It was easy to schedule online and the company reached out via text message to confirm and communicate any scheduling changes, which was very convenient. The groomer arrived earlier than initially expected which worked out nicely for us. (He reached out via text the morning of to see if he could come earlier.) Upon arrival he was kind, personable and so good with our pup. She took to him pretty quickly. This was our first grooming experience ever. And I didn't realize how valuable it would be to have someone come to your home, greet your pet and groom them onsite, but it was such a time saver for us. It allowed us to do some much needed home maintenance with the pup out of the house. I received a text when the groomer was done and then shortly after there was a knock on the door with our freshly groomed pup. I do have to note that the shampoo products smelled strongly. I've tried two different groomers, and both have had limited English skills, which has led to communication issues. One groomer completed the grooming in just about 20 minutes, resulting in an uneven haircut that was far from satisfactory. It seems like they always leave something undone--whether it's trimming nails or expressing anal glands, both of which should be standard services included in the price. It's concerning that the appointments feel rushed, raising the question: how can a thorough grooming be done in such a short amount of time? I've attached a picture from my dog's most recent grooming appointment, highlighting the unevenness of her coat. I had high hopes for this service, but I believe there's a significant need for improvement in both the quality of grooming and attention to detail. Sadly, I can't recommend art Pet Grooming for the Central Valley at this time. Edited in response to the owners commentary below: we've had our dog groomed several times. I used Yelp to get various quotes and appointment options. Art Pet mobile was the best fit. We scheduled for 11am on a Wednesday. They send you various reminders before. My only issue was that the groomer arrived at 9:30 am instead of 11 as scheduled. Without any warning he just parked outside my house. Luckily I was home. Im usually at the gym at that time. Hence the -1 star. He worked quick and left my girl looking amazing. She even smelled great and looks so much cuter and ready for the summer season. It is a bit pricey for a small/medium dog (she is a terrier mix) but after credit card fee, taxes and tip it was over $160. Ouch. But with that said the convenience and the ease of the appointment and not having to transport my dog was worth it. read more

The groomer was great. The process was good. Tipped the groomer well, ask him. However, I don't know who's handling their customer service via phone and email, but plain rude and disrespectful. Also, still didn't answer my question. I chose the Master Level Grooming Service which is their best selection. It is similar to their Dog Haircut Service. Differences appear to be the therapeutic aspects and Master Level has the addition of "accessory" (see screenshot). When I emailed them I tried to gain clarification of what the two services are and asked them to educate me on their services. Furthermore, the rep advised the accessory was the bandana. However both services say "Bandana or Tie" included. I asked what is the accessory they're advertising on their website. Still doesn't clarify what the accessory is. Cause if I didn't get something I paid for, then refund me the portion that was missed. I could care less if the cost difference is because of the therapeutic aspects, but why advertise something that doesn't exist? If it's the bandana/tie, why double list it as something else? Then go on to explain different costs of fabrics. If it's a better fabric than what they give on their Dog Haircut Service, why not just say that? Why not be clear and specific in your ads listed on the website? If not that. Then show some good customer service and explain what is being misunderstood. It had been a few months since his last grooming but with the move we had little time to do a deep search. After reaching out to a few places we decided to go with Art Pet Mobile based on the reviews and convenience of coming to our home. We communicated through email/text. We were quoted $140 based on his size and service. We usually pay about $120 at Petco The groomer arrived 20 min early. We just arrived home from grocery shopping so the groomer waited a few minutes while we unloaded the car. No pressure, it was fine. I took our dog Buddy out to the van. The groomer was affectionate and appeared to treat him patiently. He asked if we wanted short. I said we want 1 inch all around. I assumed he would come out like all his other grooming and the pics this company has of similar dogs online. Man, was that a mistake!! The groomer finished and I received a link to pay the bill. It was $195! We were being charged for a "Large dog", a $9.95 service fee (??) and $5.95 credit card fee. First of all, Buddy weighs 25lbs, hardly a large dog. I questioned the groomer and he replied that he doesn't speak English. What?! I called the company and questioned the charges. They said they had not record of ever talking to me. ??? Well, obviously that's not true. You just groomed my dog. I asked if I could pay another way besides a credit card. I was told, no. I said when you tell people it will cost $140, then you have an obligation to tell them about the service fee and credit card fee. It's not $140. It's $156! All this on top of a HORRIBLE haircut. They butchered him and made him look like a street dog! It's uneven, extremely short which will cause it to mat when it grows out! Avoid this place! read more

I previously had a great experience with this company, which is why I specifically requested a particular groomer. Unfortunately, a different groomer named Jonathan was assigned, and the results were extremely disappointing. There was a clear communication barrier as Jonathan did not speak or understand proper English and had to use his phone to translate and communicate and despite showing a reference photo and explaining the style and length I wanted, my dog was shaved much shorter than requested with uneven areas and visible patchiness. The face and ears weIre not shaped properly, and the overall grooming looked unfinished. When I contacted the company, the response felt dismissive rather than solution-focused. I have used this service twice. Both times the groomers don't speak good english and difficult to communicate. HOWEVER, both times, my dog was well taken care of and looked amazing. They are pretty expensive considering. However, I am paying for the convenience of them coming to me AND I have a large golden retriever. They do take a long time, it was at least 2 hours for both visits. The vans are very nice (mercedes sprinters) and are well equipt and very clean. I did take a look inside. It was over 100 degrees on one of those days, and they had a generator to keep the air on, so they were comfortable and groomer could do their job. The 2nd time, when I requested a female, they changed it on me without notice (the day of) to a male. No reasons, just changed it. Overall, had a good experience both times.
