While this restaurant just recently opened here (it was formerly an Indian shop), I was impressed by every aspect of our experience. They must have quickly addressed issues raised by a few other reviewers as I found none of the issues mentioned. In fact, I found it to be one of the best overall restaurant experiences we've had in the San Diego area. The fact that the restaurant is family-owned and not a chain makes it even more special that we support these local businesses. First, the food was nothing short of fantastic, delicious and cooked with less oil than we expected, which we appreciate. The worst thing that often spoils Asian food (Thai cuisine, but also Chinese) is everything being drowned in excessive oil, but it was not the case here. We ordered a number of dishes over two different visits, including Ginger Fish, Thai Fried Rice, Pad See Ew, Eggplant Basil, Pad Thai and Fried Tofu appetizers, and they all had a great balance of seasoning, still tasting great, but healthier than other shops. The Ginger fish had a generous portion of fish, but also ginger which we liked. The Basil eggplant and the fried rice also included a good supply of veggies and meat and other items on top of the rice, our kids can be picky, but they devoured this and it was a hit for everyone. The other aspect of the menu which we appreciated was that you could pretty much add anything to any dish. That is, if you're pescatarian, you can order fish with the basil or with the pad thai or the basil dish. Or if you're vegan, there's a vegan duck, tofu or veggie option. It's rare to have so many options available, useful if you have a mix of vegetarian, vegan and/or meat eaters in your group. The service was great, we came during lunch so perhaps we got more attentive service because it was less crowded, but our server greeted us with a smile, came over to check on us, and chatted with us that just added to the pleasant expereince. Also, because we came during lunch, there is a lunch special, which is a little confusing, but it is basically the same entrees as you would order for dinner, but the lunch special will include two egg rolls, a generous portion of soup (almost a bowl, more than a cup), and a Thai Iced tea. That's on top of the huge portions they serve for each entree. That was good value as everyone in our group got to have a soup, drink and appetizer without spending any extra. The shop itself was comfortable, there was some cultural decorations, but nothing stood out, nice enough to feel like a Thai restaurant, only issue may be with larger groups as many of the seating are booths that can seat 4, but there only seemed to be one table in the center for any group over 4. Overall, this is a place we are happy returning to and recommending to others. If you find any issues, I would make sure you mention it to the owner (who was there when we visited), as he was very open to feedback and I believe he is going to keep improving and make this a great place for the San Diego community to enjoy.

Honestly best Thai in San Diego. Incredible flavor. Feels homemade but also can't make this at home 10/10 will be back every chance we get.

Craving soup late night and I happen to see this place but I believe it's their second location (Aroyd Thai Kitchen 2) It's my first time coming here. Im looking forward to trying their tom kah soup. The person is nice and offered us to sit even though we are ordering the food to go. The place is decent and they have a lot of pictures of the food that they sell. Glad that they are open until 12.

The food was amazing (Pad See Ew, Thai Fried Rice, Fried Shrimp) and the portions were so generous and HUGE. The Pad See Ew was seasoned to perfection and they do not skimp out on the proteins included in each dish. Totally worth the value for what you get. Also, the service is so warm and hospitalae. The owner greeted us with a warm smile and the overall atmosphere was so welcoming. Will definitely come back again the next time I'm in San Diego!

Good is good and excellent. The desserts are really good. But you want the best dish. Get your hands on the Crab Rangoon.

Shoutout Thailand Decent mango sticky rice. MANGO WAS REALLY FRESH REALLY GOOD. But you can kinda see in the photo, they drenched the balls to the wall in the coconut sugar sauce? Super sweet, if you like that kinda thing, this for sure for you. Came out warm, overall ok.

Only a few parking spaces were available out front, and they were shared with the neighboring businesses. Some countertop seating and a couple of long tables were set up for inside dining. Upon walking in, it felt like a combination of a cafe, deli, and wine bar. Two charcuterie boards and six Italian style sandwiches made up the food offerings. For beverages, wines by the glass, various beers, and wines/kombucha in a can were available. You can certainly place large orders ahead of time for catering and special events. The ladies who staffed the service counter were very cheerful. The choice for my to-go order was a Spicy Italian Muffuletta. The sandwich consisted of thinly sliced mortadella and Genoa salami, provolone, arugula, and a spread of muffuletta. A drizzle of olive oil and balsamic glaze was added on top along with salt and pepper. Freshly baked piabatta was the bread that was used. The item was neatly assembled and wrapped in wax paper before being sliced in half. The spread was savory while the bread was soft with a crunchy exterior. As a bonus, I was given a complimentary bag of Italian potato chips that were pesto flavored. I was glad to have those to munch on with the sandwich. Overall, I gave a 4.5 star rating for a very positive experience at All Aboard.

It's located at Liberty Station, which is, what seems to be a historical park. So there's a giant shopping area, several restaurants, people playing croquet, and much more. We were able to find parking and it's free. Even during the holiday season and it being a tad crowded, we had no issue. The cafe is extremely well themed and there is so much to look at in here! Service was super welcoming and our waitress had a such a great extroverted, entertaining personality. I didn't get her name but if she ever wanted to be a maid at a maid cafe, she'd be one of the top favorites for sure, she was so fun and personable! We had straws tossed at us, silly jokes, there were cards in the ceiling, there was a live radio station DJ right next to our booth. It was awesome! This place is so FUN! It's very retro 50's-60's themed with each section and room having completely different themes as well? Super cool. There was one that looked like you were in a moving train car, one where it was neon and hippy themed, etc. Lots of photo opportunities and I recommend, maybe when waiting for your food just walk around and take a gander. Portions were MASSIVE. I thought I was going to be able to share an appetizer sampler (Garbage Plate) with everyone but everyone ended up ordering their own entrees making a huge massive amount of food that had to be taken home in like 4-5 to go boxes. So keep in mind your portions are gonna be larger than life. All of the food is very classic American fast food diner fare. You got your burgers, fries, sandwiches, and of course milkshakes. I also had to get an outrageous milk shake here and it was the chocolate chip brownie decadence which wasn't horribly sweet as I'd imagine and it's not as daunting as something you'd get from Black Tap. Easy to take to go too and not too thick and coagulated. For my regular drink, I got the Green River which is a nice green soda with lots of cherries on top. They also had seasonal cocktail drinks too, which is always fun. There's an arcade off to the side, you get complimentary food server hats, and even though the penny press machine gave me something off center and silly they let me have another one for free with their own coinage. Definitely worth the visit since these type of places don't really exist in SoCal anymore and I definitely will come back with friends!

[Parking]: Parking can be somewhat difficult during busy weekends, but there are designated parking lots throughout Liberty Station so it will require a bit of patience and driving around to find an available spot. [Amenities]: Free Wi-Fi and public restrooms are available. The market has multiple patio seating areas. There is a bar called Mess Hall Bar with TVs, but they were not showing the sports games our party wanted to watch. Please note that the food hall is located close to San Diego International Airport so visitors can hear noises on airplanes taking off and getting ready to land. [Vendors]: The market has some vendors selling books and handcrafted items. As for the food options, I thought they were fairly mediocre compared to other food halls in Los Angeles or Orange County. Some recommended options include Parana (empanadas), Wicked Maine Lobster (lobster rolls), Kebab Craft (Mediterranean food), and Mama Made Thai (Pad Thai). [Conclusion]: While it is great to see San Diego have a food hall that houses various cuisines in one spot, the market has a subpar parking situation, noise pollution from airplanes, and not-so-exciting food options. P.S. - If visitors have extra time to spare, then definitely walk around and check out the nearby art galleries and small museums.
