The consistent very low rating is warranted with this company. I reached out for an appliance issue, spoke to whom I *think* was the owner and was told a tech would call me back, which didn't happen. Several days, maybe a week, later I called back and spoke to the owner again. He asked me to text him my address and he'd have a tech local to me call me and come take a look at the issue I was having. Several more days passed with no call, no follow up... nothing. I contacted Mr Cool, who lists Artic Appliance as an authorized servicer of their units and explained the situation and the very low ratings of the business, which they were unaware of. Do not use this company. I have been dealing with for months through my warranty company and they still haven't fixed my dishwasher. They missed two appointments with me and didn't offer any reason to why. The assistant hung up on me for questioning why they didn't show up and the phone call went through to the owner Carrie, she was very dismissive and rude. Do not waste your money or time. OH BOY. I've never felt the need to create an account. Just to write a review. However. This company takes the cake. If I could give this company negative stars, I would. Highly unprofessional, Person who came in smelled, was unkempt, and dirty. I've been trying to get a repair done for over 6 months now and they can't even give a call back. First time they arrived said something was broken, they will come back later with the piece. OKAY. Wait another 2 months they show up with the wrong piece to replace with and charge me money everytime I call them out there. We bought a new double oven a few months ago as our old one gave up the ghost. The employees from Artic installed it perfectly and we really enjoy it. A little while ago I called them again to fix a broken part in our refrigerator (about 10-15 years old). They had a problem finding the correct part which had been discontinued but kept checking. They finally found it out of state and came by and fixed it. They went above and beyond to find the broken part (the glass shelf above the crisper / veggie trays) and installed it. We've had two very terrible experiences with Artic Appliance through our home warranty. Both have left us with a sour taste in our mouth. One for our refrigerator and one for our clothes washer. Long story short, if you have a home warranty, call your home warranty company to make a claim and specifically ask for anyone else. I have no idea if they are good if you use them outside of a home warranty company, but based on their performance I'd never suggest or use them ever. The two different technicians who came to our house for our fridge (father and son) were both nice and semi-professional (son was 100% professional father, was "old school" and not quite up to snuff on being professional). He suggested we contact them directly, they are a small, family run, local business, I totally get that. But what they don't seem to understand with a home warranty is we already pay for a service. We make a claim, pay a service fee and the rest is covered so long as the appliance and malfunction is covered. Is an appliance company really going to do nearly any work and replace nearly any part for $75, flat fee? Doubt it, no business can live for long under that model. Who ever deals with the scheduling, calling, finding parts, submitting reports (pretty sure she's the owner) completely lacks any professionalism, customer service skills and is not proactive with anything she does. After around 8-9 months of dealing with them with our fridge and thankfully only 3 weeks for our washer I know that she has no clue how to handle warranty requests or deal with people in general. She's a prime example of the exact reason why 80% of businesses fail. They should just stop accepting any warranty requests at all and I'm very surprised they have been in business for almost 5 years so far (https://www.sos.wa.gov/corps/business.aspx?ubi=604155007). When the father showed up for our fridge, the 2nd time from my recollection, he stated they were having issues with the warranty company and where going to stop doing warranty work. This was months into them working on repairing our refrigerator and many months before our situation was resolved. If they are accepting home warranty claims to help build up business they are going about it completely wrong and there is zero chance I will ever use or recommend Artic Appliance. The father and son could really do themselves a favor and go work for a large appliance repair company and tell the owner of Artic Appliance to pound sand. With both of our dealings we submitted our claim with the home warranty company and never heard anything, we had to initiate communication. You're supposed to hear from the company the home warranty company contract with, by the next business day. This simply will not happen with Artic Appliance. Once they are actually working on your claim you can expect that any call from your known phone number(s) will go to voicemail. Do not expect a call back, it simply will not happen. You will have to call the home warranty company ask for status and they will call Artic and finally get them on the line to find out the details. They WILL NOT notify you when the technician is on their way, even though most companies do this today. They will rarely show up on time. If the window is 10-12, expect them around 12 or later. The office manager or what ever she is, will not submit the report they need to to get work rolling to the home warranty company on a timely basis and will 100% feed both you and the home warranty company a complete lie about looking for parts when they are not even supposed to do that until they have submitted a report to the home warranty company to get approval to do the work. Again, long story short. Our fridge needed to be replaced because the part that needed to be replaced was no longer available, this took 8-9 months to figure out. We never heard from Artic Appliance this was the case and had to call the home warranty company to find this out to get a check to purchase a new fridge. Our washer could have been repaired in a week vs 3 weeks if they had 1) called us within that 24 hour window 2) submitted a report to the home warranty company that day or next morning instead of nearly a week later after we called the home warrant company to get a status (after not getting through to Artic Appliance) and then the home warranty company got ahold of them said they were submitting a report by end of day (they didn't) and they were calling us after that (they didn't). We called them the following day, left a message, finally the report was submitted and work could start. DO NOT USE ARTIC APPLIANCE IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME, ENERGY, MONEY. LITERALLY ANYONE ELSE WILL DO BETTER. read more
