Went with a friend last night for dinner - the reviews don't lie! It's next to the Dollar General so my friend hadn't noticed it before. Everyone was very friendly. I had a grilled veggie burrito and she had two tacos (fish and carnitas). She really liked her tacos, they were filled up and messy the way they're supposed to be. The grilled veggie burrito was also delicious. There was a little heat from the peppers and it was great sized. Totally will come back to check out one of the other menu options! read more

I have quickly fallen for this wonderful local eatery. Their location may be small but their food and the staff have big personality. I love - love the sweet potato veggie burrito and my husband says the California steak burrito is a must try. The guacamole is fresh, add some to your order! This was a great little find of a restaurant! The tacos and tostada were all very delicious! We love the authentic style and the chicken steak and chorizo to all be flavorful. My husband found the chorizo to taste homemade and unique. We also had churros that we ordered with our meal, but they said they would make them for us when we were ready to have them hot, they were also delicious! The staff was also great! I'm from Chicago and we have excellent Mexican food, so maybe I'm spoiled but I thought the food here was really not very good. At all. I had a shrimp taco which was okay, but by the time I took my tray to my table to eat it all the liquid from the toppings made the tortilla fall apart. I also got a tamale which looked and tasted like it was frozen then warmed a little too long in the microwave- basically inedible. I got chips and guac, and it was about 20 chips and a 2 Oz container of guac with zero salt, zero lime, zero garlic. The refried beans tasted sour - like they was sour cream mixed in. Ordered the steak taco and California burrito with a side of rice and guacamole. Rice and guacamole were good although I was greatly disappointed by the steak as it was more of a chuck than a flank or skirt steak. California burrito had way too many fries and very little meat but the flavor was good. Steak taco was disappointing because the meat wasn't moist and kind of dry. I'll probably try this place again but with a different protein next time. One thing that was also different was the horchata, which had a melon flavor to it. It was interesting, but I'm not a fan because I personally hate melon. Much prefer the traditional version of horchata. read more

Came in on April 25th with my husband.  I got the chicken enchilada dinner and he got the spicy pork taco dinner.  My husband, in all his smartness, asked for the American taco toppings but then didnt ask for the vegetables to be removed.  The lady who took his order was none too pleased that he wanted the lettuce and tomato off but she did it anyway which was super appreciated.  I wanted to say thank you for that in my review.  Yes, we know you asked, yes it was his mistake and you didnt have to fix it.  But you did and that's what makes this place great.  Will be back soon and next time I'll make him be smarter.  Thanks for awesomeness. read more

This place is legit. I had heard so many great things about this place, but decided to finally try it out for myself and I was not disappointed. First of all, the service was wonderful, the lady taking orders and delivering them was so sweet, even when I obnoxiously couldn't make up my mind when ordering. Ha! The other thing that stood out to us was that you don't feel like crud when you leave. The food is so fresh, well prepared, and not much grease at all! Honestly, I didn't even see any! I had 2 steak tacos American style, and 1 chicken taco, it was wonderful. The steak was seasoned well, and the chicken was too! My fiancé had a beef burrito, and he absolutely loved it! The salsa was wonderful as well, it's my new favorite salsa in town. I will def get it to go in the future! Was just in town visiting family, who recommend the shrimp tacos, (i love shrimp) so I had to try them! i choose hard tacos and YUUMM! So Good! We went back a few days later and I tried the steak torta, which was also really good! The 3rd time we tried the spicy pork and al pastor tacos (on corn tortilla) and those were good! As a SoCal native I give this lil Michigan town taqueria a big thumbs up! (Keep up the good work/food!) Just demolished a breakfast burrito and some Mexican corn from Arriba, sorry there was no time or thought for photos. I also tried one of their fish tacos, and it was perfect. Everything was mouthwatering and exactly what I needed today. I've also previously enjoyed their taco sampler with all my favorites: birria, chicken tinga, carnitas, guisado, and steak. Their online ordering is a breeze, and I'm so glad I can save all my info for speedy ordering. I frequently drop by for chips & salsa, guac, and pico to go with my home-cooked meals. Every time I order food, I lament the fact that I can't eat everything on the menu. So glad they're right around the corner I've been coming to this place since they first opened. I do miss the weekend breakfast/brunch buffet they used to have, but service has always been exceptional, and it's been nice to see how the business has grown and changed over the years. They have the best green hominy soup. I'll order that in any weather. The beef Carne asada tacos are the best ones, in my personal opinion. All the chicken tacos I've had there has been dry. 4 star because I've had better quality tacos elsewhere but I'll still eat here and order my favs. They also have a fridge with sides u can buy which is a great and their pickled Jalapeños are on another level, they are so good.
