They changed owners…read more It used to be simple. $50 for a cleaning. Now they "diagnose" you and say that they will only perform a deep cleaning. Without insurance it was coming out to $1000. I've sent so many people to city dental. Everyone always thanked me for a referral. The reason why we were so loyal was because the owner was reasonable. Now it just feels like a shiesty operation. Good luck to the new owners. Update: i got my deep cleaning done for $185 at another practice. Saved $800 by going to a reputable dentist that has been practicing for 30 years.

My decades of having chompers have been fraught with stress and drama. I'm unfortunate to have inherited my mother's dental problems, and along with it multiple cavities, root canals, and other forms of medieval torture. This had led to an all too common dread whenever dental visits came due, even for routine care. This has now changed thanks to Dr. Perez and his wonderful team. My dental hygienist Gloria has the hands of an angel and the most delicate touch ever. My anxiety the first visit could be felt a mile away. I dare say I felt almost relaxed my most recent visit. I had a crown done with my last dentist (and a root canal with her referred endodontist). This led to months upon months of pain far worse than the pain I had before the root canal. I had to go to a different local dentist to fix the problem, but it took months to get an appointment. Expectedly last month I had dread when I was told I needed another crown. I wasn't in pain, but my previous dentist had done such a deep filling that I knew the tooth wasn't going to last forever. They advised a crown before the tooth cracks unexpectedly. I just had it finished yesterday and my mouth feels 100% normal. Dr. Perez was extraordinarily patient making sure to get the fit and bite just right. An elderly widow came in for her cleaning appointment with her hygienist. The doctor reviewed her file and said she could not be worked on because her medical history and medications she was on had not been updated. This woman is on a walker with no one to help her, she lost her husband three years earlier. She was alone!! After she was informed that they couldn't work on her she asked could an Uber be called for her. The Dental hygienist that was going to work on her now had free time because her appointment was an hour appointment, now she had a little time to help her. This elder lady walked with a walker!! The hygienist decided I will TAKE HER HOME MYSELF!! The hygienist helped her out with her walker, put her in her car and drove her home! That is truly going above and beyond, showing empathy and caring for the people you serve and work on!! This woman should receive the equivalent of the purple star from her employer. Additionally, several claims were submitted using incorrect procedure codes, which resulted in denials. These issues were not corrected or resubmitted by the office. I prepaid for services and have paid over $5,000 out of pocket. I have also confirmed the office received and cashed insurance payments, yet they continue to state I have a balance. Based on the payments made and proper application of insurance adjustments, my account should reflect an overpayment. Instead, they have not reconciled the account and have not issued a refund. At this point, it appears they are attempting to collect payment from both me and my insurance for the same services, which raises serious concerns about double billing. I was also told that billing my insurance was being done as a "courtesy" and that I would need to handle denials myself, which does not align with expectations for an in-network provider. I have made multiple attempts via email and phone to resolve this directly, including requesting a call with the doctor.
