This is a late post. We were referred to J & R Autobody by our mechanic at Takeda Enterprise. We are so grateful for the referral because our insurance referrals were not very good. My wife was in a car accident in June 2020. She was rear ended by cargo truck. Damage as seen in the first picture below. When I took the car to J&R, they said that they were able to do the repair and matching colors of parts to the car is Juan's specialty. The repair was done at a reasonable time considering Covid and supply chain issues in California and America in general. And Laura was great in communicating and updating us on the repair. The second picture below is post-repair. I highly recommend J&R. Great service, great communication, and great repair. I will come back for any future auto body repairs. I have always heard how Corvettes and fiberglass can be difficult to paint. This has stayed on my mind as I have been restoring a 1981 Corvette for the last three years. I had Juan and the guys at J&R do some prior work for me which was an amazing job. So I talked with him about the Corvette and he was very comfortable with his advice and the challenge. He gave me an accurate idea of how long it will take, explained his process it made me feel very comfortable with my decision. Fantastic body shop My car got keyed and the scratches went through the paint. They offered a great price and a week to get it done. They dealt with my insurance giving them a hard time and communicated everything well with me to keep me updated. When i came to pick up my car it was cleaner than it had been since i took it off the lot! Looks like the scratches never happened and i couldn't be happier at the work. My car needed some body work. I met someone at a church parking lot. For some time I saw his car with a similar damage parked in the lot, then one day I saw the same car parked and it looked like nothing had happened. I decided to approach the owner after church. My wife and I took our car to J & R Auto Body and the wonderful staff of Laura, Juan and Rosie have made it a very pleasant experience for us since day 1. Laura explained to us the logistics and gave periodic updates on the repair progress , Rosie offered us a ride home, and Juan meticulously explained to us what was damaged inside out and what needed to be done, and the cost of labor and materials . I've come here in the past for my auto body needs. The owner, Juan, is a good guy. He's a Navy vet, like me, and takes pride in his work. He co-owns the place along with his wife, Josie. They are located on the same shopping plaza where my car wash is located, toward the rear. They are good with timing here, as they're often early with getting work done. The sole downside to this place is that they are cash only, but I'll let that pass due to the quality of their work. They are honest, never trying to up sell me. I got into an accident and was doubtful finding a new body shop with my bad previous experiences. I met Rosie at J&R Auto Body that said she could repair my car 100% and make it look like nothing ever happened. She also said she could take care of both fender panels, the door, and the door handle all in 4 days. She kept her word and sure enough when I picked up my car it was as good as new! This is a family run business that takes pride in its work. I have known Juan and Rosie for many years and have always taken our work to them. Before I met them, I use to let the insurance company advise me where to have my auto body work done. These were supposedly top rated places that the dealers used for their work on their cars. After experiencing several problems with work, poor paint jobs, ill fitting body parts, my wife suggested an auto body customer who banked at her bank. This is how we met Juan and Rosie. Juan is an extremely conscientious worker who takes great pride in his work. You can see his project cars and know he is about doing a job right the first time. J & R Body Shop is my 1st choice if I need my car body work done. My first experience with Rosie was a great one. I had a wing put on my 2011 Optima and just recently I had the lower grill assembly replaced cause of a cracked frame and the grill was separated and falling off. They do excellent work and very timely too. I sent my husband there when he had an accident and he was also very pleased with J & R's service. If you are looking for an honest, hard working, and passionate about your paint and bodywork, look no further. Juan (the owner) took my 1970 Chevy Monte Carlo and prepared and painted my car masterfully. This classic had been stored in my garage for almost 15 years. I simply could not find the time or the shop who could do the job I wanted. I had not found the shop I felt I could trust, until I found J&R. He advised on a two-tone gray which I was skeptical of doing but am so glad I went with. It was painted, color sanded and all chromes re-installed beautifully and with loving care. He painted a red pinstripe to separate the two tones and I am overjoyed with how it came out. J&R's price was the lowest by plenty , of the 3 serious estimates I received. I saved thousands and got an overhaulin that even FOOSE would be proud of. This is the first time I write a review about anything but I just had to tell the world and give credit where credit is due. You will not regret taking your car to J&R. They have a NICE & CLEAN shop with plenty of space. No old junkers taking space. They are efficient. It only took them six weeks to complete my restoration. The other two shops said 6 to 7 months. Go check out his work for yourself. Great, honest place! I thought I parked just perfect in the IKEA parking lot when I got there, but when I was leaving, backing up the car I realized the front bumper was on the curb. When I backed up, the bumper came off loose. I was driving back home on freeway it starte making a flapping sound and started scratching my front tire. haa haa, first I took it to Scott Robinson and was told that I have to replace a whole bumper and would cost well over $2,000! I took it to J&R, the lady (sorry forgot her name) was SUPER NICE, knowledgeable and told me that the only thing I need was a clip that had come off to hold the bumper - for $60. I went back the next day to have the bumper reattached with a new clip. It was super fast, and she only charged me $50-some. HIGHLY recommended! read more

Worse body shop ever. Called and told them someone's parked car was in a crash and needed a tow to a shop ASAP. Ended up using J & R because they are connected with Kia of Carson. Hit a curb and got some pretty bad scratches on my car. Maria was very nice and she handled the situation. I got an estimate which was cheaper than Sam's auto land. Turned in car on Tuesday and got it back Friday. They were extra busy because it was the week after Thanksgiving. Anyways, I am very happy with the result. These guys are legit and generally pretty cool people. Its cash only so be prepared for that. read more
