We stopped here after a recent MU game because we really miss visiting the Jefferson City location - it was always a family favorite when I was growing up there and later when I would bring my own kids home to visit the grandparents. Today, we had a wonderful server, Deb, who did a terrific job of taking care of us without getting in the way. After her encouragement, we branched out with a new pizza selection and I must say, we might have a new favorite! We tried the Venus pizza which was so simple, yet so tasty. It had gyro meat, tomatoes and onion. I was afraid it wouldn't have enough flavor, but Deb convinced us to give it a try and we were so glad that she did. We've spent some time trying to figure out if it's the crust, the mushrooms, the sauce or they way they cut it into little squares that makes their pizza so addicting, but whatever the reason, we can't resist it! We are anxiously waiting for the new location to open in Lenexa, KS and we will be able to get our fix that much easier:) read more

Newcastle brown ale on tap - 22 oz for $5.50. Appetizer of Pita triangles (2 kinds) with tzatziki sauce and terosalata (feta cheese dip spiced with pepper and olive oil). Had not had the terosalata before - it was good. Enjoyed the whole appetizer. Offered a similar appetizer with Hummus - for next time. Gyros and seasoned fries. Extra cost for fries (1.90) but 5.99 for a full size gyro is a good deal. Standard comes with chips. Wife had Greecian Pannini - chicken, bacon, pesto, tomatoes, cheese - she said was good. Have been here twice now and still haven't tried the pizza. They have a buffet Mon - Fri 11-2 with pizza, salad and pasta for $7-8. Sounds like a good deal I will have to try. Service was excellent. Waitress attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Food arrived timely and hot. Debated between a 3 or a 4 rating. For what they are trying to do and be, they are right on target. There was nothing not to like. Tried the lunch buffet, Good deal for the money. Decent enough salad bar plus pasta, soups, pizza. Pizza is typical Greek style pizza. Thin crust, lots of cheese. Greek food, that does pizza, with a very solid menu. Best pizza in Columbia, lots of great toppings and specialty pizza's to choose from! Wait staff is always friendly and attentive. Very casual. Fun to go watch sports and enjoy all you can eat and drink pizza buffet and beer on big game nights. Pizza buffet lunch is always fresh and hot. Restaurant and bathrooms are very clean. You are greeted by nice hostesses and the waitress are very kind and on the ball. The Caesar salad has a great dressing however I'd like more of it. I had the George's pizza and I have to say it was amazing, fluffy crust, great flavor. I recommend giving Arris Pizza a shot. read more

Called Ahead for take out. Buffalo wings and a Gyro with fries. The wings were decent but I was disappointed with the gyro. Two paper thin slices of tomato and maybe three paper thin slices of red onion. There was actually a ton of gyro meat. So much in fact that they could of taken half the meat back and replaced it with more onions and tomatoes and I would of been happier. Maybe they think everyone wants tons of meat more than the other stuff, but to me, the other ingredients are what makes a gyro a gyro. At least I had a big cup of tatziki(?) sauce. The bleu cheese with the wings was pretty good. I wasn't upset because I only spent a $20 on this but I wasn't super excited about the food. Oh yeah, they should at least put a minimal amount of salt on their fries right when they take them out. I know some people don't like a lot of salt but at least season them a little. read more

Okay first off, they sat us down (me and my boyfriend) and they told us to wait for about 15 minutes and then continued to sit people who got there after us. Then a waiter finally sat us down at a table,he told us "just hold on I'll find u a booth so You guys won't sit near the cold" yet we sat there the whole time with the door swinging open letting cold air hit us. When our pizza got there, it only took about five minutes for the pizza to get cold. I was ignored multiple times by the waiters and I know it's hard to be a waiter/waitress because I worked as one twice and I got tips that were 5-8 dollars I would never ignore a person deliberately even if I was busy. I called out for help four times from different waiters and sadly the only person who helped me got a tip (not the waiter who sat me down and served me) I felt like she deserved it more in my opinion. I don't have a problem with the food, but I was miffed when the waiter asked if I needed anything else with my gyros dinner and I requested an extra Tzatziki sauce. That will be 95 cents, he told me. We started off with an appetizer: red pepper hummus and pita bread. It was OK. The serving portions were generous but the hummus wasn't anything special. Next up was the pizza. It was a thin crust pizza, and I'm not crazy about thin crust. The ingredients were spread pretty thin. My finance thought the pizza was bland. DO NOT EAT AT ARRIS, THEY SERVE HAIR IN THEIR PIZZA, WITH NO REMORSE OR REFUNDS! IF you like hair in your pizza this is the place togo! It was our second time having pizza from Arris. It was a school night for me so like most nights I do not get to eat dinner until 930 -10pm. The hair was discovered shortly after the store closed, I had to work the next day. I avoided taking the issue up during the lunch hour, and called that evening, approximately 24hrs after the pizza was ordered. One employee claimed to be management, offered to cook another pizza for us, I declined. Offered a gift card to replace the pizza, I accepted. I went to the location to pick up gift card, another staff member that Claimed she was the manager, and who I should have spoken to, says "she will give me a $10 gift card" Claiming that it was not possible because kitchen staff did not have hair. $10 doesn't even replace the pizza that has hair in it. First guy said I did not need to bring pizza back, 2nd person says I should have brought the pizza back. I offered to return the pizza they declined. Then spoke with owner who said "had you brought the pizza back, we could do a refund" I said I'll bring pizza right now, he declined. As the owner and I ended our conversation for future reference if you need a refund bring back the pizza, again i offered to return the pizza, he declined. I WOULD NOT SPEND ANOTHER DOLLAR THERE ON THE FACT THERE IS A 50/50 CHANCE THERE WILL BE HAIR IN THE PIZZA. I declined the $10 gift card, waited to speak with owner. Who was not any more helpful, now he wants to give me a gift card for the whole pizza at this point I only want my money back. And I will go ANYWHERE ELSE OTHER THAN ARRIS. but a gift card and truthful reviews are the only thing I have left on this subject! I LOVE the non major chains of pizza places and if you like thin crust pizza, you'll defiantly want to hit up Arris Pizza sometime. The dinning is casual and food is really good. They claim to serve "Greek style" pizza.... Yeah, I don't know what means either... Pizza is pizza to me. They have a lunch buffet and they serve other foods than just pizza. You can get salad, pasta, and I think I even saw steamed broccoli one time. YUM! They serve gyros too and that must be their claim to the Greek thing.
