffic congestion. But inside, office furniture helps create separte-feeling booth-like seating with small coffee/end tables for your purchases. Large tables, too, conference sized grace the main space for those wishing to work alone on devices, or engage in conversation among friends and family. An open area also exists, accounting for about one-third of the entire room, which allows for gathering while standing, as well as providing ample space for lines to grow and distance to be maintained (covid-safe). What I ordered: On most ever visit, I stick with my favorites: the bacon breakfast sandwich (if you like the bacon crispy, as that it be cooked out of the sandwich and alongside then placed inside), the sweet potato scone, the sausauge breakfast sandwich and the slightly spicy, vegan potato, bean burrito. My beverage of choice is the Melanin Mocha (dark chocolate moch), though I've also ordered the blackberry mocha, and a couple of others. My husband always sticks with The Karen (white chocolate mocha), while our children enjoy a cup of steamed milk with caramel sauce, whipped cream and sprinkles with their food. What I loved: Everything about this place; namely its mission and complete devotion to the youth and community. Empowerment is strong in this space and the food and drinks are a bonus that amplify and support the work being done. Why I loved it: For all of the reasons listed above - and more. Cost: Average
