He is a very difficult client, even with some prescribed medical help from our vet. And yet, Maggie is still very sweet and patient with him. As much as Kirby hates grooming, it's clear he's more comfortable once his over-the-top fluffiness and shag is cleaned up. DOOM had a bath, as well as the teeth, brushing and mouth spray, and we had specifications on what parts of his fur should be trimmed, which would just actually be around his feet, and Gustavo executed perfectly. We actually had doubts for this groomer, as a previous one, returned to our dog with red eyes, which was alarming since it wasn't communicated prior to the session ending, which for us was a really big deal. We gave them another shot, and Gustavo did really well. We had a slight language barrier issue, and Gustavo whipped out the Google translate, which I think was very proactive, and answered any questions that would help put us at ease. On top of that, he also sent a few pictures during the session of DOOM to put us more at ease, which I really appreciated. Safe to say, I will happily be rebooking for the next grooming session. She has some mobility challenges now and they have adapted to her needs, noting last time that she's having a harder time standing through the whole grooming appointment and needs the support of a belly band. Which is true. I've done all sorts of things to adapt to her hind quarters weakness and partial paralysis and I'm really thankful that her groomer has done what they could to help her, too, without my having to ask. As usual, she came out looking good and smelling good -- I love that they don't use heavy perfumes and whatever they do use just leaves a nice pleasant, fresh smell. She's silky soft after every groom, and she clearly feels good about her time there since she always comes out smiling and prancing when she's done (feeling fancy, I guess). Great business and great people, friendly and helpful, super glad I found them. It doesn't hurt that they're only five minutes away from home but I'd bring Kiva here even if we had to drive a bit!

I adopted my little girl at the beginning of…read morethe pandemic and she has allergies, anxiety, luxating patella in both legs and a litany of other health issues so she has had many visits to the vet. She hated going to the vet for nail trims so I had to sedate her and she would whine and cry on the drive there. She has fast growing extremely long black nails that need to be trimmed every 3 weeks and squirminess so she often got cut at the vet. I started to take her to Martha 2 years ago and I honestly think she loves her more than she loves me. I no longer need to sedate her and no more cuts! She also whines and cries on the short drive to Doggie Grooming Styles and though she is strapped in, will try to jump out of the car but now it is because she can't wait to get to Martha for her mani-pedi. We run from the car and she causes such an uproar when she gets in and all 22 pounds of her tries to tear down the gate to get to her true love. They have their own routine and route where after her nail trim she parades around the shop with Martha greeting each groomer to get her pats.
