Terrible experience. I work across the street and sometimes me & my coworkers order take out from Artemis. It's usually super easy to place an online order, pick it up & bring it back to eat at work. Today we had a little bit more time so we called and asked the worker who had answered the phone if we could place an order and sit down for a moment to eat before we went back to work. We still wanted to-go boxes so we could bring it back to work in case we didn't have time to finish eating. After we paid $40 for 2 meals, we sat down and began eating. Not even a minute after sitting down a man who I assume is the manager, walked up to us and said "are you guys hanging out for a bit" which we replied "yes". He then says... word for word "this stuff costs me money so next time you want to eat here maybe eat it here" Let me just say, there will not be a next time. It was extremely rude and I understand trying to cut costs but his tone and comments were completely unnecessary. I will not be back, & neither will my family or friends. Let's see to start. I walked in and grabbed my own menu and the lady asked me if I wanted to sit down or to go and I said to Go she said why don't you sit at the counter? Someone will take care of you 15 minutes later no one's even acknowledged me there's a guy in the back who is supposed to be working sitting on a Work table and reading his phone absolutely horrible service. Loyal customer, It looks like Artemis charges an additional 15% for your pick up orders. In case you would like to leave additional $ for a tip (like we did ‍), there is a tipping guide at the bottom of the receipt that is handed to you by bar tender (itemize receipt upon request only). If you were to follow the guide, your to-go fee + tip would be over 33% of the total food expense. After you get home and look through your receipts, it's surprising to see the underhanded nature of the transactions. The food is decent. However the feeling you get after finding you've been hood winked by a "local" establishment who's been doing this to you over and over and over and over again... is bitter, off putting, disappointing, and deterring. It feels like you want to choose other options for the near and distant future. As your neighbor (literally) it leaves a figurative foul taste in our mouth. The spanakopita is always a hit. Their speed to turn it around was quick. Probably 15 - 20 minutes to have it all put together and ready for pick up. Our family loves the seared tuna on the Artemis salad. Delicious. Nice employees. Friendly, responsive, helpful. I think you can get a discount on your first online order. 20% off. Every bit helps with today's inflation and gas prices. Although we did not eat there this time, they have a nice patio and it's comfy inside. This is a great option in Bee Cave and Lakeway. I just left Artemis Grill without ordering after being ignored at the bar for approximately 10 minutes. This was 3:00 in the afternoon and the restaurant was not busy. The two bartenders/servers clearly saw me, but it was apparently more important for one of the workers to welcome her wife and talk to her for several minutes and then for her to make sure the other bartender who was actually working to come over and join in the group hug before greeting a customer who had been waiting. I have been here many times and generally had good service, although the prices are a touch on the high side. However, the current staff (at least today) does not understand customer service or prioritization. My girlfriend is in the service industry, and when I show up to her establishment I do not expect her to ignore her customers and talk to me for minutes on end. read more

I love Artemis. Artemis is my favorite restaurant in Bee Cave/Lakeway. Friendly, open, clear and professional staff... every single time I come in, for well over a year and a half now! I can also tell that the BOH team cares as the food is always yummy and put together - you can TELL the person who made it isn't some sloppy joe who doesn't care. This is a solid spot in the Bee Cave area...which I must admit lack a lot of decent restaurants. My absolute favorite is the Greek Lettuce Wraps - Crisp romaine cups filled with spicy ground chicken, sundried tomatoes and aromatic vegetables topped with feta, julienned cucumber, and fresh mint vinaigrette. It reminds me with a Thai Larb Na appetizer, but with a Greek twist. The veggies and feta add a western flavor that you cannot experience with the Larb. I didn't mention about the Souvlake plate. I had my share of the lamb and I highly recommend. It's a very flavorful dish. Great and fresh Mediterranean food has now come to Bee Cave (thank god for a better restaurant option here). Artemis Mediterranean Grill - Lettuce appetizer - Greek Near Me - Bee Cave, Texas

Many people recommended trying this new restaurant to get my opinion. First impressions, this restaurant is situated at the intersection of 620 & 71W, next to a bank and a busy side entrance to Dillard's. It's too expensive (see below) and will struggle. The outdoor patio is well designed providing seating on sunny windless days. However, the road noise of cars accelerating to merge is overbearing for the outdoor dining experience. Let's go to the interior. Interior is nice but has an oddly angled designed bar. It's nice though. The bar stools were very uncomfortable for any duration with the main dining seats moderately better since it seems to be the same chair manufacture. I ordered a lamb gyro and one of their signature dishes, feta and spinach stuff chicken breast. Let's start with the latter. For $17.95, this entree cost is about $3. The chicken was not stuffed at all and more like a two flatten chicken breast pieces made into a sandwich with mushy warm feta and spinach compote in the center. In my opinion, feta cheese shouldn't be served warm in this way. The chicken breast meat was dry and no amount of lemon sauce is going to make it any better. The awkward bitter taste of sundried tomatoes was the kicker to this I'll designed and executed entree. The sides included saffron pilaf and tabboulch salad. The saffron didn't resemble any pilaf I've had, didn't have a saffron taste, was oily, seems to be instant rice, and a very few almonds that were not even toasted. It was also under seasoned. The salad used a fine grain cous cous and just was not fresh tasting and seemed to be leftover from the day before since the red onions had too much time to overtake the salad. The gyro was much better but a few too many flaws. First, lacked sufficient quantity of meat keeping in mind this is priced at $12.95 with an estimated cost of $2. The Greek sauce, besides being misspelled on the menu, needed more garlic for Greek yogurt sauce, included onions instead of cucumbers. The much hyped seasoned fries, while they plate them in mass, were uninspiring, and were served slightly warm and lacked the crunch and punch. The positive is the place is clean and service top notch. Was hoping for a better experience as this area needs places to succeed. I suggest to management to trim the menu considerably and focus on entrees which can be flawlessly executed. As is, too many menu items. I'll give it 3 stars since I only tried two dishes. A great addition to Bee Caves and a little gem to get a unique meal. The food is great and quite authentic - I used to own a Greek restaurant myself. I can't say this is better than my Greek grandmother's cooking, but it is quite tasty. The three of us had a very nice meal, everything was prepared with fresh, quality ingredients. From the souvlaki to the gyro, it's clearly not fast food. Yet the prices were very reasonable, We will stop by to try more items from the menu soon. read more

Having married into a Greek family of restaurateurs I was excited to find out this had opened in the area. We attempted to dine here a week ago but they were on a 20 minute wait despite that the restaurant was half full. So we returned tonight for another shot. The rundown... The good: Clean and modern decor and pet friendly patio with pretty expansive menu. Clearly marked and large selection of gluten free items. Very well priced for the abundant serving. The not so good: there doesn't seem to be any management or ownership present. We sat in the bar area and the bartender waited our section and quickly got in the weeds. They were out of Pinot noir so I settled on a cocktail and husband got a beer and then we did not see her again until 45 minutes later despite the fact she checked on the table next to us and we had empty glasses. The hallmark to a good Greek restaurant is Avgolemono soup, so I was excited to try it. Unfortunately when another server brought our food, the soup had been forgotten. So we asked her to bring us some and it never arrived. We finished our meal and waited and waited and watched the table next to us get refills. Eventually the bartender came back to check on us, apologized for the wait and brought us our bill. I understand this is Bee Cave and finding competent waitstaff is incredibly difficult, but as a new restaurant, ownership or management needs to be present to at least interact with guests. I find it interesting someone would go to the trouble and expense to open a restaurant without ending they have trained staff - that is the main reason so many places fail in the area. Pay a living wage and make it worth the drive for staff if you must. It will be profitable if you include a good wage in operating costs. Our gyro plate had standard rotisserie gyro in a substantial portion size and basic side salad with pita. We really wanted to try the baklava but service was so painfully slow we decided against it. So the restaurant missed the chance to make a bigger profit by neglecting to bring us our appetizer and refill our beverages. We will be back as we get tired of the same rotation in the area, but hopefully they will get more staff and management. Our Yia Yia, who ran a tight ship at her restaurant would have not been impressed with today's service. read more

I was thrilled when I heard about this new restaurant. This area has been in need of fresh, healthy and affordable food and Artemis is all that and more! I came with my son for lunch just after they opened for the day. The atmosphere is very chill, the style contemporary and the service excellent! I'm not a fan of the communal style silverware and napkins that are in a small box on the table. Sure, it looks cute and it is convenient, but it's not very sanitary. I had the chicken gyro, my son had the lamb gyro. We both thought it was great. The portion sizes are huge. The fries come out fresh and hot- don't forget to try the dipping sauce! I caught a glimpse of their salads as well as the kebab entree platter. I can't wait to try those next! read more

Food is 5 star, fast service and the lamb gyro is fresh and tasty. The fries were great and the seasoning made them excellent. All was good from the service to the food. The only challenge which is just an evening thing is the sun. The west sun blazes in on half the restaurant making it a little tough to stay out of the glare. A simple pull down sun screen on the west side of the building will resolve. Obviously not an issue at noon or during cooler months when we need the warmth. I liked the outside seating area but not sure when it would be feasible between May - October in Texas. Great food, fast and worth the visit read more

Wish I could rate the meal and dessert separately. 4.5 stars for the meal, 1 star for the dessert. The service was warm and friendly and most importantly, honest. We asked about portion sizes as it was party of 3 who were looking for a lighter meal. So we tried the appetizer lettuce wraps (1/2 spicy chicken, 1/2 not spicy). This dish is da bomb! I wish I could find a recipe for this but it seems to be quite unique to this place.. very Mediterranean and very very good.. fork fight as we shared it. We also shared a gyro plate with Greek salad.. also very very good as gyros go. Then we decided we had to have baklava... pistachio baklava. Big mistake. It looked beautiful and the honey drizzle was fine but it was as hard as a rock! Literally had to really saw hard with a knife to cut through and the bottom layer of phyllo was almost uncuttable. The taste was fine but it was either improperly prepared if a few days old or both. The waitress was so nice we didn't complain but maybe we should have. I'd come back in a heartbeat for the main course/appetizers but skip the baklava unless this was a fluke. read more

So happy to finally try Artemis as there is a shortage of great restaurants in Bee Cave, especially Mediterranean food! A few friends suggested we try this restaurant and I didn't even know it opened since it is somewhat hidden on the far side of the Galleria. They have a nice indoor and large outdoor eating area and the host was very friendly and sat us immediately. They had a nice draft beer selection and we ordered some falafel and French fries as an appetizer. Both were fantastic and the falafel was the best I've had in Austin! I ordered the chicken skewer plate which came with rice pilaf and vegetables. It was delicious and the seasoning on the chicken was very good. I also learned that it was gluten free which is perfect for my wife who has a gluten allergy. Everyone in our group enjoyed their food and the children also enjoyed their food selections. Artemis became a staple in our company's weekly lunch rotation. The have a pretty solid online ordering system paired with quick pickup process to match which is great. I love their Greek salad and the lentil soup as well, both hit hard. But the fries... now that's a completely different animal. I don't know what they are seasoned with in but it's essentially what I believe the dustings of heaven to taste like. I would easily order two sides of fries if I'm feeling like being extra indulgent. They are so dang good! read more

Super nice service, food was really good, loved the fries that came with the lamb gyro, lamb was really good seasoned. Wife also enjoyed the Greek salad with grilled chicken, chicken was good, salad overall (per mi wife) was good. Even when there were many other patrons in the place, food came fast and hot to our table, 3 different people from staff asked about our food and if we needed something while we were enjoying our meals. Having struggled for so long to find a good Mediterranean restaurant around town, Artemis delivers the goods. We ordered the Mousaka plate and Falafel Pita. The Mousaka came loaded with fresh veggies and delicious meat. The side of rice and salad complemented the rest of the food well. The bread used on the pita was warm and held up well. The falafel cooked perfectly and the tahini sauce exactly what I would expect (delicious). For dessert, we had a flaky, flavorful Baklava (upon return, we plan on trying the Chocolate Galaktoboureko). Props to the manager for recognizing my Oregon State t-shirt (Go Beavers!). read more

Dude! What a find! Artemis is our new favorite in Bee Cave! The staff is super knowledgeable, kind, and (through what seems to be lost at most restaurants during covid) hospitable! We ordered the seared halloumi cheese- decadent, the prawns- cooked to perfection, and the Gyro plate- to die for. The server was kind and thoughtful enough to split the gyro plate without us even asking! Absolutely delicious, high quality ingredients, and perfectly seasoned, the lamb was sensational. It was customers choice on wether to wear a mask or not, which we fully support any business that respects individuals rights, and again, made us feel beyond comfortable. Great job y'all!
