I was greeted as soon as I walked into the office they made it a point to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. I made the same day appointment for migraine iv therapy and I am so glad I did. They offer a variety of wellness and self care services. Check them out you will not be disappointed.

I am a healthcare professional myself, career critical care/Emergency nurse who suddenly found myself in need of treatment for anxiety, depression and PTSD for the cumulative effects of burnout and management bullying and workplace toxicity. After 20+ years of caring for others I found myself on the other side which was difficult to process on so many levels. I knew I was really suffering and struggling but didn't know how to ask for help. I fully credit Antony, Mary and his staff for the bright and new direction of my life today. They have gone out of their way to accommodate my young adult son who lives out of state with a series of customized treatments with remarkable results. Everyone there is kind and considerate. I met Vaughn and Dr. Hogan on my first visit and was impressed that they showed an actual interest in my pain. I am always seen in a timely manner, which I find refreshing. Dr. Hogan has performed 3 procedures total on my lower back and cervical spine and I am happy to say I am seeing wonderful results. I am not yet pain free but the pain has been greatly reduced. I have never had problems making appointments and I am pleased when I get call backs asking how I feel after each procedure. I feel this group really cares! I had elected that each procedure be done without sedation and I must say there was no pain during the procedures. That right there wins my vote with this group! Thank You Dr. Hogan!!!! :-D

After a couple of months, they handed me off to a guy who was not far removed from school. He comes in and tells me that he is going to take me off of pain killers. Hmm, after being on Percocet for over 10 years, he reduced me to Vicodin and was going to ween me off completely. The big problem with that is that I needed those stronger pills. He offered NO solution, No substitute! Since that time I've had 2 more fusions and the botched first surgery still alters my life. Thank God that when I moved to Kingman (most specialist are horrible there), I found a great pain doctor. I would love to have the Intracept Ablation, which would probably end my 16 year chronic pain issue, but no one wants to take the metal out of my lower back to solve my problem. Anyway, I am back in Phoenix and I would travel back up to Kingman before using Arizona Pain. I understand the bureaucrats are squeezing doctors on giving out opiates, but when they take it away from someone who needs it and tried all the other options other than the ablation, meanwhile a woman walked out with me and called people from the front of their building asking people how many pain pills they wanted to buy from her really pissed me off.

I saw my primary care physician who referred me to physical therapy. The physical therapist diagnosed me with a sciatic centralization injury. My pain went bilaterally down both of my hamstrings. In addition to the pain, I was experiencing numbness that resonated from my right glute down to the hamstring / mid-thigh. After 14 sessions of physical therapy, the pain in my hamstrings went away completely. The numbness, however, has remained a constant over the course of the last four months. I've been to physical therapy, two different chiropractors, an acupuncturist and a spinal specialist. All of them told me the numbness would go away on its own. Go back to your normal life, stop being dramatic and let the nerve entrapment go away on its own. After thousands of dollars in out of pocket costs and lots of frustration, I did a Google search for trigger point and neuro muscular therapeutic massage. And that's how I found Mya at Unwynd Restorative Massage. SOLD! I set-up an appt. on her self-explanatory website and waited patiently for the day I got to have some much needed treatment to this stupid nagging injury. And that day was today, friends! Unwynd Restorative Massage is conveniently located in Peoria right on 75th Ave smack in between Bell Rd. and Thunderbird Blvd. They're situated in a fair sized medical / business complex. There is plenty of ample parking. You're looking for "15262" on the outside of the building they're located in and you're going into the Building 400 front door. Suite 108 is located at the end of the hallway where your healing begins! Mya listened to me intently which is more than I can say for most of the other jokers who saw me She knew precisely the area that needed attention and she explained exactly how she was going to proceed. She was relentless in her pursuit to assist me and getting me back to feeling 100%. It was soooo nice to have a medical professional actually get her hands at the source of my injury and begin treating it, accordingly. It was miraculous to feel the increased blood flow to my hamstring and also it felt great to have her manipulate the tissue surrounding the nerve. Her vast amount of knowledge and the way in which she made me feel so comfortable was incredibly appreciative. We chatted like old friends and she never once stopped trying to help me with this injury. While the numbness did not subside after just one treatment as I suspected it would not have - I am confident I'm closer to getting back to 100% with Mya's assistance!! I canno thank her enough for her time, her knowledge and the willingness to assist me. No one else I saw gave me the time of day. Unwynd Restorative Massage proved it is possible to be a knowledgeable medical professional while going above and beyond to assist their patients. Thank you, Mya!!

I understand that they have questions they need to ask as per their job and state/federal regulations on pain managment, however, Dr. Glenn sounded VERY accusatory from the git go. And i get it to some degree, I CHOSE to be on a medication that's typically given to people struggling with dependency/addiction, but id hope a doctor would be able to set their preconceived notions aside to effectively and correctly do their job and thats not why im on this particular med, im on it cuz It works better than traditional opiods and my prior pain managment doctor boasted about how its safer and id agree. But from the moment he saw my charts, things were off. I didn't realize right away that he didn't have ALL of my records, so when I was begrudgingly asked if I used recreational drugs, I said no, thinking that my open Marijuana usage was listed and he could see it, Dr. Glenn clapped back with "you've never done recreational drugs" (as if I was lying) I responded with "I mean as an adult, no. As a teen yeah, what teen doesn't" and Dr. Glenn asks what i tried as a teen (my last teen year was 13 years ago mind you) I gave him the information he was asking for. We move on to him asking if I'd ever received surgery for the things im complaining of, answer was no. Then I get told "well if I had been told I have significant narrowing of the hip space joints, I'd have gone and got surgery" i interrupted at that point and said "today's march 11th, I wasn't told about the hip space issues until february 25th... there hasn't been enough time to figure things out". Which i would assume, if he had access to that specific record, he likely had access to see when imagining was actually taken, but maybe im wrong. He asks me to take UA as normal for pain management and told me he wasn't gonna have me sign a pain managment contract "in case things didn't work out"... fast forward to march 25th, my next appointment with him (he wanted to see me when I was supposed to have a refill of meds) I drive the hour from my house to the facility (which Dr. Glenn was made aware in march 11th appointment that I lived an hour away) once i make it inside im told that they cant complete the appointment because they dont have my records. To which they send another request and ask me to reach out to my pcp, which I do before leaving the parking lot on the 25th. 26th I hear from my PCP that records were already sent, 27th I call az pain treatment to set up a new appointment, while on the phone with the receptionist, i explain that the doctor canceled my 3/25 appointment because he "didnt have all my records", to which the receptionist informs me "i must have misunderstood because they have all my records from what she can tell", i explained thats verbatim what the lady at the front desk said, my husband was standing right there when it was said, definitely not a misunderstanding" and she said "hmm thats weird, you chdck all our boxes for setting up an appointment so we will go ahead and set one up for you". The appointment was set for March 31st. The 31st rolls around and I at least got a phone call this time, telling me not to drive the hour away, because "Dr. Glenn thinks you're not fit for our practice, and that you need to go to orthopedic surgery" Being that my pcm used to be a pain managment doctor, they found that odd as they were trained to avoid surgery unless absolutely necessary, especially for someone in my age group. That being said, I feel more so that this doctor thought I had other issues, and wrote me off from the git go and if that's not the case, then his bedside manner is seriously lacking. Even if I had a drug dependency/addiction issue, being accusatory isn't actually helpful. But aside from that, ive been in therapy over 10 years and continue to go because of the addiction that runs heavily in my family, I wanted to make sure to never be like my parents and ive done a really good job at that, and I'll be damned if I get accused of anything im not doing let alone something ive actively worked towards avoiding my entire existence. Needless to say, im thankful it didn't work out and that I didn't sign a pain managment contract with Dr. Glenn. I do wish I had been given the opportunity to see Dr. Nasser, I hear he's nice and who I thought I was seeing until I spoke with my PCP again today. My complete history was documented and the physical was thorough. My experiences elsewhere were full of expectations that devices would be implanted as I was handed brochures to read up about them so that when the sales pitch came, I was somewhat knowledgeable about what they had planned for my treatment. Although I had been diagnosed with Neuropathy, I wasn't diabetic. They only assumed how they would treat my pain without an exam and just using the BUZZWORDS, my cure was in the brochure (which included surgery, physical therapy and THOUSANDS of dollars). The entire office staff were kind, courteous and pleasant to work with.
