    Thursday Board Game Night
    Melanie V.

Around the Table is a friendly board gaming store that is always bustling with events! They have their own Discord and when I asked way back if there was a regular board game night, they added it to the weekly schedule and it's been going ever since. It felt really awesome to have that direct connection to the people running the store and be heard like that. They save tables for events and you can also reserve a table online if you'd like since it's pretty small overall. Everyone I've met - both the other people attending the board game night and the staff - have been super friendly. Staff will come around and chat about games when they have a moment since they also serve some basic eats & drinks on top of checking out people buying games. They are also SO NICE about letting you bring in food from other restaurants! I went through a time where I was SUPER SENSITIVE to dairy and gluten and couldn't have anything on their menu so I was very thankful that they even advertise outside restaurant food is ok! I recommend making another purchase from them (like a drink or game) if you take advantage of this. I will always buy a board game from here first vs big-box. A great local shop to support!

Someone stop me or I won't stop gushing about this place. Likely one of my favorite spots in the surrounding Seattle area. The staff are all super helpful and friendly, and you might just want to chat them up if it's your first time because of how many amazing things this place provides! They have beer on tap, really solid savory snacks, and if you're in the mood for big tubs of delicious ice cream that come in unique/classic flavors. After you grab a table, be sure to check out the game library to borrow from a large collection or board games. Bring a friend! Plenty of seating, though sometimes there are game events that occupy a section of the pub.

6 Stars! Around The Table Game Pub is an exceptional game store! Just recently I was looking for a very hard to find item a playmat for a high scoring game that is no longer currently available on the primary publishers website of Fantasy Flight games, BoardGameGeek Market, Amazon or Ebay after also with those Google searching for all practical purposes none to be found anywhere...... Drum roll..... I called up Around The Table Games "To the rescue" : ) the friendly attendant on the phone told me that they had 3 of them in stock and how many would I like?! Wow awesome!!!!!!!! Conclusion: If you're looking for things that are hard to find, there is a chance that Around The Table Game Pub has it highly worth calling and asking! Rockstars!

I have never been to a board game pub and was blown away here. Nick was an amazing employee, super informative and welcoming. Ton of board game expansions and variants that you might never know about unless you hear about it or see it in a setting like this. There's a game library to try out different games inside, so something chill to do with friends and low cost, if at all. No cost to try out a game but there's food to share which is a great deal to sit down, snack, play games, and enjoy company. Waffle fries here are crispy and delicious by the way.

I come here for the ice cream, not games. I know its funny. They have around 10 different ice cream flavors everytime. I love that its NOT those common flavors chocolate, vanilla, etc. There are ube, ginger, thai milk tea, pasion fruit, etc. Half selections are vegan ice cream and half are regular ones. I love ginger and ube the most. Everyone work there are so friendly, the guy mentioned they had competition (before covid) to find unique ice cream flavors.

Root beer float with ube ice cream. Really good!

We had our food orders taken quickly, as we stated that we'd need to be in and out fast. She accommodated us and told us that there was only the one cook. She got our bills prepared for a quick exit and all were processed for us before the end of our meal. This was greatly appreciated. The food was average bar food. I had a fish and chips special, which was a great value at $12.99, but was pretty greasy. The others had burgers and pizza, which they said was just ok. Probably a great place for a few beers!

Kitchen is serving great pub grub. In long This one hovered in my mind between 4 and 5 stars for a while. It's not quite a basic place, but they maybe could live with being called that. Bottom line, even if it's not for absolutely everyone, the people who come in and enjoy it won't feel like anything's missing at all, so it's five stars. You pull up to kind of a crummy parking lot in front of kind of a crummy-looking strip mall, and you walk through a heavy security door. Nothing looks or feels fancy from outside. Inside, though, everything's clean and well lit. All the furniture is well made; there are lots of custom booths and the light fixtures all match. You don't feel a sense of luxury, but they built this place from the ground up, they built it right, and it's a nice antidote to the exterior vibe. There are at least a dozen huge flatscreens up around the room, at least downstairs. Evidently there's a whole upstairs that we didn't even check out. There aren't a ton of sports decorations, they keep it tidy--but the TVs are showing sports news or the game. This place must get thumping for big games. I can't even imagine trying to park those days. You get a warm greeting right away, with menus on your table in seconds. The menu is a lot of dependable old pub-grub favorites. Pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, chips, rings, fries, and so on. Thing is, they put a lot of thought and effort into each one, kinda going for bragging rights for the best in town on lots of simple dishes. They make the onion rings in house, I'd bet. You can add garlic and parmesan to your chips. The sandwiches are built right with plenty of filling. Prices are competitive, and you will definitely get full. Some people who love to eat love pub grub, and some of those people built the menu and designed the recipes here. We had a couple rounds of cocktails, and all of them did the trick. Made well, served right, good balance of sweetness, good flavors. If this place were a little closer we'd be here a lot.

I was very fond of Blue Lightning and was sad when they closed and came over to Vessel to see if they may have beer similar to Blue Lightning. Alas, they did not but had a generous amount of guest taps. A woman who sat several seats away from me either was the (or a) owner and vowed to get their own beer on tap again soon. But unfortunately I didn't make it back before the ownership and the space got revamped again into more of a music venue now known as Club Hektic. This is a relatively new reincarnation and I haven't been here since the change and I don't know what has changed and what has stayed the same from my visit when it was known as Vessel Taphouse. But as Vessel I did enjoy the decor quite a bit. The idea is that it was pirate themed but I walked away thinking it was more Gothic. But either way the atmosphere was sure cool! At a glimpse from pictures online it looks different inside as Club Hektic but the atmosphere still looks alluring.
