Great place to hold an outdoor graduation. Plenty of parking, beautiful grounds & clean stadium seating. Easily accessible off of the RKF bridge, 13mins from our side of the Bronx. There is plenty of signage directing people to the stadium and the different entrances.

Once you've arrived, this is a great stadium with a fantastic staff and plenty of parking, bus route and City Bike dock We had our graduating class ceremony here at the end of the pandemic and the group was handled beautiful. Field is well manicured and the blue plastic stadium type seats are comfortable. There are tons of birds in the eves above that you can't see but they are pretty vocal.. I would create some feature to keep them out and prevent droppings on the seats below, which we needed to prep for our families. Morning gets full shade and by afternoon the sun is straight on the racetrack type bandstand seating. Keep that in mind.

Really nice state of the art stadium for track and field events. Icahn Stadium is a terrific venue for hosting local, national and international track and field events, including Olympic training and trials. I have been here and it offers wonderful views in a spacious setting. There is a standard 400-meter Mondo surface running track, with covered seating with and views of the East River and Manhattan skyline. Easy to get to as it is part of the Randall's Island sports group.

Mighty Milers honoring all the boroughs of NYC. Manhattan, Queens, Bronx and of course Brooklyn. Wait wasn't there a fifth?

Came here recently for a field trip and my students had a blast. Icahn Stadium can host track and field related events. We came on National Running day for a trip hosted by the Mighty Milers program. The kids got to run around the track several times and then partook in some fun activities set up all around. I got to check them setting up for Governors ball for this weekend too. The state of the art stadium isn't large but gets the job done for its purpose. Clean, sleek and looks brand new.

Incredible spacious stadium fantastic for a large track event. We were there for a championship track event and the bleachers were pretty packed but the seating and flow of everything was still comfortable despite the large number of people. The stadium and seats are well maintained, in good condition. Amazing views of the track wherever you sit, as well as a background view of upper manhattan. They have restrooms with ample stalls, concession stands and a barbecue where they grill hamburgers and hot dogs. Security and employees directing people were friendly and helpful.

    Cute name!

I've been here several times to see my nephew run in track meets. The stadium is great for hosting track meets. The grounds are well-maintained, and the stands are kept clean. It also helps that the seats are reasonably comfortable. Since it is an outdoor stadium, you will be subject to the elements. I've sat through cold days in March, and during my last visit, the meet was postponed due to overly-hot temperatures. The concession stand is pretty good, and the prices are very cheap when compared to other sports venues. Compared to Madison Square Garden or Yankee Stadium, the concession prices are practically a steal. There is free parking. Recently, there has been some construction, which has cut the number of parking spaces. I don't know how much longer the construction will last, but it is, hopefully, a temporary situation. Unfortunately, the stadium is close to the sewage treatment plant, and, depending on where the wind blows, it can stink, especially on hot days. While unpleasant, the smell isn't too bad (I've smelled worse in NYC), and it usually dissipates in 15 minutes or so.

One of the best parts of the event was how they introduced the elite runners. They turned the lights off in the arena, announced each athlete individually, and they ran out onto the track with sparks shooting up. That whole presentation was fire and really made the moment feel special for the athletes and the crowd. The atmosphere was great and you could feel the excitement in the building. My only complaint is about some of the staff (not all). I had been sitting in a section for over four hours after being told by one worker that it was fine to sit there. Later on, a few other workers came over and told me I had to move. It wasn't even the request that bothered me--it was the way it was delivered. When you're dealing with adults, especially paying guests who've been there for hours, it's all about how you communicate. At one point it felt like they were all teaming up like Voltron instead of just getting a supervisor to clear things up. Situations like that can easily be avoided with better customer service and communication. Needless to say I didn't go anywhere until my daughter ran off the principal. Aside from that situation, the event itself was great. The competition, the energy in the building, and the way they highlight the elite athletes made it a really memorable experience.

The warmup area is way too small, so from the athlete's perspective, that made it very hard to prepare for the race. I ended up running laps outside with my athlete to get her warmed up, which many others were doing, so even that was hard. I get space is limited in NYC, but with 3 floors, they could have done a better job providing space for the athletes to prepare for their race. My runner lived the track itself, it was a great track.

Queens, NY (Flushing Meadows-Corona Park) - watching the Mets can be an exercise in masochism (or…read moreso I'm told), but as a non-sportsball person who has the charm of often being on the side of winning teams and cities where I attend the occasional game, the way how some lucky sumofabitch who's never stepped foot inside a casino hits the jackpot on the first try, I was thrilled to witness the Mets triumph over the Atlanta Braves on 7/9/26. This is not the first time I've been to Citi Field but it's been several years. And the first thing I noticed - as a wandering foodie who uses boring innings as an opportunity to hunt down the best eats - was that the concession game has leveled up considerably. In addition to typical stadium fare such as Italian sausage and chicken tenders with fries, you've got more premium vendors like Pat LaFrieda, Fuku, Seoul Bird, Pig Beach BBQ, Chef Kwame's Patty Palace (that's chef Kwame Onwuachi, whose hot Lincoln Center property Tatiana is *still* an impossible reservation to snag), and of course, the ubiquitous Shake Shack. I came on a company outing, and was pleased to discover that the food & beverage credit loaded onto our accounts was easy to use, and simply required scanning the ticket barcode on the MLB app. It's a beautiful park with good sightlines, and fun to walk around the concourse browsing shops and official Mets merch, and if you're me, food sampling your way around the stadium. I can't speak to the parking experience since I took public transit, but Citi Field is conveniently located right by the Mets-Willets Point stop on the 7 train or by LIRR (a quick trip from Penn Station). To avoid crowds, long lines, and jammed trains, I recommend playing hooky to catch a weekday game for the most pleasant and relaxed experience. Bottom line: this is a great outing with friends, family, or out-of-town visitors. You don't need to know what RBI stands for to enjoy this time-honored American tradition of watching grown men chase a ball, belting your heart out during the seventh inning stretch, and drinking overpriced concession stand beers.

The sausage and peppers was a lot of bread so the ratio of bread to sausage was slightly off. A frozen strawberry lemonade ice was perfect on a sunny summer day. This is what summer time is all about.

Unless you know about it, you can easily walk by, given it blends into the general Harlem cityscape, especially during the day. Then at night, especially during the afterhours when I was there, the scene flips and this place becomes turnt up! People were lined up trying to get inside at 0130. The bouncers were searching and patting people down, nothing absurd or overly intrusive. There is a cover charge and they take credit cards for the cover. As you walk inside, the bar in on your right. Keep going and the dancefloor awaits you. It's not that large, but people are generally very courteous. There are a few places to sit, especially in the back in the left corner. That is also where the steps lead you downstairs, presumably to the restroom, which I did not have to use. The vibe is poppin' inside and it is fed by the DJ on a stage in the back, playing Worldbeats, Afropop, Afrobeats, Reggae, Dance Hall, and Soca. They are setup for live bands here. The volume is high, but not uncomfortably or earsplittingly high. The people here are drawn to this vibe and energy. You can dance here all night and the air conditioning and ventilation are of the capacity to keep you and everyone else comfortable. Stick around until closing time at 0400 when everyone starts walking out and the AC nearly turns the Shrine into a refrigerator. For an unassuming place on the outside, it is clear this is a place you can come to with friends or a date if this is your vibe and it's hard to imagine anyone not enjoying this. Prices are reasonable too at the bar. They have a good selection of draught and bottled beer. Guinness on tap was $9 for a pint. They serve up the cocktails too. Four fun and returnworthy stars!
