What an absolutely stunning rooftop bar and restaurant - where the views, vibes, service and menu selections are ALL outstanding! I took the opportunity to visit during Restaurant Week, and Chef Adrian truly created a masterpiece of a tasting menu! The Wagyu forward menu was 5 courses of gastronomic masterpieces... Which ranged from Wagyu Tartare, to Oysters with wagyu wasabi oil and Wagyu ponzu jelly - and what really blew me away was the creatively with the dessert... Wagyu ice cream with Wagyu fat cookie! You have literally (very likely) never had a menu as uniquely crafted as this. I went with the Resturant Week Sake Pairing, which I felt REALLY elevated the entire experience. The service was amazing - as each course was brought out, a detailed explanation of everything for each course was provided. Which definitely helped to add the Japanese Gokan style of eating, where all of the five senses are considered while eating. I would definitely recommend visiting this beautiful rooftop bar and restaurant. The views outside are absolutely stunning; and I cannot wait to go back when it's a little warmer for the full rooftop experience.

I prefer rooftops over clubs so when Art DC opened, I was super excited to visit. My first time visiting was Valentine's Day weekend and it was a really nice vibe. We sat at the bar and got their version of an espresso martini and an old fashioned. Art DC probably has one of the best espresso martinis in DC. The ingredients seem pretty unique to them...definitely a must try. The second time I went, there was a private party going on, but they still let guests hang out on one side of the rooftop. The vibe was just as good...a little different since they had a DJ...but still good, drinks were great, and this time we decided to try the food. My friend went for the tuna rice bowl, and I got the miso salmon hand roll with a yakitori chicken skewer. They were amazinggg! The prices are pretty reasonable too in my opinion. Lastly, the service is top tier...everyone here has been very helpful during both visits. I'll definitely be back. I know this rooftop is gonna be even more amazing when the weather warms up

I went last Sunday for Cinco de Mayo. It was pretty slow, and the music wasn't very lively. There were a bunch of staff present on the floor, but not much activity. We did have a free drink ticket which was cool, and their drink prices were pretty standard for DC. Their food menu is very limited, and more so apps. My friend and I I stayed for a little over an hour before we decided to leave and go elsewhere. It is very artistic inside and spacious. The rooftop views are also great, but not what I expected based on the hype I had heard about it.

I have had the opportunity to visit Art DC during the art installation changes and always like the energy and atmosphere. I never have a problem getting to the bar area or being served by the staff (or being able to get a seat at the bar or other areas). The rooftop is stunning and expansive with plenty of seating. During events the acoustics aren't the best when someone is speaking on the microphone or presenting. I truly enjoy the space and rooftop views. The bar menu has small bites and there is a full restaurant on the lobby level of the hotel which is great (see my Yelp review about Arrels). Definitely a great spot for drinks and enjoying a beautiful DC view (and beautiful art from local artists). Paid street parking (I'm unsure if they have valet) $$

Arlo Rooftop is a stunning venue is downtown DC. I came for a 30 and up function and was amazed at how large the space is. The bar it encompassed a large portion of the space. The views on the balcony were stunning, especially at night. I had an Old Fashioned and it was very well made. The bartenders did a wonderful job getting everyone's orders taken and drinks served.

Visited for restaurant week and it was good but could've been better! For a wagyu themed menu it somehow got redundant, so we got a little bored of the menu by the end. There was no excitement to it because it was wagyu after wagyu. It was pre-made so there wasn't much flexibility to it but they did manage to accommodate my friends dietary restrictions so that was really great. My favourite was probably the miso salmon and Wagyu somen and the worst was the ' Wagyu ice cream'. The texture was really off putting, icy and tasted like - Wagyu. I also didn't like the oyster there was no brine in mine so it was just the meat and toppings in the shell. Would love to return to the rooftop though, it was dim lit and beautifully decorated. Perfect for a date and drinks were well priced !

Came for Valentine by myself and let me tell you, the food was to die for. I was serviced by Mike, and he was wonderful! i am so full right now. AND he got me to try desserts too, lorddd it was amazing IM ABOUT TO PASS OUT. They also have a Dj, great vibe and the view is amazing from the roof top. It cold at the moment but summer time with the sunset, great date night idea. your welcome

It's a basement bar with a bit of a dive vibe, but it's hard to ignore the nautical, blue crab theme throughout. Turns out that one of the owners is a Marylander, which is cool to see reflected in the decor in a place in dc, even though it is next door. They have a happy hour and they have a great variety of drinks in general. It's bring-your-own-food (BYOF) and there are a bunch of delicious looking Asian spots nearby, including upstairs. It didn't start getting crowded until closer to 10, which, as I said, is surprising for this part of town to me. Everywhere in Chinatown is not going to be packed and busy, and this place is here to remind you of that. Stop by if you're looking for a more chill vibe. Staff are pretty cool.

I visited as part of the full experience -- dinner downstairs at Birch & Barley, then up to Churchkey for drinks -- and honestly, it's one of the best evenings I've had in DC. Churchkey itself is everything a great bar should be. The beer selection is absolutely unreal -- hundreds of carefully curated labels spanning every style, region, and flavor profile you can imagine. What sets it apart is that the staff actually knows the menu. Our server walked us through a few options based on what we liked and landed us on perfect picks both times. That kind of genuine expertise is rare. The tavern pizzas from the wood-fired oven were a wonderful surprise -- thin, crispy, and the perfect companion to a cold draft. The smash burger also deserves a mention: simple, well-executed, and hits the spot. The vibe is warm and lively without being overwhelming. Great for a date, a group, or even just sitting at the bar solo with a good beer and good conversation with the bartender. This place has earned its reputation as one of the best beer bars on the East Coast -- and then some. Highly recommend making a full night of it with both floors. You won't regret it. Thank you for having that. It's a detail that many bars forget but I can relax and enjoy my stay more when I know my belongings are safely tucked away. We got the Smorgesboard and Saffron Mussels. I've paid more for less. Let me take a moment and collect myself before I talk about the Saffron Mussels. They were freaking amazing. The broth was mildly spicy, a powerful punch of salty herby flavor that paired wonderfully with the mussels. They were perfectly cooked with a tender chew. Served with fries and chunks of bread to sop up all that glorious broth. If you're thinking about getting the mussels, just do it. Truly, one of the best pot of mussels I've had. The bartender did a great job explaining the tasting notes of all the drinks and helped me choose a good one. I also sipped the Belgian sour many of my friends opted for and that's a great cocktail for just $6 during happy hour. Happy hour is tricky -- it's really a great deal making it difficult to justify paying full price for anything but the crowd here is two folds. You have a lot of young college kids mixed with an older crowd so one comes for the deals while the other comes for amazing food and cocktails -- something for everyone! Overall I would definitely come back for dinner. This place has a very lowkey casual vibe but upscale food and drinks. The atmosphere/ambiance leaves a little to be desired with not so great lighting and no background music that I can recall but still a nice spot to pop in.

They have slowly made changes over the years that make this an absolute must visit. What hasn't changed: the outdoor vibes and string lights are as pleasant as ever, and without the crushing crowds and lines that typified this location in their early years, it is a much nicer vibe most days. In my first review, I complained that the menu was very light on German beer options. They offer far more now, including a beer that I do not believe you can regularly find at any other bar in the city: the Weihenstephaner Korbinian, the world's finest doppelbock. It is one of the most delicious beers I have ever had, and they have it here on tap for a very reasonable price. Another positive change: they have a kitchen now with a full menu of food options. Their giant pretzel is a classic, of course. If you're a weekend happy hour chaser, they sell $5 High Noons all day Sunday. One final note: the location is absolutely perfect. Baan Mae has opened next door to the north (a 5/5 dining experience, amazing Thai food), Ugly Duckling is across the street to the south (a 5/5 happy hour and cocktail experience), and Ivy & Coney is right across the street to the east (a DC icon and 5/5 dive bar and football spot), so Dacha is essentially the centerpiece of the perfect night (or whole day) out.
