I have heard lots of good things about this place and it was certainly crowded. I ordered a bowl that was already made. It seemed very "soggy" to me with all of the different sauces etc. Next time I would try and build my own. I got the spicy falafel bowl. I really liked the falafel itself and the pickled onions were good. Lots of the workers were young kids. They were diligent and friendly. Good for them for having a summer job. I worked several summer jobs like this. IMHO, I feel as though every young person should work some sort of service job. Then as you grow and become and adult, you know/remember what it's like and treat people with respect and kindness. *PSA is over-back to your regularly scheduled review. ;) The space was clean and there are great options for drinks. I got a water but don't get tricked like I did. Water is typically connected to a spigot under the soda right? Not this time. That's if you want "soda water". The regular water is a separate water station just past the special juice drink. Like I said, it was a very popular lunch place. It was like a revolving door. Check out the menu so you are prepared if you want to build a bowl or just go for it with a chef designed bowl.

Traveling for work parked me in Austin, Tx for the weekend. Yelping, I spied a Mediterranean restaurant that sounded healthy and fresh. And it was across the street from the hotel! Looking over the chef-curated bowls, they all sounded great and they were! All the flavors of the Med were well represented! I had Harissa Avacado and Balsamic Date chicken bowls. A lot of the poor reviews were pickup and app-driven. I walked in and placed an order. I ate there twice in 2 days and had ZERO issues. Once, eat in and the other to go. This is a chain located in numerous states. To my surprise, one is in Bartram village in Jax.

No tables had 10 seats but 2 tables right next to each other had 6 and 4. So we began to sit at those. Guy comes up and immediately aggressively "you don't need to do all that sit here (points at table with 8 chairs)". I say well we have 10 so we would need a couple more chairs. He's like "you could have just asked". We were literally just trying to be less of a hassle and I don't understand what's the "all that" we were doing in the context. Honestly it feels bad to even note this because of how good the rest of the experience was.

The Omni is beautifully decorated for Christmas, and our granddaughter loved seeing all the lights and decorated Christmas trees. We recently had dinner here, and our server was so accommodating with our little human. She made sure that she received her dinner pronto, and her sealed water cup was always filled. We started with their Brussels Sprouts. They were perfectly fried and tender with pork belly, agrodolce sauce, and pine nuts. Entrée portions are large. An order of their perfectly breaded and fried fish and chips is easily shared. My Steak Frites was a perfectly cooked medium/rare with a green peppercorn sauce. Do not sleep on their Texas chili with chopped brisket, served with jalapeño cornbread. They offer a full bar featuring some excellent local brews and specialty cocktails. I highly recommend the "Elevated" Margharita. Parking can be an adventure, especially if you are arriving at night. The salads were simple but they were fresh, and it was nice to have a light option for lunch. My partner also had a beer and he said that he enjoyed his drink here as well. A $20 SALAD MADE WRONG!!! Apparently their kitchen staff can't read…read more So I decided tried this place because it's always busy and within walking distance to my house. I was really craving a great salad, so I decided to go in. At first you walk up and order, and then the clerk at the front, like all other places turns the screen around and says "One last question", and then stares at you, while you read their 3 tipping options. So you're standing there, guilted into tipping, by an individual that only pressed a couple of buttons, only to have the kitchen get your order wrong. At an establishment like this, it would be nice if you could tip at the end, after the whole experience, instead of out of obligation at the beginning, because you have an individual begging for it. Anyways. So after I ordered I waited, only to get a $20 salad that had 4 small pieces of chicken and with the Miso dressing which I didn't order. I ordered the Lemon Avocado Vinaigrette which came with no snap peas, when I ordered extra. Then when I finally was able to flag someone down and tell them what had happened, she said "Ok" and went back and got a bowl of snap peas. No "I'm sorry" or "Let us remake it" I wouldn't have had them remake it because I hate wasting food.....but what I hate more is feeling like crap, undervalued and unappreciated. Where was the customer service? If you want a great salad, go here......but don't expect to get what you ordered, after you've been strong armed into tipping, and when you bring it up, expect an eye roll like you're inconveniencing them. I think I'll be taking all my Rollingwood women's group friends, to the new spot for a try......Sweet Green in the HEB parking lot.....or I'll go into HEB and buy a whole rotisserie chicken for $6 and a bag of salad for another $4 and go enjoy two salads at home. For such a casual place, y'all sure act uppity, entitled and as if, you're serving Grey Poupn on top of a Grade A slab of Prime Rib.

The restaurant is open, good seating, the display of pizza in the case is very appealing and appetizing. Its decor is well done. The pizza has fresh ingredients and tastes great. Crust is perfect. The lasagna was good but I would rather stick with the pizza. Just my taste. I did have the cannolis and compliments to them- they were authentic. Creamy, crispy shell, and the pistachio and chocolate chips were very good. My favorite. I suppose my only complaint was the pizza and lasagna were a little cool. It should have been a little warmer. The other issue which I hope they take note and move right away is the trash for plates and silverware. It is directly next to the fresh silverware and takeout boxes. That caught my attention and it's not a good place for the trash. Definitely plan to come back, it is worth coming and trying all the food items they have. Next time I might try one of the hot sandwiches and maybe some gelato but definitely the cannoli. That is the make or break for this NY Italian. Thanks for coming to the Domain. As an unapologetic East Coast pizza snob, I usually approach Texas pizza with a massive amount of…read moreskepticism. I've spent my life chasing the perfect crust, comparing everything from the legendary pie shops in Manhattan to the pristine corner slices in Pittsburgh. I didn't think Austin could pull off truly authentic pizza. I was dead wrong. Baldinucci is absolute sorcery. The moment I took a bite of their Roman-style pizza, I was instantly thrown back to the tiny, narrow pizzerias I stumbled into in Italy. It has that exact, hyper-specific airy crunch that is so incredibly hard to replicate outside of Europe. The dough is clearly fermented with patience. It's light, shatteringly crisp on the bottom, and has those beautiful, irregular air pockets that give it a pillowy structure without ever feeling heavy. Let's talk about the sauce, because that's where most places fail. It isn't that sugary, paste-heavy stuff you find at standard joints. It is vibrant, bright, and tastes intensely of sun-ripened tomatoes and clean olive oil. It is remarkably fresco; striking that perfect balance where the acidity cuts through the richness of the cheese without overwhelming the palate. The vibe inside the West Lake spot is casual and unpretentious, but they take their craft seriously. Food service is streamlined and efficient; you order at the counter, and they pop the slices back into the oven so they land at your table screaming hot. The staff is genuinely proud of what they're slinging, and they should be. If you are an East Coast transplant drowning in a sea of mediocre pies, do yourself a favor and get over to West Lake. It's the real deal. PS: The gelato flavors are also sorcery. However, a review of their gelato is for another time. I must continue to savor the pie for now.
