The food was so good that I ate it all before I could manage a picture. I live in the neighborhood but had never stopped in before. I'm so glad we decided to try it because WOW it was outstanding. My partner and I both ordered ciabatta breakfast sandwiches and the bread was soft, fluffy, and perfectly toasted with yummy toppings for a great price. Our espresso drinks were similarly delicious, and I'm pretty picky about my coffee. The folks working (I think the owners?) were so incredibly nice and great to chat with while we waited for our order, which was also very quick. This is a delicious little cafe with friendly service and amazing liege waffles. This place definitely is way better than Sweet Iron. The paninis are fresh and warm, with delicious bread, and the waffles are wonderfully sweet, you don't even need any extra syrup or flavorings. Me and my wife saw this place on instagram and decided to go. Food is a 10, Coffee is 10 for sure but what really call my attention was the customer service that this place bring s to the clients. I'm an Arosa regular (as is my husband) and when it's Sunday we are sad, because they are closed. I mostly go for the atmosphere (intimate, friendly clientele, wonderful owners), and the baked goods (house made by owner Adriana--muffins, croissants, turnovers, waffles--the muffins are especially wonderful and the waffles are as good as they look. Paninis are generous and yummy. There are some gluten free options, too). Lending library and daily newspaper makes it easy to stall the rest of your day away. I hear the coffee is good too but I'm a tea drinker. However, the hot chocolate lives up to the hype. If you're a dog owner they have dog biscuits and you can tie your dog right outside where you can see them and vice versa. It's tucked away a bit, around the corner from another more pricey and less service-oriented shop. Give them a try! read more

This is an easy-to-overlook gem of a cafe. Tucked into a small retail/office plaza, we only noticed it when we were at an adjoining business. What a pleasant surprise! Coffee drinks are well made, food is truly delicious, and they have The. Best. Gluten-free chocolate chip cookies in town. We now make trips to Arosa just for the cookies, like a specialty bakery made them. All of that is just the beginning, though, the real deal here is the service. Nicest people anywhere. Last time we popped in for cookies, we discovered we had left the wallet at home. They gave us cookies anyway and told us to pay for them next time! Nothing overly elaborate, but tasty and perfect for what we were looking for. And today we had two arepas. My girlfriend had the beef and I had the avocado chicken salad. Both were very good, and to our surprise, filled us up. The arepas themselves were moist and tasty, with a nice little outside crusty crunch. Oh, and we had a home-made power bar, which was also delish. The waffles and java drinks look good too, so we might have to try those treats on our next trip. The staff are super friendly and when I worked in the same building a few years ago, they let us work on a tab-system where we would bring open checks for $25 or so at a time and just debit from it. The mocha really is sublime and everything we ordered to eat was warm and toasty. You can feel how much care they take making each dish. Black Forest ham Sammie with GF bread - simple and filling. I very much appreciate restaurants with GF options. The GF bread didn't crumble like other GF breads and was actually quite moist (thank you!!). I would probably throw some hot sauce on it or season it a bit more depending on personal taste. Mom: Soy chai tea latte with coconut milk - on a scale of Starbucks chai to homemade masala, this tea is closer to homemade. Not too sweet so it's not like that ooooother boxed shit. In terms of spice, it's not as spicy as Peet's (mmmm) but you can definitely taste some of the spices. Curry chicken soup - mild, flavorful, and filling. She got a bowl of it and loved how there were so many vegetables and a good ratio between meat and veggies. Also surprise cabbage that was yummy! She makes chicken curry all the time so her stamp of approval should not be taken lightly haha. Belgian waffle with blueberry - slightly burnt but gave it nice crunch, small but very filling.
