Place is great! Also very packed with no reservations so show up and get your name on the list asap! Had the banana pancakes and they were incredible. They have cottage cheese in them which I have now taken the recipe for myself at home because it was so delicious. Also had beef bacon which I've never had before but was great as well! My friend had the grand slam which was a mixture of pancakes chicken and bacon. The vibe there is cool and the staff was extremely friendly. I will definitely be back upon visiting Montreal again.

Finally got a chance to try after coming once and being told it would be a 45 min wait. Inside the small and crammed with seating. Despite this, service was impeccable. Staff came by to checkup on you occasionally, plates were taken out of your way moments after you're done with the food. Arthur's sando - a thick chicken snitzel in their challah? bread. Inside there was a good amount of sauce, vegetables and pickles to compliment the chicken. Would get again. Jack Johnson - some thiccc pancakes. Bananas caramelized perfectly on the outside. Inside, had bits of cottage cheese to add a certain creaminess to the flavour. Syrup around the pancake was the perfect amount. This is quite heavy, but absolutely great to try! Also tried their London fog and iced tea (no sugar) both had an interesting twist on the drink, so nice to try.

Visit: 3/2022 Review finished: 3/2024 Unfortunately I am attempting to finish this review in 2024, long after visiting this establishment so I do not recall my visit here in detail besides giving it 5/5 stars. I found some pics/vids from that visit and it looks like I ordered the McArthurs, the chicken sandwich schnitzel. I must have loved it. Also tried the chocolate chip pancakes and the bagel with lox. To drink, I either had an iced latte with or without khalua/baileys. I also remember the spot was packed and we didn't have reservations. There was a bit of a wait but we went nearby to get coffee in the meantime. So in my very trusted book of ratings, I absolutely enjoyed this spot and the food was amazing. So I'll be back and do a better job reviewing next time.

Saw this place recommended by a couple of youtubers so we went to check it out! An aesthetic looking restaurant for brunch food. We went to the Le Cathcart location which probably has a shorter wait than their original location. We didn't make reservations and waited about 10-15 minutes. There's plenty of seating, but they limit the number of customers because there's not enough staff. We got the latke smorgasbord ($19). Great spread of breakfast food. The eggs were the highlight (and recommended by the server) - creamy and thick. Nothing like eggs I've ever had and worth a try. Latke was crispy on the outside and tasted real good with the smoked salmon which is always solid. I really enjoyed the cucumbers that were sprinkled with a hint of dil, making it even more refreshing and helped to cleanse the palate. We also ordered the syrniki ($18), which are cottage cheese pancakes. Surprisingly not that heavy on the stomach and very tasty. Pancakes itself were not overly sweet and fluffier than your average. There was sprinkles of salt over it but surprisingly not as weird as I expected and actually balanced out the sweetness of everything else. I was most impressed by how smooth and clean the maple syrup tasted. It had no artificial taste and is less viscous. Definitely a must-order here, worth it to share too. 2 is definitely enough to fill you up and a bit more! Would say it's probably one of the better brunch spots I've been to, albeit a bit pricy (but what isn't nowadays). A lot of seating but service can be quite slow. Great place to chat and chill.

Decided to check this place out as it was trending and heard lots of great reviews. Came here on a weekday for brunch with a couple of friends. We came early around 11 am and there was a bit of a line but well worth it! The food is a bit on the pricey side, upper end of $20 but well worth it. The food is unique and tasty and doesn't leave you feeling heavy. The atmosphere is also lovely with lots of great decor and great opportunities for photo ops. Highly recommend

A truly delicious brunch! Loved the cottage cheese pancakes (Syrniki) and the latke smorgasbord.

Been following this restaurant on Instagram since planning my trip to Montreal from LA. The blueberry pancakes looked unbelievable and I was hoping to try but alas, blueberry season ended the day before I arrived. The "plain" version did not disappoint- light and airy, cheesy, dusted with salt and bathed in the best maple syrup Canada has to offer! The Beef Bacon was less Bacon, more beef flavored and I could have eaten more more more! The Matzo Ball soup with fresh dill was just like my mom used to make- they need a bigger bowl!! So many other dishes I want to try- latkes, chicken schnitzel...next trip for sure! Congrats Reagan - Arthur would be so proud!! PS- Challah (french toast) was divine!

Came down Montreal with 4 other ladies for a bachelorette, and wanted to try this brunch place that seemed very popular. I went to spin class that morning and came super hungry. It was around 10:30am when I met with the other ladies and we were on the waiting list. Got in within 20-25 minutes. Cute vibes and IG pic worthy, but the store itself is very small, best for groups 2-4 ppl max. We were seated in a 4 person table with a chair on the side, whereas another group of 5 got the table for 6 right after us. The menu isn't overly extensive, but we did some research and knew just what we wanted. I ordered myself the latke smorgasbord. Food probably took 20 minutes to make, but with great company, and chatting away, it didn't seem too long before the food arrive. My dish was so nicely presented, it looked too pretty to eat, but as I said, I came hungry, I dugged right in. It came with latke (fried potato pancake), cucumber salad, soft scrambled egg, smoked salmon and toasted challah bread. Everything complemented each other so well. I was able to finish the plate without feeling too heavy or too full. Just the right amount. I got to try a bite of my friends moroccan toast (they only serve it on weekends) and it was mind blowing! It was like having tacos on toast without any of the Mexican spices. Would come back in a heart beat.

Always busy place, we were lucky to get a table for 2 pretty quick on a Wednesday at lunch time. The menu is not the brunch menu but covers all the bases. We had Avo Toast and Breakfast Sandwich, both delicious and a fun vibe. Great service too.

This is the third time we have been to Arthur's and we live in Central Florida and took my mom she loved it. We had to park at the IGA 4 blocks away because we didn't know the way there that well and tons of construction (and hey IGA don't get excited, we shopped afterwards and normally wouldn't so there is that)! A :15 wait, not a :20 like the lovely lady said that took our name. We sat on a bench outside the restaurant and it was nice in the sun. Would hate to wait on a rainy day! If it is raining, bring a large umbrella and patience! Inside a few black and photos adorn the walls and music, well, I don't remember? We were seated in the corner next to the kitchen and the food was out within :15. It was hot, fresh and reasonable with how busy they were. The cottage cheese pancakes with maple syrup seems thicker than last time but man OH man are they are delicious ! The scrambled eggs, onions, sour cream, salsa and guacamole is good but I would say putting cold ingredients on top of warm cools them off toot-sweet! Eat it fast or yuck Go, enjoy a nosh or two at Arthur's!!!!

    Grand slam

Hands down most satisfying chicken & pancakes I have EVER had. Arthur's is my favourite brunch place in Montreal. Yes it's chaotic and it's always crowded. But they let you leave your name and number and just text you when your table is ready. We usually walk around the neighborhood and grab coffee while waiting. 100% would recommend the grand slam when you go. The chicken is cooked to perfection and the pancakes are sooo fluffy.

    Gladys C.

They don't take reservations, so we came around 11am on Saturday and there were quite a few people waiting outside. We told the hostess our name/number and she told us it would be 1 hr to 1.5 hrs wait. Luckily, they text you when the table is ready so you can grab a coffee and come back. The wait ended up being about an hour, which wasn't terrible. The restaurant was packed to the brim and the tables for 2 are pretty small and squished close with the table beside us. There was a brunch dish with fried chicken on pancakes with an egg, and it was so darn tasty! The pancakes are dense and eggy, so it was different but still really good. The other dish we got was a poached egg, smoked salmon, and avocado on a latke (potato pancake) with a side of arugula. I found this to be alright, nothing special and the portion was a bit small for this dish. Overall, we enjoyed our brunch, but one of the dishes left something to be desired.

My favourite brunch spot in Montreal! Their cottage cheese pancakes are to die for, topped with blueberries is the perfect combo. Our server was really nice and the patio outside is perfect on a sunny day.

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. I would absolutely love to come back!!
