My first impression of this place was warm welcomed and genuine and they are not out to just hike up the price as a lot of shops do sadly to get as much money as they can from insurance claims rather then accepting truly both insurance and out the pocket. Short story, another driver turned into my car at a red light last minute without looking and hit my car. Nothing crazy but definitely noticeable on the front bumper. I agreed to get 3 estimates from 3 different place 1 place I have been to before and 2 others I never been before. I met Jeremiah and he was up front with a lot of information and just being real with me genially and I always appreciate that rather than adding unnecessary things to just make the prices higher as if they were trying to get as much as possible as a lot of places do with insurance companies. In my opinion the prices were fair and realistic and they will work with insurance and paying out the pocket customers. The turn around time of completion was very convenient for me but not expected. I rather always have the job done right of course first. The bumper was fixed perfectly and within a very good turnaround time so I did not need a rental or loaner car thankfully. The work was done very professionally and they were very nice and talkative with legit information on explaining everything with me. The communication was very open and made the whole experience easy and headache free. They have a lifetime warranty that backs their work for anything that worked on and fixed themselves. Also washed my car when my it was finished and ready for pick up. i believe on their website it shows any repairs etc. over $1000 a car wash will be included as well. I personally, had a great experience with my 1st time with Jeremiah and all of his team. I would highly recommend to at least meet Jeremiah and his team for an estimate and feel them out yourself. My wife was in a car accident in June 2020. She was rear ended by cargo truck. Damage as seen in the first picture below. When I took the car to J&R, they said that they were able to do the repair and matching colors of parts to the car is Juan's specialty. The repair was done at a reasonable time considering Covid and supply chain issues in California and America in general. And Laura was great in communicating and updating us on the repair. Not only did my left rear passenger door and wheel frame look brand new, but he also buffed out scratches along the entire side of the car -- including several deep ones on the left rear bumper -- at no extra charge. When I first brought the car in, he asked if I wanted the bumper repaired, but he must have sensed I couldn't afford it; he went ahead and fixed it for free. Most shops would never consider offering such kindness without charging. The turnaround was relatively quick, and the professionalism, customer service, and generosity were truly outstanding. Beware: Dishonest Pricing and Unreliable Service…read more I came to TYC to get both my front axles replaced. I asked for a quote and was told $390 for labor (for both axles), plus the cost of parts. I also informed the owner that a dealership had diagnosed bad subframe bushings and recommended replacing the entire suspension subframe. He told me that wasn't necessary and said he would call me later with the price for the parts. Later that day, I looked up the parts myself--Duralast Gold axles from AutoZone with a lifetime warranty, $179 each. So the total cost I expected: $179 x 2 + $390 labor = $748 Then the owner called me and said the aftermarket (non-OEM) parts would be $289 each, bringing the total to a whopping $968. Keep in mind: this is still for aftermarket parts, not OEM. I told him I'd bring my own parts instead. He AGREED to install them for $390 in labor. I dropped my car off and left it overnight. The next day, he called me claiming the passenger side axle was the wrong part. He told me if I brought the correct part, he'd install it for free. I still paid the full $390 for just the one axle replacement. Here's the kicker: I took the "wrong" part back to AutoZone. They double-checked the part number, make, model, and confirmed it was the correct part ‍. I'm not some clueless car owner--I'm an X-ray engineer. I research for a living. A couple days later, I returned to TYC with the same "correct" part. This time, the mechanic refused to install it, saying the bearing was the wrong size and insisted I had to buy an axle from the dealer. Why should I pay for dealer parts at an independent shop? If I wanted to throw money away, I would've gone to the dealership in the first place. The whole point of going to a non-dealer shop is to save money. I returned the axle to AutoZone and got a refund. By this point, I'd wasted a ton of time, gas, and energy--and I never got the second axle replaced. In short: * Dishonest and inconsistent pricing * Poor communication * Refused to honor their word * Wasted my time and money I won't be returning, and I strongly recommend you take your business elsewhere
