I have taken my dog to Isis every time and she takes such good care of my little Bernedoodle, Oban. She is so careful and attentive that when she trims his face, she preserves his long eyelashes and whiskers - I don't know how. In addition to the eyelashes, she also pays attention to his sixth toes on each foot, ensuring to clip this as well. It may seem like a minor problem, but many groomers overlook that component. Beyond her attentiveness, she's an excellent groomer and really cares about my dog. You can tell, though, that everyone here does. Elena and Lush Spaw have been more than accommodating for his services, by setting early appointments for him. He gets the Zoom Bath along with added services such as nail trim, under paw trim, and de-shedding. He's done within 30-40min. She also shares feedback on how he does each visit, in addition to trying different techniques (he's a stubborn Shiba with a solid back kick and hates the drier ). We've used Lush Spaw on Winchester a few times and were excited to hear about a new location closer to us. Unfortunately, the grooming experience for our dog was not up to par with our previous experiences. At first, everything looked great when I saw my dog after he had his grooming appointment. He even had a cute orange bow collar on him. However, the following day, I noticed that he seemed quite uncomfortable, randomly jumping up (while laying down) as if he had been bitten by something and would then start to lick his lower area. After it happening multiple times throughout the day I decided to inspect him and that's when I found the grooming rash (photo attached). There is also a small skin nick (I think) to the left of the rash. In addition, I discovered that my dog's nails were also not trimmed even though that was supposed to be part of the grooming package. (His dew claws are starting curve inward.) I'm hoping the rash will resolve itself in a few days or we will need to get it checked out by the vet. It seems like all the current reviews for this location rave about Elena who was not my dog's groomer. I guess if we decide to continue using this location I should make sure to always request Elena to ensure a good experience. read more

ASK FOR ELENA!! We've followed her from the Winchester location, to Union Ave, and now at El Camino, and she has never disappointed! It's so difficult to find a groomer I can trust. Bear is very particular with his groomers and is a very anxious boy, but he was instantly comfortable with Elena. We can tell she treats him well because he'll REFUSE to go to someone he does not like. Every time we visit, she always greets him so warmly, and he's always ready to go. I never have to worry when I leave him for his bath because I know she'll take good care of him. She always provides updates on how he did during grooming, and she'll give advice on how to make him more comfortable. He used to be defensive with one of his paws, and she recommended we bring him in between baths for a nail grind to help him get used to it, and it worked! He also used to have very little fur as a puppy, which did not require a full groom service, but Elena notified us when he was ready to switch services which was very helpful. He always comes back happy, fresh, and perfectly trimmed! Elena will always do her best for any scheduling accommodations, and is responsive with any questions or concerns! read more

Disappointed in our grooming appointment today. It was our first time at the Santa Clara location and we were so excited because this location is way closer to home since we usually go to the Winchester location. Originally, we wanted to book Elena since many reviews were raving about her experience and skills but our schedules did not align and so we opted for the any staff option and to possibly find our go-to groomer at this location. Upon meeting our groomer, she was very sweet and kind and I showed her a reference of photos and videos of what I wanted the cut to be. I also mentioned I wanted to keep the length and poofiness of the tail but trim the long hairs a little bit. The cut was waaaay shorter than I wanted it and when I asked for a trim of the tail, I didn't mean to shave off part of it. Mind you, my dog wasn't matted to begin with so I didn't understand why our groomer went shorter than what I asked for. I didn't understand what she meant by "my dog had uneven skin" that she had to shave all his hair off... Later in the evening, I noticed my dog being very irritable and kept picking at his under belly or near the knees. Our groomer did not mention anything about what I found under there. It appears to look like a part of my dog's skin was shaved off. I don't appreciate the lack of transparency on the groomers end to not inform me that my dog got injured during the groom. I don't want this groom to be a deal breaker to never come to this location ever again. I will 100% not book the same groomer. I've had many grooms from Lush Spaw that were great. I just hope that this location re-teaches their groomers about transparency so something like this never happens again. UPDATE: I received a phone call the next day with Lush Spaw about our groom and we discussed what happened and came to agreement that the groom wasn't what I normally get and they were able to resolve any issues-- moving forward. This was very important and transparent which I really do appreciate and I am thankful for. Again I've had bad grooms at other pet salons and they weren't as transparent but Lush Spaw has proven that they are willing to learn and improve. I hope our next groom will be much better than this one. read more
