    Lemongrass ribeye fries

Great food and reasonable prices. The spot is quite hidden but we always make sure to go on our way down to Padres games. We love their loaded fries which are unique and have a nice kick!

When we pulled up, it looked closed. Had we not tried the door and found out it was open we'd have left. The sandwiches a are great. Warm and toasty bread filled with yummy delight. Not much at most but a good place for a good sandwich.

I've been a Cali Bahn Mi fan for a long time, but this is now the third time in a row that I've ordered spring rolls for takeout and the rice paper is split and the filling bursting out. The split side is also down in the wrapped container when I pick them up, so I don't notice until a take them out. Super disappointing. The quality hasn't been great lately.

On a surprise detour as the designated driver for my hungry crew, we discovered Cali Banh Mi, tucked just off the freeway. Though slightly tricky to access, it turned out to be a delicious hidden gem with plenty of parking and both indoor and outdoor seating. We were immediately impressed by the freshly baked bread, which set the tone for the meal. The ingredients were crisp, flavorful, and clearly fresh. We tried three different Banh Mi sandwiches: chicken, lemongrass ribeye beef, and pork--each one delivered in taste, texture, and balance. Beyond the sandwiches, the menu offered a wide variety of tempting options, including a great selection of drinks, desserts, and even fresh shrimp chips that added a fun twist. The friendly staff and vibrant atmosphere made the stop even more enjoyable.

Grabbed breakfast (classic Banh mi stuffed with hash browns) and Vietnamese iced coffee. Very tasty, clean atmosphere and prompt service.

looks legit but I dont know if this place is vietnamese owned. - bread: no chew whatsoever. bread is everything for the experience.... tastes more like a subway piece of bread roll: negative! -the ingredients looks legit too. but the pickled veggies have no taste.... also way too small and little. the cucumbers - not enough either. it just missed the mark altogether. - I wouldnt ever eat here again. if you are hungry and need a sandwich, its edible, just not vietnamese edible. When I asked if the vietnamese coffee is drip coffee, the guy gaved me a puzzled look. He didnt even know what I was talking about......... hmmmm dont get me wrong, if you get it right... youget it. but the taste is nothing vietnamese! :/

    SURF & TURF SPRING ROLLS

The banh mi bread was so fresh and perfectly toasted. Fillings were so delicious and flavorful. Also tried the surf and turf spring rolls which was a little different but still good. Loaded with shrimp but the meat was not like sliced steak but more of minced then cooked after being molded together. The owner was super friendly and sweet! She told me the popular items on the menu and I wasn't disappointed. Definitely will come back to try something different next time.

Oh my gosh, YUMM. Talk about the biggest banh mi option menu I've ever seen INCLUDING all day breakfast. They have a lovely little treat display as well with delicious and all over the board items and a full menu or coffees and bobas. The service was very friendly and the location itself was clean, modern, with a lot of natural light and very casual.

Service was there! My to-go order was ready in around 8 minutes! This place is definitely pricey, especially if you add a drink to your order. Compared to other Vietnamese restaurants, this place is not authentic. Pork vermicelli is one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes, and the dish was nice and light! However, the pork was a bit dry.

The cleanest, brightest, and aesthetically pleasing banh mi shop. Service efficient. Food is a bit expensive and Americanized, but the sandwiches are a foot long and loaded with protein. While the bread is very light and airy, it's not your typical French baguette. The surf and turf beef was sweet? The spring rolls came with not enough sauce. Good if you're in a rush and need a quick bite.

Cali Banh Mi did a great job of renovating the former space occupied by Muscle Mill Grill on Garnet Ave. The updated light fixtures and new paint inside made a big difference to the ambiance as it felt cozier than before. If you aren't heading westbound on Balboa Ave, then a better option to arrive here would be to pull into the McDonald's driveway on Mission Bay Dr and then park in the corner adjacent to the outdoor patio of this suite. There were four reserved parking spaces for CBM in that area. The menu was surprisingly extensive with traditional Vietnamese, American deli style, and breakfast banh mi sandwiches available in addition to boba drinks, spring rolls, salads, energy and Cali bowls, fried rice, and desserts. I ordered the classic Shrimp and Pork Spring Rolls along with a savory BBQ Pork Vietnamese Banh Mi. Each item was a good value for the serving size. A standard peanut dipping sauce came with the spring rolls. The banh mi was on a legitimate French baguette and not some other type of bread. The outdoor patio doubled the on-site seating capacity and was a feature that the other CBM locations don't have. You may have to take a circuitous route if you are coming from a particular direction (e.g. north or west). Otherwise, it's great to have a Vietnamese sandwich shop in this neighborhood so you don't have to drive to their Convoy District or Point Loma locations.

What a feast. Doc ordered wonderful items for lunch. Huge generous portions that were each delicious. A treasure trove of flavors and their fried rice and steak bowl blew me away. The veggies in the dishes were fresh, brightly colored and even the way they were placed in the containers that Grub Hub delivered were excellent. Thank you Doc for a wonderful satisfying yummy meal, SO much for lunch!

All you naysayers saying "fillers... premade...", just look to your right when you order - you'll see a fridge full of WHOLE roasts, wrapped and ready to be made. * Owner is regularly working the shop and you can tell he loves what he does. Super friendly and patient to walk you through the menu. * That French dip is a MUST try. Crispy sesame bun outside, cheesy and meaty inside. I'll be dreaming about it. * Biggest surprise - those fries! Best curly fries in SD hands down. It is what it is: * Yes, it's pricey. $20ish a sandwich. But weighing it all out, you get what you pay for. You're going to pay $4 less for a little sub down the street with an EIGHTH of the meat (and that stuff down the street isn't home made). * No inside seating. 4ish tables out front available to sit and eat at. * This is best fresh, for sure. Don't expect a good reheat experience. The bad: * Parking sucks. It PB so it's all paid parking. * Restrooms are not close. Verdict: * Phenomenal premium sandwiches that are worth every penny if you understand New England Roast Beef. He's doing it better than most on the east coast.

The sandwich: This thing costs a pretty penny, so be prepared to shell out. They do slam an ungodly amount of roast beef in there. My experience was that the whole thing was a soggy mess. Was it particularly mind boggling roast beef? Not really. Mostly tasted like mayo and barbecue sauce, which it's smothered in. The fries: they do curly fries here, cooked in beef tallow and seasoned with barbecue seasoning. These are really good! They were lava hot when I got them, and the seasoning is great! Really good by themselves and better with ketchup. Service was counter side, quick and casual. Pretty sure the owner was the one who took my order. They have no indoor seating, and a shared outdoor space with the restaurants next door. There are only a few tables, and even fewer with shade, so if it's crowded be prepared to take it elsewhere. Overall, since the place brands itself as a roast beef place, I'd give it average rating since the sandwich was disappointing. Maybe one of the other sandwiches would be a better choice.

It's easily one of my favorite breakfast and lunch spots in PB whether I'm grabbing something quickly on my way to work or having a cute morning brunch with the girls. The food is always fresh and delicious, everything is beautifully presented, and the staff is always so sweet and helpful. The space itself is on the smaller side with both indoor and outdoor seating, but that's honestly part of its charm. It's cozy, intimate, and almost feels like you're going over to someone's cute house for breakfast. It's one of my favorite spots for a morning with the girls or even a birthday brunch. My two favorites are definitely the protein pancakes and the chicken tacos with coleslaw instead of beans they honestly fight for the #1 spot depending on the day I also love the pesto eggplant sandwich, mahi tacos, and chilaquiles. And if you love tacos, definitely come on a Tuesday because they're 50% off for Taco Tuesday! As a personal trainer, one of the things I appreciate most is that they list the protein content of different menu items. I recommend Armonia to my clients all the time because it's somewhere you can find nutritious, balanced options that actually taste amazing. They also make it super easy to order online and grab something between clients or on my way to work. I love supporting a small local business that has become such a staple in my routine. After all these years, it's still one of my absolute favorite spots in Pacific Beach

I…read moredidn't get a chance to read others reviews first but did notice that they had a stellar Yelp rating, so here goes: Armonía Kitchen has a cute little cafe like feel to it. You walk up and order at the counter and then take a seat. Space is very limited inside--one or two high tops and a few regular tables. They also offer outdoor seating with a nice patina garden vibe out front adjacent to Garnet. I was a little confused by the menu and asked if it was a vegan restaurant. They explained it is not but that they have plenty of plant based options. I ordered the mushroom carnitas Skinny Burritos and a Chaga Latte. The burritos were good but not what I expected. They are smaller burritos (yet very filling--one was more than enough for me). Very savory. My brain was confused though. Don't get me wrong, they were tasty, but there is something I can't put my finger on that didn't work for me. The ingredients were all very fresh and love the fact there was guacamole included in the burritos. The Chaga Latte was among the best I've had. They make their own Chaga powder here and I could feel the difference. It was a little sweet for my taste but the mushrooms were potent and I felt great after just a few sips. The heart decor was a nice added touch. People all around me to amazing looking pancake, bowls and egg dishes. I will definitely return to try again and see if we can add one more star!
