A cute little place in the Village of the Arts area of Bradenton. We decided on two ravioli plates, one was the sausage ravioli special and the other was the ricotta and spinach ravioli. Our beers were not as cold as they should be. The spring mix salads were ok, I wasn't a fan of it. Husband loves the Sausage ravioli and I enjoyed mine but found the Vodka sauce on the salty side. The Tiramisu was awesome! I would come back but next time I will try the pizza and definetly dessert. The service was good but it was just two tables that evening. read more

Not only is this one of the best Italian places outside of Modena, but the family atmosphere really makes things amazing to be around. The big Italiano is just... Amazing. Disappointing pizza. We ordered the margarita pizza but only had problems. First they made the wrong pizza and after waiting for it we had to wait longer for the correct pizza to be made. Everyone makes mistakes but we weren't offered anything while we waited. Just a brief apology and a long wait. When the pizza did finally arrive it was just a plain cheese pizza with one small basil leaf in the middle. I guessed I should have asked but my experience has been that a margarita pizza has chunks of mozzarella cheese and plenty of chopped up basil on it (especially if the menu states that it has home grown basil). So if you order the margarita pizza you should expect an average plain cheese pizza. Disappointing. Plenty of other pizza shops in town with better choices. read more

This restaurant holds a special place in my heart. Such a quaint and cozy little place run by a wonderful couple. You can tell that the chef cares about his food and the people that he feeds as if they're his family. The love and care that he puts into each dish is pure greatness. I'm kind of late with making this review but I felt the need to post anyway. Myself and a few friends ate at this quaint little place May 6, 2017. We ordered 4 different pizzas. My favorite was the one with the spicy salami. The couple who run this establishment gets two thumbs up. The Misses (Meredith) is the waitress as well as the hostess The Mr is the chef we didn't get to meet him he had to cook lol. Though we never got to meet the chef the introduction we got through his cooking instantly made us feel like best friends lol. The Meredith also baked some mean nutella chocolate chip cookies that will make you give up your bank pin number. She was very nice and pleasant even though she was running around like a headless chicken doing her best to keep us content. The service was nothing short of spectacular. Amazing food. I'm a neighbor of this restaurant so I've been eating here almost every night for the past several months. I wish I could eat the borsellini, salads, ravioli, lasagna, eggplant parmesan, and desserts for breakfast lunch and dinner everyday for the rest of my life. Loved the quiet, intimate and cozy little getaway this place provided. We got the caprese con prosciutto, pesto fettuccine and iced teas. Very cute local restaurant with amazing food. They make most of thier food fresh daily and the rest is imported from Italy. I decided to have the pasta with pesto sauce, which was very tasty. The setting is very relaxed and artsy. They also have gluten free options if you ask. read more

The food left much to be desired.The mixed Green Salad had dressing with no spices and Balsamic . We had to ask the server to bring us more.the Margarita Pizza took 45 minutes to arrive at the table. There were very few people there. We felt sorry for the poor server. This is the 2nd place we have eaten at in the Village of the Arts. Can't wait for the Taco Place to open down there. This is REAL Italian. Everything is homemade and tasted fantastic. The prosciutto in the antipasti appetizer was so good! We also had the cheese sampler which was fantastic. We had pasta and pizza and all items were very good. Homemade canolli for dessert was the icing on the cake. The restaurant is in a remodeled house, kind of funky and very appropriate for the area. We had 6 people and it was very easy to have a conversation. The service was the perfect amount of attentiveness and helpfulness. We will be back. We loved it. read more

I found this restaurant while looking for a restaurant for my anniversary dinner. After looking at their menu I decided on Arte Caffe. We had their Big Italiano meat platter and absolutely loved it. We finished off our meal with the most amazing and decadent tiramisu. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting an amazing Italian meal. read more

A friend read about Arte Cafe in the paper and "kidnapped" 3 of us for lunch. What a fantastic hidden gem! We felt like we were back in Italy! The meats were just like what we had had in Italy and no wonder that are imported from there! Four of us split two imported salami, tomato and (if I remember correctly) pesto sandwiches and two proscuitto, fresh mozzarella and basil sandwiches. Can't wait to try it for dinner. Delicious Italian food served by delightful people. They create a family atmosphere and the chef and owner comes out to chat and check on you. The parmigiana is over the top along with the fresh baked focaccia bread. I had a tasty prosciutto sandwich served on fresh baked focaccia with mozzarella and tomatoes, delizioso!!! My kids devoured the pasta, homemade fettuccini. Highly recommend and will be back for more. They mentioned they're working on a liquor license, which will only enhance the incredible experience. Absolutely incredible, my Friend and neighbor, Tina and I went for lunch. The reason, the only Restaurant wit 5 stars across the board. Everything was outstanding, Meredith was out on a grocery trip, so Remo entertained us with his history and all of the wonderful things they serve. Small and cozy house turned restaurant. The wife was our server and husband the chef. The prosciutto and cheese platter was a great at to try different flavors. My husband had the short rib ravioli with meat sauce and I had cheese-filled and truffle pasta in cream onion sauce and both were extremely delicious. You can usually tell a good restaurant by their bread. Bread isn't a profit center, but it sets the tone and shows the philosophy of the restaurant. Add an anti-pasta that was more than enough for 2 (4 shared this one) and combine that with home made everything, and you have four happy customers who will definitely return. Our table choices ran the gamut of pasta including gnocci, penne, linguini and angel hair with either meat sauce or tomato sauce. The salad wasn't amazing but was a good compliment to our dining experience. The homemade cannoli was as good as any NY cannoli from Little Italy. Our waitress, KD was professional, friendly and efficient. The owner Remo chatted with us and was appreciative that we loved his food and his restaurant. The Village of The Arts is starting to develop into a go-to place. Granted, it has a way to go, but you can see that in a few years, it will be a destination for fine and unique dining, set in a colorful array of homes, arts and crafts.
