    Salmon special, so good!!
    Melissa R.

My significant other and I had lunch at Artemis for the first time a couple of days ago. We had wanted to have a nice lunch date, but time got away from us, so I took to Yelp to find a restaurant nearby so we could at least have a good meal, even if at a casual restaurant. When we arrived at Artemis, I was pleased to find that Artemis looked more upscale than it did in the pictures I saw. Again, we were hungry so we weren't expecting nice ambiance, only good food, but we got both! I ordered the salmon special, and it was amazing! It was light, creamy, and citrusy... and those mashed potatoes with feta and spinach, divine! My significant other got a bowl with ahi tuna and also really enjoyed it, to the point that he wanted to return to Artemis last night, which we did! Last night, we ordered a variety of things, and were pleased to discover that they have a small kids menu. Everything we had was again delicious, but what most stood out to me were the lentil soup and the seasoned fries. They were so flavorful! The service both times was great. We were happy with the friendly staff. I think we'll definitely be returning if and when we find ourselves in this area again.

Service was a little slow a couple times we've been here, but we really love the food and enjoy coming here. It's a nice restaurant with a nice bar, friendly servers we enjoy it

In A Nutshell: -This is a nice neighborhood restaurant for decent Mediterranean food. -I enjoyed their Herb Oven Roasted Chicken which came w/ small potatoes & baby carrots. -The Mezze sampler is highly recommended. -The falafel, dolmas, hummus, babba ghanoush, tzaziki and tabbouleh, served with pita bread, olives, and pepperoncinis were superb. Overall, this place seemed to be popular w/ the locals.

We came here during Happy Hour and ordered the falafels, lamb gyro, & a chicken gyro. The service was friendly but they did send out the wrong appetizers, so for future reference the fried pickles looked good, but they belonged to someone else. I wasn't a fan of the falafels, they were not very flavorful compared to other falafels we have had. However the experience was redeemed by the best seasoned fries I have ever had! I normally just order them as a side and don't pay much attention but these fries were so good that I would order them by themselves. Both gyros were both very good and flavorful! We will definitely be returning for those fries and I want to check out the baklava.

    Gyro plate & gyro wrap!

My husband and I just moved to lakeway and we found this place spontaneously after stopping by Lowe's! We were both blown away & will 100% be returning frequently. We both ordered traditional lamb gyro dishes. It was super flavorful and cooked perfectly. The staff is super attentive and friendly. We sat outdoors which had some ambiance with the string lights and melodic music playing which was a major bonus!

This is one of my girlfriend's favorite monthly haunts. She always gets the house Salad with Gyros. I met her here once before and we sat at the bar. Great service! Great food! Today I met her here once again and we sat in the middle of the room. They have a large patio on the side as well as a pretty dining room with a small bar area. I ordered a lavender lemonade with half unsweetened tea which was OK. Not as lemony as expected. Next we tried the dolmas. They eere fresh had a sweet lemon sauce with crunchy raw red onion. The flavor was good but the grape leaves were a bit tough, unfortunately. Next she had a Gyros Plate and I had a Lamb Souvlake plate. Both were really good. Mine came with a garlic dip that was really good. The lamb is cooked to order and came out a perfect medium, as requested. It was overall very good with a few minor adjustments needed in the preparations. Service, again, was really good and attentive. Bonus points for the on the house to-go drinks offered after the paid bill.

My wife and I stopped in on Christmas Eve after church. The restaurant was somewhat busy, staff greeted us at the door and sat us. We ordered pita/ hummus, Greek Salad and a Lamb Gyro. Everything was delicious! Absolutely delicious! We split the lamb gyro so they cut it and served on a couple plates. Staff were great, the ambiance was nice and we'll definitely be coming back.

Delicious food! Love the variety of vegetarian options. We got the Falafel burger (cut in half) with Greek salad, along with Veggie Pita with fries. The burger was great, and the fries were seasoned well. Service was good. Recommend this place to anyone!

We were starving on our road trip and googled Mediterranean near us. This place seemed promising with reviews and being close by. Walking in, we were greeted instantly. There was two tables already eating. Our waiter took a moment to actually get to us, we ordered. For the most part the service was good. I'd say 3.5/5. Our kids got the kids spaghetti and pita cheese pizza. We ordered the chicken and rice soup, fried cheese and falafels as an appetizer. The kids liked their dishes. The falafels were decent, a tad overcooked. They definitely tasted better with the sauce served with the gyro plate vs the tahini sauce it came with. They tasted burnt and not good with the tahini sauce. At first we thought it was hummus, but it wasn't. The cheese appetizer was good. But we've definitely had it better at other places. And for that price of $15 it wasn't worth it. My husband got the gyro plate and I the lamb kabobs. The gyro was the best thing we had. Great flavor. My lamb kabobs were cooked great just lacking flavor. The rice was not tasty in one bit. Whatever spices they added did not merry and there was no salt. I did enjoy the garlic sauce, but again it needed salt. For the price point at this restaurant and what you actually get, it's definitely overpriced. The quality and flavor profiles do not match the price.

We had a reservation and the host sat us down immediately and was so friendly. Our server was there right away. Her service was just perfect ... friendly and not over the top. She was knowledgeable about the dishes and gave us suggestions. We had a mockingbird mocktail and my son a soda. The drink was perfect. We ordered the whipped feta, falafel and beef Lamb kefta. Everything came out really quickly. The falafel was absolutely delicious. The whipped feta was a hit with my son. The kefta was a little disappointing. A little bland and dry. I ordered the pannacotta my son the chocolate chocolate cake. I absolutely loved mine with the sorbet on top. My son loved his cake. Atmosphere wise the restaurant is beautiful and cozy and grand but the only complaint would be the music was too loud and it was hard to hold a conversation. For me it doesn't match a nice restaurant but rather a bar concept I would say it was great service and great food

The waitress didn't come by to refill our waters, I had to ask the staff. And then we were sitting around for about 30 minutes to ask for boxes, and even the check. However, I'll think about coming here again because I didn't feel a good vibe with the service. We had to go look for someone to show us the table even though the place was empty for early lunch. Then, to get drinks or even the order was a problem. It took so much longer than usual. Our waitress was rude, and seemed bothered that we showed up. Then someone else came as the waitress and she was preoccupied with other tables and barely checked on us. A regular lunch which would've been one hour became almost two because of the lack of service. My friend had to stand and look for someone to give us a box to take out the good we couldn't eat because it was getting late and also to get the check because No one came in to check on us at all. A Fantastic Introduction to Mediterranean Food!…read more I recently visited Levant Halal Restaurant and brought my parents, who are visiting from India. It was their very first time trying Mediterranean food, and they absolutely loved it! We started with two different types of hummus served with pita. The hummus was incredibly flavorful, and the pita was exceptionally fresh. We also ordered the falafel, which was perfectly prepared and delicious. For the main course, we shared the Chicken Shish Taouk with sides of beet salsa and Lebanese potatoes--everything was cooked beautifully and tasted amazing. Honestly, the highlight of the meal for us was the drinks. The mint juice and beet juice were so refreshing and easily the best part! We finished our meal with baklava and basbousa for dessert, and both were fresh, sweet, and incredibly tasty. Beyond the fantastic food, the ambiance is very neat and clean, and the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. It's one of those places that's reliable and feels pretty consistent, knowing you're going to leave happy and full after eating here. The two times we've been there, theres always plenty of seating and are able to walk right in. It's a walk in and seat yourself experience and then you pay upon leaving. The staff keeps the dining area and buffet line consistently stocked and clean. They even provide hand sanitizer and gloves for you. Even when foot traffic picked up while we were there, the food was replenished quickly and didn't look picked over. Now let's talk food...Everything tastes fresh, well-seasoned, and like it was made with care instead of just being "buffet food" an under seasoned. The variety is also amazing, and it's easy to build a plate for pretty much any type of diet whether you're keto, high protein, balanced, veggie-forward, vegan, etc... Some of our favorite dishes we keep coming back for: Shredded beef (SO good), Baked fish (tender and not fishy), Garlic baked chicken (wonderful crispy skin), Fried chicken, Baked kafta, Kafta kebab, Gyro meat, Roasted cauliflower, Eggplant, Greek salad, Fatoush, Kale Caesar salad, Zaatar pizza, Cheese pizza (pro tip: top it with shredded beef- a life changing buffet hack), Rice with lentils, Rice with mixed veggies. For the quality, variety and amount of food you get, this is easily one of the best deals in the city! It's rare to find a buffet that's both affordable and consistently this good! If I had one small wish, it would be for desserts to match how strong the rest of the food is. They're not bad, just a little more "fine" compared to how amazing everything else is. I've seen another Dimassi's (I think in Cali) that had a frozen yogurt machine and I'd LOVE to see that here because it would be the perfect finish! Make a cup and then crumble up some baklava on it! Overall we've LOVED it here and we'll absolutely keep coming back! Great food, clean, consistent, and worth it every time!

Between me, my husband, and my mom, we have a lot of overlap in what we like to eat, but we also have some pretty distinct preferences, and Demassi's is one of those places where that works. My husband really loves Middle Eastern / Mediterranean food. I generally do not. I tend to find the meats too dry, I don't particularly like the spice profile, and I also find a lot of dishes in that category to be overly sour. It's hard to explain, but there's often a sharp, tangy acidity that I don't enjoy. For whatever reason, I don't have that issue at Demassi's at all. Here my husband can get his fix of dry, spiced meats, while I'm happy eating from the huge selection of rice dishes, cooked veggies, and soups. As far as protein goes, I actually really like the fish here, so I almost never eat the meat and still leave satisfied. It usually feels like a healthy pescatarian day for me, which I like. Then there's my mom, who just loves the abundance and variety of a buffet. She's happiest when she can sample a little bit of everything, build plates with lots of small bites, and then go back for more. Demassi's is perfect for that. On top of all of this, it's very reasonably priced, especially for lunch or on weeknights. It's always clean, the staff is consistently courteous, and they are really on top of bussing tables, which matters a lot to me at a buffet. Dirty dishes piling up are never an issue here. Overall, it's a solid, reliable spot for us and a place we're always happy to suggest when we're trying to please multiple people with different tastes.

This is a must get especially if you love warm and creamy stuff. The outside is nicely fried and if you never had it, it's similar to Japanese takoyaki. Although I love it a lot, the portion was just right for sharing because it really fills you up. We also got the potatoes (nice, but nothing that blew my mind) and chicken empanadas that I thought had a strange, sour taste. I wouldn't get that again. I had the eggplant and beef stew, Khoresh Bademjan, and Kashke Bademjan. Both were excellent and complementary despite te similarities. I liked the balanced of yogurt/whey against the eggplant mix with the starter. Someone else had Fesenjan (Persian Pomegranate Chicken), and it was delightful with its mix of sweetness, sourness, and balance that it tempted me away from considering ordering more eggplant dishes the next time I returned. The service was also exceptionally attentive, hospitable, and sociable. The ambiance was professional, fitting, and not overbearing. The deserts were also well portioned and easily shareable. My favorite was the Sholeh Zard, a Persian take on a rice pudding. I didn't see it on the menu, but they had some available. It was a nice mix of sweetness, florals, and spices without being too over the top in any quality. The price seemed fair. It didn't seem like a massive bargain or poor value. The portions were fairly large, but were not excessively massive. Everyone in my party had leftovers, but we are not big eaters and we ordered a starter and two deserts to share for the party of 4. A very slight negative was the rice was cooked a bit inconsistently giving it an uneven texture, but I was the only who noticed in our party. It may have been intentional, the slight crunchiness/hardness did create an interesting mouth feel. I know there are some dishes that do this intentionally. A minor flaw if that would not ruin a masterful meal and experience.
