I will say the agents are AWESOME!!!! I had booked in October and in February had to change my flights. The agent, Tim, was able to change my flights quickly and with very little cost. He responded within 24 hours, which is much appreciated when you are in a third world country with minimal opportunity to get online. Also was greatly was impressed with the most amazing airlines (Qatar is awesome) and making sure that my dietary needs were met (vegan) for the multiple 12-14 hour flights. I think my only issue is that it might have been a bit cheaper to get a truly around the world ticket with an airline that could easily and cheaply add a destination and/or change of location. These guys were great, I was shocked by the price they offered me, so much so I was hesitant in dealing with them. Luckily I found other reviews on here and I am glad that I went with this company. They even made sure that we had meal requests and seat assignments. They suggested stopping off in Bali as well for a few days just because it is a Bucket List item for so many. Sometimes they were a little slow to reply to us but I think we were just impatient because we are looking forward to this so much! I am always weary of companies that take advantage of people but after many reviews praising RTW I decided to take the jump and I AM SOOO HAPPY I DID!!! I 100% recommend this company because Timothy Aurora is simply amazing! He was able to get me around the world ticket covering 4 continents for really cheap price. He added great destinations like Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Hawaii for like $500 in Total. I was traveling 4 months and crossing many countries but one thing that never changed was TIm being there for me. Whenever I called him or emailed him, he would always get back to me and resolve any issues I had. Sometimes, he would say that he would email me right away but would take long but that is nothing compared to the overall services he provided. The price I got for my trip was pretty astounding. I flew an incredibly complicated route around the world (and more!) yet RTW and Tim Aurora were able to sort things out for a price no one else could match. I also liked how he offered to add in Bali (or Singapore) for free on my way from Thailand to Australia, and Fiji/Hawaii from New Zealand to the US. He was also flexible enough to make some changes to my flights without charge after I had left. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars was that he wasn't always the promptest at responding (though I did pester him a lot I must admit) and since there were times when I could find cheaper flights (especially short ones in Asia) on my own when I went to look up last-minute flights. So as long as you do your homework and check discount airline prices for add-on flights, which is really easy now-a-days, this definitely seems like the service to use for a big trip. read more

The worst experience in customer service that I have ever encountered! Almost got stuck at the airport several times because Tim forgot to book my ticket out of the country I was going to. Also several occasions where I was told he would get back to me in 2 to 3 days and that turned into 2 to 3 weeks! We live in San Francisco. I'm a bartender and the love of my life is a waitress/server. We decided to have a life experience and travel around the world for 2 months. Googled "trips around the world". Came up with this guy named Tim Aurora. It was Kinda like winning the lottery. He not only got us the best price available for flights from SF/Italy//Thailand/Vietnam/Tokyo/Hawaii/SF. He was available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In Vietnam my wife got sick and we had to go to a hospital. It was a frightening experience. They insisted that she needed surgery to remove her appendix. We immediately needed to cut our trip short and get back to SF. Tim was not only available to figure out the least expensive and most expedient way to get us home. He got us upgraded to 1st class from Saigon to Tapai. And then business class from Taipai to SF, for $350 more than coach. Not sure how he did that. But he had to do some smooth talking to get it done. He ingeniously cared and kept in touch with us every step of our trip home. Did I mention this was on Easter? Not an easy travel day. My wife is fine. I was just happy Megan was OK. But he continued to go above and beyond, by persistently asking us for paperwork from Hospitals so we would receive a good portion of our unused original flight cost home refunded. My husband and I recently booked our second trip through Timothy. We booked a 9 week trip through him in 2015 and went to India, Thailand, Australia and a free stopover in Hong Kong, which we could extend for however long we wanted. When my husband told me about the free stopover and the price that Tim got us for tickets, I couldn't believe the price of the tickets and then told my husband, "No one does things for free!". Of course we paid for our accommodation and food etc, but no extra charge for flying to Hong Kong. Our first destination was India and Tim emailed my husband to see how the trip was going shortly after we arrived. We were in the south of India, but booked a seperate flight (not through Tim) during our stay to New Delhi and onto Agra to see the Taj Mahal. Tim asked if we needed accommodation in New Delhi and offered us the use of his apartment! His friend was waiting for us at the apartment building, took us up to the apartment and let us get settled. He came back shortly after with hot tea, samosas and other snacks. Not only that, but his friend and his wife had us over to their home for an Indian dinner with their family! Before going to their home for dinner they took us to a salon where they paid for me to get my eyebrows threaded and my husband got a shave. We were definitely not expecting that type of treatment!! We had an early flight the next morning and Tim's friend told us he would take us to the airport. He came to pick us up at 4 a.m.! Tim and his friends went above and beyond to look after us! A few days before we left America, Tim had changed one of our connecting flights from India to Thailand - we originally had a connection in Mumbai, but Timothy said going through Sri Lanka was a lot easier. I was a bit nervous to change the flight just because we were leaving the country in a few days, but since Tim is from India I trusted his expertise. Everything went smoothly for all of our flights for the entire trip! There is absolutely no way that we could have gotten that type of deal by booking all those flights on our own! We were very pleased with Tim's service! We told many people the price of our tickets and they were shocked. We knew that with any other future international travels we would book through Timothy again. Less than a week ago we purchased our tickets for a European trip we have this summer. Timothy was very patient with us as we changed our travel plans and countries quite a few times on him!! Even after we booked our tickets, we had to change the date of one of our flights within Europe as it conflicted with a tour we have booked for a convention in Tbilisi, Georgia. Timothy said it was no problem and he automatically changed our flight to the following day. Again the price he got for us with these tickets, especially going to multiple countries within Europe .. Tim's prices are decent at best, after all, travel agents offer a service with the same flight booking information wheverever you go. The biggest challenge wasn't that all the bookings had to go through Tim and if you had any questions, the airline would not respond to your query, it was Tim's poor customer service as someone points out. Tim was impossible to reach over the phone, terribly late on e-mails and is pathetic on follow ups. He failed to checked bag included in the fare, and when I asked him about it, his follow up was not-existent. Save yourself the time and money and take your business elsewhere. read more

Tim booked RTW tickets with 10 cities and 13 legs on a 16 week journey for my husband, daughter, and me. He found decent flight times or looked into different times when I asked. The price was extremely affordable. You cannot set up the flights too early as there are fewer flight options - I tried to set the flights up very early, but needed to be patient. I was worried about not having seats ahead of time, but on most flights, if I couldn't set up the seats in advance, I was able to choose them when I checked in online the day before the flight and we were always able to sit together. If I wasn't able to check in online, Tim was easily contacted by WhatsApp and helped me with any problems. One flight was cancelled which Tim knew before I did and had already set up a new flight on the same day and checked with me before finalizing the flight. Every flight was made with no problems. I used Tim to book a round the world ticket for a 31/2 months trip to 9 countries in North Africa, Asia and Europe, and his quote was by far much cheaper than any other company I requested quotes from. Tim was great at changing around my itinerary more than half a dozen times as I had to make changes to my flight prior to leaving and while on my trip. While there were a few bumps in the road during the trip, Tim was able to fix them in time for departures without a charge. I definitely appreciated this. I will recommend Tim and his company to my friends and family and to anyone looking for affordable round the world tickets. His prices can't be beat. The only one thing I would say that should be improved is the response time when you send an email or call Tim. Sometimes when you're planning a trip of this magnitude, time is of the essence and a seamless and fast response time will make the service much better.
