Each time took only a few minutes and they took me immediately. My older car has some minor issues that other mechanics have gotten hung up on (which has led to me being really nervous to go to inspections at all) but these guys didn't give me any issues. Besides, the shop has a great vibe and has a bunch of funny posters to cheer you up. If the older car has any issues that need work (I'm certain it will) I'd be happy to take it here. Only thing to be aware of is that they ask for cash for under 25$.

I was having a steering problem and an electrical problem with my GMC '97 1500 truck, took it by…read morethem, asked them to inspect it, find out what the issues were, and fix it. My electrical problems consisted of gradual battery discharge, and not enough voltage going to the the car, causing startup to fail. I thought it was a bad alternator since I'd just installed a new battery. After dropping my truck off, they took a look at it, and called me back promptly to inform me the problem was due to a bad battery, and told me my idler arm hadn't been tightened properly resulting in loose steering. Jim told me what was wrong, explained the other issues I'd had, tightened the idler arm, and gave me advice regarding my battery, allowing me to save far more money than I'd expected. Fox Automotive is an excellent auto shop. They provide excellent customer service, inform their customers as to what is wrong with a vehicle and why, don't price gouge their clients, and are reliable. I'm definitely going to them for inspections and repairs I can't do myself.

My car was actually finished a few hours earlier than expected, which I appreciated. However, I was told I couldn't pick it up until 5:45 because that's when the owner would be available. That was frustrating, especially given the circumstances. I had to have a starting device installed due to a legal situation that was handled improperly, so I was already stressed about having to spend this money in the first place. David was very understanding about that, and I truly appreciated his professionalism. Unfortunately, my interaction with the owner was not pleasant. When I spoke with him on the phone, he told me I needed to hurry because he had to "go over things" with me and would be leaving for a few hours. I explained that I didn't need assistance using the device -- I simply needed to pay and pick up my vehicle. When I arrived, he was short and unfriendly. He repeatedly asked if I knew how to use the device, even after I assured him multiple times that I was fine. He then said, "Well, I don't think you'll be able to do it," which felt unnecessary and dismissive. He handed me paperwork to sign with little to no explanation, didn't return my key until I asked for it, and overall made the experience uncomfortable. I walked to my car and started it without any issue. It's disappointing because David provided excellent customer service, and good auto service can be hard to find. However, my interaction with the owner would make me hesitant to return, aside from the required monthly appointments for the device. I hope the owner considers improving customer communication and professionalism, as it would make a big difference in the overall customer experience.
