We booked art on the run for a wedding party and our whole group loved it - now we have memories to last forever. Several people told me that it was their favorite activity of the whole weekend and we have had endless fun conversations about our final paintings. Magnolia not only had a beautiful setup for us in the park, she was patient, let us be creative and encouraged us. I've never painted anything before - and I was shocked that I was able to create something like that. I will be using this service again in the future.

A few of the team's work with Magnolia !

Do I have to book an event ahead of time? I tried looking for a calendar on their website to indicate the schedule of classes and price but couldn't find anything

I had some questions regarding masks - my daughter is disabled and hard of hearing, she cannot wear one and neither can I as she partially reads lips to communicate with people. Needless to say these past years have been VERY difficult for us. Luckily Maital understood not only to our situation, but to laws and freedoms. She had no problem with us enjoying her space and being creative without masks. As we spoke I began to see that she stood for freedom and kindness. She said - If you want to or have to wear one, you're welcome in my business, If you don't want to or cannot wear one, you're welcome in my business. We felt totally at home surrounded by beautiful things and a wonderful, kind person who gave my daughter an amazing day!! Thank you Maital for your help, support and the fun we had with you!!! I recommend anyone to her studio and to just have fun relax and be a human again!!! And for those who are still panicking and worried about living life during this 'pandemic' - my comment is STAY HOME!! So the rest of us can go without having to cater to you because of your insane fears!!

Marc was a great instructor and did an amazing job at teaching techniques in addition toto the recipe and pivoted smoothly if things weren't exactly on track. I really enjoyed that you make a meal with other people then get the opportunity to sit down and eat the meal you prepared with them. We merely went to someone's private house, cooked in her kitchen with her, and ate the meal. I was disappointed that it wasn't in a professional kitchen with other students. We were the only students tonight which was kind of nice, but also not so, because after we ate, we felt rushed to leave the house. The food we made was good though for the most part. The appetizer was okay, but not something I would make on my own as it consisted of baking a whole wheel of camembert cheese and topping it with apples sauteed in butter and sugar. It was good though, but not something we would make. Also, the dessert was not something we would make on our own either. We peeled two pears and soaked them in a whole bottle of red wine. My husband and I both felt that it was a waste of a bottle of wine as when you finish cooking it, you just throw away the rest of the wine. The main meal was chicken sauteed in butter and olive oil first then baked in a caste iron skillet. The chicken could have been cooked longer as it wasn't well cooked and kind of raw in my opinion. My husband who is a very picky eater actually liked it and said it was good, but I didn't think it was cooked well enough for my tastes. The leek sauce was nice and the ratatouille was okay, but I also felt the eggplant could have been cooked longer. Again, this was a very expensive experience for what it was. I think I paid about $270 for the both of us together, almost $300. I feel we could have just sat down at a really nice restaurant and ordered top of the notch steak and have had money left over. In any case, we've been wanting to take a cooking class together for a while, so we have that checked off our list. I just would not do this again with this company, with that chef, or recommend anyone else to waste their money doing it either.

We immediately walked over and I was trying to get more info on what they're all about and I left confused. I considered hosting a party at blending lab in the past & I was under the impression that we blend our own wine. Yesterday I asked the guy behind the counter some questions and he didn't mention this option at all. He said we can taste wine and pay for a glass...I was actually trying to learn more about the business, not the offerings at the opening party . I'm truly invested in putting beautiful West Adam's on the map, I love and purposely made an effort to move into this neighborhood. Maybe next time I'll learn more about what they'll be offering at this new location. They have a cute interior plus a small outdoor area with string lights. I was a bit surprised the glass of wine was $20 which isn't competitive for this area (the area is not nice enough yet) but I know costs are getting high. I do want to support businesses moving into our community but I'd like them to take into consideration that this is still south LA and a lot of people who grew up in this neighborhood isn't a fan of the gentrification and pricing the businesses charge I do feel for them, people like me moving into the neighborhood hasn't helped but even for me I thought it was a bit much. I'll continued observing but nonetheless am happy to see something be open up. Maybe I'll take a class one day if that's still an option and update my review.

The Color Me Mine in Beverly Hills was open on a Monday, and so I trekked out here to indulge my inner child. My *very* first job was at a Color Me Mine in Valencia in 2000, and it delights me that the franchises still look very much like they did back in the day. This location is clean and mostly well-equipped (they didn't have squeeze bottles for writing), and it was easy and straightforward to get started. The staff were friendly and helpful. I chose a cereal bowl (believe me, though, I was very tempted by the more whimsical ceramic pieces, such as the cat jar and the, uh, "beakers" :P ), and while I didn't originally have a design in mind, I was inspired by the tile wall to paint an ocean theme. I spent a few very pleasant hours glazing my bowl. I added a small ceramic boat and asked the staff (writing it in the notes on my slip) to glue it in the middle of the bowl. It turned out SO cute. And I will absolutely toot my own horn with the excellent glaze work :) Hehe
