PROS - Flat Rate per Day…read more- Convenient - Open from 5:30am-12:30am - Refrigerated Items Accepted - No Size Limit - Pay on Pick Up CONS - Ease of Locating Located in the baggage claim area of SEA-TAC International, alongside the window/exit side between baggage claims 9 and 10 is the convenient Smarte Carte Storage. Be aware that it can easily be missed, but it does have a yellow painted wall similar to that used for their pay-to-rent smarte cartes throughout the arrival and departure areas. My experience was a pleasant one. Given that I hadn't been to Seattle, and it was on my bucket list, it came in handy to have somewhere to drop off my carry-on duffel bag while I explored Seattle on my 8 hour layover. It took some research as this baggage storage area was ran by Ken's Baggage prior to 2016. The price was very convenient, for two overhead sized duffel bags it came out to approximately $18 for whole day storage (this was for 2018/01/04), and Smarte Carte Storage is open almost 24 hours, so you can still access your belongings regardless of when you were to pick them up. However, I do not know if you can add to/access your belongings inbetween drop off and pick up... that would be a good thing to know. The employees were pleasant and patient. Unfortunately, I do not recall the name of the lady who helped store our luggage as we were in a hurry, but Bernard helped us retrieve our luggage.. we also got to see what the storage area looked like in the back, and it is very well organized. They even had a refrigerated area, I'm guessing for any ice boxes carrying any fish/seafood that was caught to be flown out, which was unexpected but I'm sure helpful in many cases. Would I return? Most definitely. I'll be sure to post current pricing as of my visit (2018.01.04) for those that are also searching for a place to store luggage/belongings during a long layover at SEA-TAC. --/ One for ME, YELP for YOU. @sandyexplores

We approached an individual we believed to be a TSA or airport authority figure to ask for directions to the standard security line. This individual was actually a sales representative for CLEAR. The representative intentionally misled us, stating they would help us through the line quickly, and explicitly stated, "it's not even really anything you have to pay for." He took my credit card, completely operated the terminal himself, and clicked through all the terms, conditions, and contract agreements on our behalf. My sister and I were never allowed to see the screen, review the pricing, or consent to a $418.00 annual subscription ($209.00 per account). We never used the service and canceled immediately upon discovering the unauthorized charges on my bank statement. I contacted CLEAR Member Services twice to resolve this, but they refuse to issue a refund, hiding behind a "14-day cancellation policy." A cancellation policy is legally void when a company's own employee intentionally conceals the contract and pushes the agreement buttons for the consumer. This is a predatory, unauthorized enrollment. I demanded a supervisor review this case and issue a full refund and all requests were ignored.

Imagine this. You…read moreleave New York after a long 12 days. Your Russian blue cat keeps escaping and needs you home. And You're full of bagels and fatigue. Your flight is so delayed that you end up missing your connecting flight in Seattle by 3 minutes. It's 10 pm. You're crying. You ask Alaska airlines for another flight. It's not until 9:45am. You ask for a hotel. They tell you "no". You threaten to unalive yourself. They give you a hotel. The Doubletree by Hilton. You take the shuttle and check in. Your breath stinks, you're tired, your eyes are puffy and red and a bit crusty too. The front desk agent is a Filipina with kind eyes. She gives you a warm chocolate chip oat and walnut cookie that you shove greedily in your mouth. It's delicious. She gives you a second cookie, a toothbrush, toothpaste and a room key. The room is next to Valerie, who you trauma bonded with at the Alaska airlines customer service counter. The room is clean, there's a large tv and desk. The furniture looks a bit older and wooden. The A/C is set to a pleasant temperature. There's a built in phone charger on the bedside table. You shower, and the water is warm and the pressure is strong. You no longer stink. Your breadth is minty. You crawl into bed. The bed is comfortable. You sleep like a dead rat. It's glorious. Look, the airport Hilton doubletree isn't the fanciest of accommodations, but a warm cookie, a sympathetic front desk agent and a toothbrush goes a long way when you're having a hard time.

To make it worse, the room had no AC and no windows that opened, so there was no way to get fresh air or cool down. Customer service was a bigger issue. Staff seemed indifferent at best, and basic requests went unaddressed or were handled with a level of rudeness I wasn't expecting from a Hilton property. The shuttle service was the low point. It was scheduled to run every 20 minutes but was more like every 45, and drivers were consistently late and openly rude to guests easily the worst shuttle experience I've had at any hotel in Washington state. At one point, the driver left passengers stranded at the airport, forcing me to take an Uber to the hotel instead. When I arrived, I saw that same driver standing on the steps chatting with another driver no sense of urgency or care for the guests who'd been left waiting. I expect more from this brand, and this location fell far short. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

However, if you need a travel agency that has your back and looks out for your entire travel experience, skip Mango Tours. If you need a travel agency that is professional, caring, well-informed, and efficient, skip Mango Tours. My parents booked a trip to Manila with them for February 2020. When the Philippines was shutting down international travel because of the COVID-19 situation, however, this agency completely blew it. And I mean they royally screwed it up, and if it wasn't for me and my brother-in-law, my parents would now be stuck in Manila until the travel ban was lifted who-knows-when. On 3/16/2020, my Mom emailed me from Manila that they had been given 72 hours to leave the Philippines. She had been trying to get a hold of Mango Tours since 3/13, to no avail (by phone and email). "I will look into it and get back to you," her agent emailed back. She never got back. My Mom emailed her again 3/16, and said our friends have booked flights out; we are in lockdown, please book us tickets to leave Manila before 3/20. The Eva Air office in Makati was already closed due to the pandemic, and no one from Eva Air was answering the main reservation line. The agent emailed again, "I am monitoring all the flights. So far eva air flights are ok. I will keep you posted po. We are monitoring everything from here." My Mom never heard from her again. UNACCEPTABLE! I called my Mom once I got her email on 3/16, and they were in a panic. My parents are elderly, diabetic, and need medication. They were worried they'd be stuck in Manila and run out of medication, and in the pandemonium not be able to see a doctor right away. They didn't want to be stuck in Manila when there was no information as to how long the travel ban would be. It could be months. Their home is here, and they were merely balikbayans visiting the Philippines. Everyone that needed to go could fly out between 3/17 to 3/19. Beginning 3/20, no more international flights in or out of the country! I said to my Mom, "I will call Mango Tours from here; it will probably be easier." On 3/16 at 7pm I phoned, and was #20 in line to reach an agent. I waited 1.5 hours for someone to pick up. When I finally got an agent, she took down my parents' booking number and names. I said, "Hey can I give you my name and number, in case we get disconnected?" "Sure," she said, and took the information down. I said, "You'll call me back if we get disconnected, right? I can't wait another 1.5 hours again to call you, and you don't have a direct line." "Of course, ma'am," she said. As soon as she put me on hold, the line disconnected. SHE NEVER CALLED ME BACK, EVER. Again, beyond unacceptable, unprofessional, and unreliable. And seriously, what a shitty thing to do! After that crap experience I almost blew a gasket. Instead I channeled my frustrated anger into finding flights. My BIL and I searched online, as flights were literally booking up as we found them. We resorted to looking to just get them out of Manila to anywhere West coast. He fortunately found them a flight to Honolulu, and booked it ASAP. Then found flights from Honolulu to Seattle. In the nick of time, because at midnight on 3/19 no more flights out of Manila were allowed. Can you imagine if we couldn't get my parents out?! They are home now, and we are relieved and grateful. As for Mango Tours: This agency should not be operating at all. Lousy, ignorant, lackadaisical, uninformed service and staff. If they had booked them out immediately as soon as my Mom asked we wouldn't have had to go through that whole ordeal. My parents will NEVER use them again, and will be sure to tell all their friends about this. Grade: F.
