Amazing service with beautiful wine choices. Staff was very knowledgeable about every glass of wine. Highly recommend the tasting menu!

THE BIG: Old world centric wines from Alexander Vineyards right along the 290 strip of wineries. Plenty of parking and a relatively small tasting room. They have a small pond outside that isn't noticeable coming in but when you're in the tasting room, it makes the outside so aesthetic. THE BLACK AND WHITE: We came here at 2pm on a Saturday and it was packed! Granted we rolled in right after a bachelorette party. The staff was great and handled everyone like a pro. We sat down a few minutes afterwards with no problem. There were two options: curated and premium. The premium wines looked amazing however, the tasting was $60. The premium had more burgundy wines and included some 1er cru vineyards. The curated had more bordeaux wines, which were still amazing. Both options concluded with a nice, honey sauterne. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall a flight of the curated wines (6 in total) came out to be $30. We will be back to taste more of these old world wines especially since they are my wife's favorites.

We were visiting from North Carolina and really wanted to stick to exploring Texas wine, but luckily this fit into our schedule last minute. I'm glad it did because we really enjoyed our time here. They have a lovely new tasting room that's super clean and sleek. The wines are old world wines and we really enjoyed exploring them with our tasting room Associate, he knew what he was talking about. We left with two bottles. 10/10 would recommend

We arrived early and we received great attention. He helped us select a nice glass of Italian and French wine. Definitely recommend.

Looks are deceiving... small personal tasting room but amazing Bordeaux, Champagne, Rieslings and Spanish Tempranillos. Super personable hosts. Dana was a great teacher! Joined the wine club, we'll be back for sure.

Windi & Claude were wonderful! Came with my girlfriends for the day and happened upon this hidden gem. Loved it so much that I signed up for the wine club. Their vast selection of old world wines were a very refreshing change from the Texas wine vineyards surrounding it. Looking forward to my next visit.

5 stars, 5 star, 5 stars!!! Not gonna lie , we were kinda skeptical bc the outside impression does not do justice for it. Initially what attracted me was the sign that says "our tasting room may suck but our wine is great ". I couldn't be happier that we stopped!! The owner is super nice and his wine steward Dayna is the bomb dignity! She was so knowledgeable in all the wine they import . In addition I had a great side conversation with her about life in general and she is just a gem! We s been coming to the town for about 2 years and stopping at all the same places ...this one just added to our list of permanent stops. They are just so welcoming and the tasting room is so quaint . Absolute must do while in town .

    Amazing bubbles and charcuterie

Alexander Vineyards is a must visit while you are in Fredericksburg! My friend and I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon about an hour before close and left with a customized tasting from the owner. I can't say how great our experience was, the wine was excellent and the charcuterie board we had was great. The wine menu is curated by the owner from various regions of Italy, France, and Germany and is outstanding. They are also completing construction of a beautiful tasting room this fall, can't wait to go back and see it!

The place is nice but If you prefer reds, this is not your place. It took forever just to do a tasting. Service was extremely slow.

Vibe is euro-bistro and the staff is perfectly attentive. Prices are high, but honestly aligned to the quality of the food, at least the dishes we had were worth the prices. Food: Buttermilk Fried Chicken, with Onion/Bacon flash fried collard greens, whipped potatoes and house gravy and Jalapeno Cornbread for $32 Reuben on Marble Rye for $24 16oz Stella Artois for $10 We agreed that the fried chicken (5/5) was the best we could remember having. Whipped potatoes (5/5) were light, fluffy and perfect taste/texture. The gravy was like brown butter (5/5). The collard greens (5/5) were flash fried and if you've never had them like this, it's like eating collard green potato chips. Cornbread (3/4) was a bit too delicate and sweet for our taste. You couldn't pick it up without it falling apart. The Ruben (3/5). My wife loves a good Ruben sandwich. This one had the makings of a good one, but they use a Thousand Island sauce (too much of it) on the sandwich, and it hides the flavor of the meat. Next time we would ask for the sandwich without the TI sauce, see if that improves the rating. The sandwich came with house made potato chips (5/5), a small house salad with vinaigrette (5/5) and a large, pickled cucumber. I know, that's a pickle, but these are cucumbers that have gone maybe a third of the way through the process, so the cucumber taste is really prevalent. Lastly, we had the Creme Brulé (3/5) for dessert. It was nice, but the custard was coffee and caramel flavored, and we prefer the standard custard look and flavor. The caramel should come from the top layer, not the custard. The top layer was a bit too thick as well. We liked it, just didn't love it. Overall, quality food, service and vibe with prices that are aligned to more special occasions than everyday eating out. We'll be back to try the Monday Crawfish Etoufee and the Tuesday Duck Confit daily specials...look too good to pass up.

After finding a couple of places closed, we called Barons Creekside. Best thing we ever did! We spoke to Lasca, who was actually out with her family for dinner Despite this, she got us set up in the cutest farmhouse, gave us directions and instructions to get in, and after her dinner was over, she stopped by to check if we needed anything. The excellent service did did not stop there. We were treated like family, and we really enjoyed walking the beautiful, scenic grounds and hanging out at "The Club" on property! I understand that the cabins are old, and authentic but it would help a little. I would also recommend a little better dusting, around window sills, and windows/curtains, a fair amount of dust that came off, every time we closed the blinds or pulled the curtains. That is the only reason I rated it a 4 instead of 5.

We shared a few bottles of rosé and spent way longer than we planned because the atmosphere was just so inviting. The wine bar is set inside a beautifully restored historic home, with several cozy rooms that make it feel like you're relaxing in someone's stylish living room rather than a typical wine bar. It has such a warm, welcoming vibe. We loved that they also have a piano bar with live music in the evenings, it would be such a fun place to spend an evening! The two stars is NOT for the piano player Pierson Keating, who is great, for whom I would give 5 Stars. For clarification I have had a total of 3 glasses of wine since noon and it's currently 7 o'clock and I am writing this review as I am leaving. I have a strong understanding of TABC rules and regulations, and this question was misplaced and pretty rude. Pierson, the pianist, asked my group to sing a song we requested because he was unsure of the lyrics, then the staff asked the group to sit down. Not sure if this place is catered to the older crowd or just not accustomed to having girls who like to have a good time, but I wouldn't come back here if you payed me. Staff 2.7/10. Food 6.7/10.
