I had a great experience with Irvin. He was knowledgeable and professional . He helped me pick the perfect option within my budget. The process was smooth and hassle-free. We've been using Around the Block Pest Control for about 3 years now and are very happy with their service. We've used a couple of other services over the 15 years we've lived in Frisco and so far, Around the Block is the best! Their technicians are great! Jonathan called today to let me know he was on his way and asked if there was anything specific we wanted him to treat. Also, we have dogs and I need to know when they can go outside so Jonathan also let me know when the back yard was finished. Their customer service has been exemplary. read more

Nightmare. Becky in accounting just charges away without getting authorization and now I have to get an attorney. Told them I want to cancel and they charge a $180 fee for the discount I got. I responded I've paid one payment of $99 what exactly did I get a $180 discount on. Next day boom $180 charge on my visa. Never authorized it at all. They had a door to door sales guy knock on my door sell the product. Said. We just ask you to try us out for a year. That means you are locked in by the way. Find another company read more

Not happy with this company and really believe the reviews are false as well. When the tech originally came to my door, I was sleeping. I recently moved into my home and noticed I had spiders, crickets. I signed up for the services with hopes of things getting better. Well it did not. The spiders and Crickets have tripled in my home and outside of my home. I emailed the company to inform that I wanted to cancel the services because there treatments did not work. I was told they would come back out and spray again. I declined. This is the Second time the exterior of home had been sprayed now we are living with spiders and crickets. The tech NEVER told me the problem would get worse before better. This is to much money to give to a company that will increase your trouble. I have attached the communication from one of there employees and obviously she got an attitude when it is me that has to live with the problem. I knew of the cancellation fee, but I did not know my home would triple in bugs. Save your money and time. Shut your door on them and keep it moving. #WRONGHOUSEAROUNDTHEBLOCKPESTCONTROL# read more

Sadly, the owner of Nick's passed away and this company is now owned by Dunrite. I called that company based on the reviews of Nick's Air Services, but their services has definitely NOT been the same as mentioned on this profile. In summary, this company is expensive, can make improper recommendations, and the office is very difficult to get anyone to call you back. I absolutely would not use them again in the future and - had I read their Yelp profile for Dunrite Heating & Cooling - would never have called them in the first place. My experience: My air conditioning due to leaked refrigerant due to another HVAC technician not correct. Nick's/Dunrite came out during the same day and quickly identified the problem. There was a leak on the schrader valve. They got us back to running - for nearly $200/per pound of refrigerant. 5 lbs = about $1,000. Wow, but we had no choice as my original installer was not available. Our unit has not been keeping up with the 90s for the past two months and the technician recommended 3 different options. I chose 2 of the 3 options: a larger return air duct AND repairing the plenum. I was anxious to get the work scheduled and it took me hounding them to get them to schedule the work. Communicating with this office was very painful. I would never get calls back and would just get a text message indicating when they had scheduled the appointment. Their front desk support was exceedingly helpful but not empowered to do anything besides schedule appointments and pass along info. I finally had the appointment and the technician went to the wrong address. I got a call from them saying they had been at my house and then they proceeded to the next job. I spoke to them and learned they were at the wrong house, but could not turn around to go back to my house. I had to wait until the following week to get the appointment rescheduled. What a disaster. It got worse. The work was finally done - the return air duct and the plenum. I waited a couple of days, but there was NO change in the air conditioning. I called them back again and they scheduled another technician to come out. The second technician came out, a more senior technician, who confirmed that the unit was undersized and "working as it was designed" to cool at 75-76. I don't know a single person who is comfortable with 75-76 in the house when the outside is in the 90s. I called customer service again. When I finally got someone, I got a call from William, who is their most senior technician (an older guys in his late-50s probably). He came out with the original technical and instructed him how to properly do a heat load calculation. They determined indeed the unit is undersized and I needed a 3 ton. I called back the customer service asking for a refund to the work. I've called at least 3-4 times, each time speaking with a very nice person. However, I've still not been called back. What a disaster. I've finally had to resort to filing a complaint with my credit card and disputing it through them. It's unfortunate and I didn't want to have to do this, but - when no one will call you back - it's very very hard to trust this company to make things right.

Littering my front porch with your advertisements, left right next to my "No Soliciting" sign, gets a 1 star review as "reads and follows directions" is a grade school skill. If you can't manage that then you shouldn't be trusted to do anything else. The mosquito fogging and the little box that they put out have made our summer so much more enjoyable in our backyard. I continued to try and give this company every opportunity to act professional, show up on time and actually do what they were hired to do. They have never been less than an hour late to my property and they serviced it approximately every month. Not one time did they show up when they stated or even within an hour past the window of time they stated. Anything that is beyond their eye level, gets missed. I had to constantly call back and have them come back out to service it a second time because the wasp nests and other insects had nests right on the walls or lower roof line, skipped the nest 3 times even though it was pointed out on multiple occasions. I recently decided to give them another opportunity, the rep showed up 1 hour 30 minutes later than the time he had sent me saying he was 30 minutes from my house. Missed several hot spots. Since he was late beyond 1 hour 30 minutes, I dismissed the tech and will never use this company again. Lack of professionalism, doesn't seem to care about having customers wait at times 3 hours beyond scheduled time window in the past, they obviously don't care or learn from their mistakes. Hire a professional company that can communicate when outside the window by hours or a company that cares since the owner / president doesn't give a crap. Hire them and you'll experience the same garbage. Everyone in this community experienced the same as I have and fired them. They have no customers left in the community when they had many...Good luck if you hired them, you've been informed!!!!!!
