My wife son and I came down here from Boston ma to visit my wife's family. Her father is a foodie and barely eats out at restaurants and raves about this place. We went on our second night in Bradenton. From start to finish the place is exceptional. Just alone the look of the restaurants makes you feel warm and at Home. It's a family run place where the husband runs the back of the restaurant and the wife runs the front. We got the family style Meal. It can literally feed an army. First time here .... All I can say Is WOW! Yum !!! I have been at Italian places all over the country and this was one of my top 5 ! Vodka sauce was delicious could of just ate it with a spoon ! The spinach ravioli was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of ricotta to spinach ratio ... cannoli was delish ! One of best kept secrets in Bradenton! A friend brought us here and I am so glad he did ... will definitely become a regular when we come to town !! Maybe my expectations were too high due to all the 5 star reviews, but I was a bit disappointed by my experience here. We went on a Saturday night- made reservations for 2 3 weeks in advance and still had to eat at 5:30. Very tiny venue but cute and quirky. Menu is quite small, which I knew going in but what I didn't know was that some items would not be available within that menu. For example I was hoping for eggplant parm (a special) but thought if that was not the special for that day I would get the lasagna. Unfortunately the lasagna was out. Hard to understand why since we had such an early dinner spot. Anyway, went with the ravioli instead which was fine but not outstanding ( in my opinion). Didn't want pizza and the 2 app specials were not appealing to us so we didn't have starters. Bread was on the house and was good. Husband got a pasta dish that he liked- don't remember the name sorry. Dessert was a chocolate filled and topped puff pastry which again was good but not terrific. There was a family at the next table seated shortly after us who were getting the family style dinner- that looked much more interesting than what we were served and I would consider returning with a larger group to try it. I wish I could give 10 stars. We've never had a bad meal here. This was our first time experiencing the family style meal (there were 6 of us), or shall I say family feast. What an amazing evening we had! Every one of the five courses was perfection: the imported cold cuts, pizza, fresh green salad, 3 kinds of pasta, assorted dessert tray. I do not recommend this option if you want a quick meal. It was a slow but well-paced progression of courses and we were still sad to leave, lol. Everything was fresh and presented beautifully. We love the Arte Caffe for all the reasons mentioned above. The food is absolutely delicious with a great selection. Yesterday we stopped for lunch in our favorite quaint restaurant in the VOTA. The food, the chef, the waiting were all superb. We had a delicious salami sandwich, a salami pizza( mmmmm so good? And a small salad.. oh can't forget the cannoli and wine... we left sated with food and relaxation!! These people work very hard and are usually very busy. Made a reservation for my husband and myself to celebrate my birthday (I notified restaurant when making the reservation that it was a special occasion). This was our first visit, and I was looking forward to it after hearing all the great reviews! The food was fantastic, the ambiance was decent, the service was not good. Our server acted like we were inconveniencing her whenever we asked for something (like salt and pepper?!) or when we had questions about the menu. It was like she had this elitist attitude, but she was dressed like she'd been teaching pottery classes all day. I didn't need a red carpet for my birthday, but she didn't make one mention of it, even though I'd let her know when we made the reservation. And we got plastic plates and bowls because she said they had "run out of the regular table wear". This was at 5:30 pm, so I was confused about that. I can't emphasize enough how delicious the food was, but until the service matches the food quality, we'll be doing carry out! read more

Such a fun and delicious spot. Very unique when you arrive, you almost feel like your in someones home which is the best part of the whole experience. As far as social distancing they do a wonderful job separating people throughout. They are super clean! The food was incredible. The meats, pasta sauce and pasta wow! To top it off you must get the Tiramisu, even if its to go! The other daughter is so upset she didn't come w us after she heard us talking about how amazing the food was. My father inlaw was off the boat from itailn. Spoke broken English so it goes without saying that eating Italian food out for my family is difficult as we're use to very authentic Italian dishes. Arte caffe is 100% authentic Italian. Very small place so if you're looking for a huge menu this isn't the place. If you're looking for a very focused menu w homemade authentic dishes w great service this is the place. I have been to this restaurant twice now and I just can not speak any more highly of a restaurant in the area. This husband and wife put together the most welcoming and warm environment for your dining experience. We had their 5 course meal offering which is started with delicious meat, cheese and caprese plates, second course of 3 different pizzas, third course of salad, fourth course of 3 different types of pastas and the fourth course is a dessert course. This is the most authentic Italian restaurant that I have been too in the area and many of those in our party who have traveled to Italy many types said this was the most delicious and authentic Italian food they have had since their trip to Italy. Find a group of friends and go enjoy a delicious assortment of food prepared fresh. Everything is well done amazing. If I lived closer I would be here weekly. The rotating specials make it so there is always something new to try. The desserts are also out of this world. It's tucked away in Bradenton's art village but this place is one of Bradenton's top restaurants. My favorite items are the gnocchi or the black fettuccini. This is right up there with pizza from the north. (And by north, I don't mean Clearwater.) I had the penne pasta, which as simple as it sounds - was fantastic. The ricotta blended in with the incredible sauce. The antipasto app was just ok, but everything else here is top notch. Don't expect fast service. The vibe here is you've been invited over to someone's house. As I'm sure many will mention, there's even a shower in the bathroom. Parking is probably tricky at times since it's in a neighborhood and there's no lot. But you really have a great spot here Bradenton. I was very fortunate to have lived few houses away from Are café. As soon as I saw this quaint house w/ tables & chairs outside i knew I had to try the food. The chef (host's husband) made a point to visit every table even if busy! (This couple definitely know their stuff!). The little wait staff they have is insignificant if they couldnt take few minutes out of their busy nights to approach each of their assigned tables & stop to make sure the customers were satisfied w/ everything! The even more impressive part was that regardless how many tables they had to service, everyone was professional & respectful! Ive taken anyone who visits me there & than some! I have heard great reviews about Arte Caffeé for quite some time from the locals. I finally got the chance to go there when traveling to the area and I was totally blown away! The food was amazing, starting with an old fashioned pizza appetizer. It's something you have to try for yourself - words can't describe the perfect blend of flavors and thin crust. It's heavenly! She was informative and helpful with the menu. I ordered the Carpaccio appetizer to start off with, as well as a chef salad. Oh My! It was amazing! It was well presented and delivered so much flavor. Next, I was presented with our entrees, my spouse got the prosciutto di parma pizza, and I got the three cheese ravioli with a pink vodka sauce. Once again, Oh My! It was amazing. Mama Mia! What a quaint little gem in the heart of village of the arts. We approached Arte, and were greeted by a couple that were raving about the food as they were leaving. We were greeted first by the hostess, then the chef waved at as from behind the kitchen. We promptly started with breads, and heard the specials. We decided on a mango carpaccio special that was outstanding. Everything from the bread to the side salads were on point as well. For dinner my wife had the short rib ravioli in meat sauce, and I had the special, a sausage raviolis in garlic sauce. I didn't speak, I didn't play on my phone, and I didn't look away from my food while I was eating. I'm moving about an hour north, and I will make time to drive down and still frequent Arte. A not to be missed place. Five stars for everything, from the adorable decor, first class service from owner Meredith and the food - oh the food, prepared by her chef husband. My hubby and I have been on an endless search for a pizza that matched a superb one we had in Positano Italy in 2005. Our search is over. We had the Margherita and it was perfection - the crust, the sauce, the cheese - all first rate top quality ingredients making this simple pie extraordinary. Oh and the sandwich. I chose the Salami. Just wow. Again the quality of the few ingredients (imported salami and cheese, arugula) and house-made bread (OMG ) elevated a relatively simple sandwich into a flavor adventure.. The sandwich came with a lovely salad that, again, showcased its simplicity with a dressing made with excellent imported olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We arrived 30 minutes before they were closing for lunch and Meredith made us feel so welcome and not the least bit rushed. She was attentive and warm and gracious to both us and our two German Shepherd doggos. If there wasn't so much food we would have eaten every last bite but alas we had to take the sandwich home and I'm already looking forward to enjoying it for dinner with a nice glass of Pinot Gris (just wish I didn't have to share). With two glasses of iced tea and a home/made cannoli, the entire meal came in under $34. What an incredible deal especially considering the quality of the food.
