My second time here. I was able to control myself with the spicy bean dip. Ordered a chicken burrito. Was very filling. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

This is very classic Mexican comfort food. Very familiar and predictable. Which is just what you need sometimes. The restaurant was well themed and decorated, and the service was just fine; slow with drink refills. Food was delicious and I would love to come back. I had the enchiladas, and they were exactly as they should be; piping hot, really cheesy, and sauce covering the whole plate 10/10

Arriba Mexican Grill is great for lunch and dinner. Service is excellent . Lunch specials are always good with the chips and salsa. My family comes here when in the neighborhood. It's near a busy shopping center and the 51 .

Instead of coming alone, I've brought coworkers/friends here for happy hour after work. Happy hour - weekdays 3-6pm $3 slices of cheese or pepperoni pizza $3 beer $4 tacos $10 cocktails $10 wine glasses $10 small plates Each time, I've ordered the Kokumotsu - haku vodka, lemon liqueur, pandan coco crème, cherring herring, pineapple, orange. The drink's ingredients sound a bit weird together, but TRUST ME it is so refreshing and has quickly become one of my most favorite creative, original cocktails ever! Their NY-style thin pizzas also don't miss. I've tried the pepperoni (red sauce, cheese blend, pepperoni, dried oregano) and Roycerroni (pizza sauce, cheese blend, cup & crisp pepperonis, calabrian chiles, honey, ricotta, basil). Chef's kiss! Absolutely love The Starving Artist, and it has quickly become one of my favorite places to drink in Phoenix. During weekday evenings it's pretty chill, but on weekends, it gets pretty packed and lively. Bonus points that they have all of their menus uploaded conveniently on their website, which you don't see often with cocktail lounges! https://www.starvingartistaz.com/

The pesto ice cream honestly was lije pistachio ice cream. It worked amazing and so refreshing. Underneath was a lemon ice thing that was exquisite and very palate refreshing. It tasted tart and like lemons. Not crunch. Soft ice. One thing though. The drinks weren't bad price. Average for tha area. The only thing is the bar tender made all of our drinks very strong. Most people think that's a good thing but honestly all I could taste was booze. I ordered a whisky sprite (7and7 spoof) and wow I could only taste whiskey. Every sip was booze booze and more booze. For the cocktails I wasn't able to taste any of the ingredients since it was so strong on the alcohol. Definitely moneys worth I guess lol. The bartender though was very nice and knowledgeable about all the drinks. Could explain all the drinks and the different types of alcohol. Not bad. Definitely would come back. Super cute for date night or a small gathering night out since space wise isn't huge.

Excellent service, a Christmas tree upstairs, and no reservations required. Glad they were able to seat us considering we showed up without reservations. Downstairs gets quickly reserved so seats upstairs are where they push overflow patrons. Right outside Flint's doors downstairs there is a staircase which opens up to the upstairs dining area. Service was prompt, and we got our drinks by the time we had our mains decided. I got a glass of red to pair with my steak. My partner had a refreshing cocktail, but it was decent. The highlights of the night were the food. SO MUCH FOOD! And it was TERRIFIC! For starters we got the artichoke hummus. It sounded a bit weird, but all it was was regular hummus with 4 artichoke hearts that were crispy. The artichoke hearts were crisp, but moist, and I could have kept eating those all day. It comes with 1 pita bread. The server told us to order another and we did, turns out we needed it as the pita breads were quite small ($3 +). Sure only 3 bucks, but nickel and dime if you are spending $14 on an app... For mains I got the filet medium rare with a side of regular potatoes. My partner got the salmon skewer with a side of asparagus. Both the dishes were cooked perfectly and they were familiar dishes with a slightly exotic touch to it. Must be the middle eastern part of the restaurant. The steak came with a ganache or accompaniments of middle eastern sides. Can't recall what they were but they were great when I dipped my potatoes in them. It was sour, tart, acidic, kind of like middle eastern soy sauce. The server recommended it to us and we got it. The salmon skewer came with 5 decent sized pieces on it. Great for a small eater or someone who doesn't want their own meal. It too was delicious and had light touches of sauce or smoke on it. The asparagus is a favorite. It was cooked as usual, typical steak side and both me and my partner enjoyed it! For dessert, as it was my partners birthday the server comped the pound cake. While it was delicious, it was definitely the letdown of the meal. It was way too sweet including the layer of cream that it was doused with. The sweat cream wasn't necessary as the pound cake was incredibly sweet itself. Also, the pound cake wasn't soft like normal cake. It was quite dry once you peeled away the creme layer up top. I definitely should have gone with the Chocolate Ganache Tart. But their mess up worked in their favor. I'm definitely coming back for another meal at Flint!
