I looked around for a 4-top since my daughter has special needs and I need to help her eat. I didn't see any in that dining area, so I looked around for the woman who I didn't see either. A waiter walked up to The table next to us and looked at me looking lost, and I said, "we need some help." He kind of stared at me for a second then turned around to his table. So I picked up the menus and silverware and walked into the next dining room where some folks were sitting and there were tables. One employee looked confused at what I was doing there and I explained my issue, at which point she told me that that area was closed and we couldn't sit there and there was nothing available. So the woman who disappeared re-appeared, reiterated that we couldn't sit there, and so I told her I guessed we could sit outside, even though it was 95 degrees. She brought out chips and salsa and then we just sat there. And sat there. And sat there. No one came to ask for drinks and at this point I was fuming. I left my daughter at the table and went inside to find someone and I swear there were 5 people standing there, including the waiter who turned away from me, just looking at me. No one asked what I needed or if they could help me. (I had decided to leave before I did this, but my daughter wanted to stay.) Finally a guy who clearly just arrived there asked what I needed and I told him we'd been sitting outside for a long time without any service, and at exactly that time someone finally walked up to our table. I told the new guy at the host stand that our experience was really sucking. The waiter who came was friendly but scarce, and we got the spoon I asked for so my daughter could manage her own rice once we had finished the meal. We then waited a very long time for our check and I had to explain to my daughter over and over that we couldn't leave til we paid the bill. When I did, I had the options of selecting a 20, 25 or 28 percent tip, which I found ludicrous given the absolute epic lack of service. I think it may be the worst I've ever had. Not sure about training and culture there, but it was an amazing example from start to finish of an entire staff who had perfected mediocrity and ambivalence.

The chicken strawberry salad was very good except for the chicken. I thought a restaurant like this would know that a salad with bright acids shouldn't be mixed with fatty, lumpy chunks of dark meat. Apparently they use a rotisserie chicken that's stripped by a machine - then they just grab a handful of whatever comes out and throw it on the salad. For the cooks it's easy to remember - if it's slathered in sauce use dark meat, otherwise use breast meat. Service was attentive and the outside patio was nice.

We both had one of the original beef empanadas, and he also ordered the chicken. They are served with a homemade chimichurri sauce, which is absolutely amazing! The empanadas are delicious, they are so fresh, so flavorful, definitely worth the drive. They do serve them individually for $6.50 each which I find a bit high, I wish they had a three pack or a six pack you could get at a bit of a reduced price because it feels crazy spending $13 on two empanadas with nothing else. We also ordered some of the sandwiches that they are known for and have won awards for. My husband went with the beef milanesa which is lightly breaded and served on their toasted bread, which again is the most amazing bread ever! I got the Lomito which is a slow cooked beef steak, simply served with chimichurri sauce on the toasted bread. I can't lie, I could see why it won an award. It was so good, tender, juicy, all of it! I got the half sandwich which came with fries and was $18. I wish I would've just spent a few extra dollars for the whole sandwich. The staff is really friendly and the restaurant is set up with some big green TVs by the bar as well as an outdoor dining area. Definitely massive flavor packed food you must try!

They were fresh, light, and packed with amazing taste. I ended up eating the whole thing right away because they were just that good. I also ordered the fried dill pickles, which are another personal favorite of mine. They were perfectly fried and full of flavor. One thing I've noticed every time I visit is that the restaurant is always busy, which says a lot. It's clear that many people love their Mediterranean menu, and after eating here multiple times, I completely understand why. Also the tomato was a colorless, flavorless cheap, giant basic tomato. No pretty grape tomatoes, or heirloom or anything. It was pricey. I brought it home to feed the deer. My daughter wanted fries and I was worried about how hot they'd be...no need! The place was so cold they chilled before we got them. And the space was nice; could do a nice happy hour there, except for the music. 80's rock. We ate in the freezing cold to "Final Countdown" and "Tom Sawyer". It was cold and a competition! I've worked in restaurants and to-go is getting business without the table work. It's easy. Well Kendall, I hope you have the time in service industry you deserve. We called for a very easy pick up order with a simple protein substitution, a protein they offer in many dishes.
