What's most concerning is that the technician physically showed me the panel during the diagnostic, so I was able to verify exactly what part was needed and how simple the replacement is. This felt far less like a repair estimate and far more like an attempt to take advantage of a homeowner who doesn't know they can order the part themselves. I understand companies need to make money. If I could give zero stars, I would. This company is an absolute nightmare. When I called to speak to them about their broken appliances, the person answering promised a manager would call me back. An hour went by with no call. When I tried calling back from my own phone, my number was blocked. I had to call from my wife's phone for the call to go through. Even when I confronted them about how unprofessional it was to block my number, promise a manager call, and then act clueless, they hung up on me. Now, when I try calling back, they don't even answer. If this is how they operate in the office, it's no wonder the technicians they send out can't communicate or understand anything. For two months now, our dishwasher hasn't drained. I'm not a technician, but I tried troubleshooting -- even disconnected the hose line -- and nothing worked. Every time we wash dishes, water backs up into the dishwasher and just sits there. The technician they sent couldn't understand a word I was saying, stayed silent the whole time, and didn't try to explain anything. He just pointed at random things and left without fixing anything. The washer was even worse. When it started making loud noises, I unplugged it and opened the front panel to see what was going on. Inside, I found a heavy black piece broken, with the screws snapped off. How is that "misuse"? It's a clear mechanical failure. But instead of fixing it, the technician ignored what I explained, did nothing, and then we were told we "misused" or "neglected" the appliance. That is insulting. This company sends out people who can't communicate, don't listen, stay silent, and have no interest in resolving anything. They waste your time, leave you with broken appliances, and then blame the customer. Completely unprofessional, unqualified, and a total waste of money. Do yourself a favor: stay far away. The technician can to look at my dryer and gave a very high quote and false info that I need to replace few parts which he will be providing me. I looked up those parts and they come for hardly $20-30, and he was quoting me $100 for those exact same parts from exact same company, even after showing him that I was getting them for less, his argument was they will give me 3 months of warranty. After that he started saying but your dryer is pretty old(it's 3yrs old dryer) so anything else also can break. Another handyman came and fixed the dryer for less than $50 without replacing any parts. This was very absurd experience. He just wanted loot money by giving false quotes and information. An outstanding serviceman from Appliance ER named Roman serviced our refrigerator yesterday. He arrived onetime, was efficient, explained the problem after checking the condenser and the compressor. He also checked the internal temperature of the refrigerator and freezer and explained we probably had a little time before the compressor goes out completely, but will need a new refrigerator before too long. Called out Appliance ER to diagnose the spin issue with my washer. They came out promptly (same day) determined that the dampers were the issue. Gave me a cost to repair that was well beyond my budget and they fully understood. Would be cheaper to purchase a new machine. But with this knowledge, and quick google search and some YouTube videos I was able to replace these dampers for less than $50 doing it myself. I think Appliance ER's diagnostic fee ($110) added value, and with a little additional work I was able to fix the issue myself. read more

I was told that I needed a control panel on our one year old LG microwave and it would cost $490 as this was November 18th I needed assurance that it would be repaired by Thanksgiving. I was told that the part would be in 3 - 5 days and it would be repaired as soon as the part arrived. We did not hear anything for a week and have called several times regarding the status. We were always told that we would be called back but that did not happen, we would have to continue to call them again. We are without the microwave for the large family dinner tomorrow and when I requested the refund of our deposit it was the usual answer of 3 - 5 days to process which I have little confidence in what they say at this point. read more

It was not in fact the drain pump at all which he was so positive it was. It ended up being a loose wire issue. It took the tech from the other company 30 minutes to fix. The tech was surprised the first guy couldn't see the wire hanging there when he had taken the back off the washer. I am glad I did not spend the money on parts that I didn't even need. read more

This technician came to my house to diagnose my Dryer. I showed him my dryer and I turned it on so he can hear the noise that it was making. I left him in the laundry room and he started to open up the housing of the dryer to inspect. After a while he came out and told me that to repair and do maintenance on the machine that it would cost $450. I asked what was making the noise and he responded that he does not know. So it made me wonder how he knew how much it would cost to repair if he does not know what was causing the issue. I then told him that we do not need the machine fixed and we would rather purchase a new dryer. I was prepared to eat and pay the flat call out fee of $70 and be done with the issue. I left the laundry as he started to close up and put the machine back together. After a while he was done and came to get me and for some reason the noise went away, maybe something was lodge and was making the noise and when it was opened got freed. But now he was asking $400 since he said the noise went away. I told him that I had informed him that we did not want to get the machine repaired anymore and he basically just did a diagnostic and visual analysis and I would not pay him what he was asking for. He tried to barter a lower price saying that since he had to open the machine and all, and I said yeah you opened it in order to do your diagnostic and should be only paying the $70 call out fee. I eventually payed him $150 plus taxes just to get this over with. This guy is really shady and is out to rip people off. read more

Very unhappy and would never use this company again. If you have an issue they are real good at not answering their phone. We had scheduled an appointment for a tech to come out and fix our stove. He arrived on time and said he had to order a part. We paid for the service and $100 down for the part. Three weeks later still no part and no oven working so we had to call another company to come out and pay for another service call and another part order. The tech from the new company confirmed that the tech from Appliance ER had ordered the wrong part, which by the way, still has not arrived weeks later. We asked for our money back just for the part but now they are ghosting us. We tried to dispute through our credit card but they said Appliance ER said we never cancelled the part order so they won the dispute. Kind of hard to cancel the part order when they screen your call and won't answer. Then it rings and they hang it up. Very shady company and basically stole our money. This was excellent service. Although there was a bit of a language problem, the technician put the home office on the line when he identified the problem and we were able to communicate and complete the transaction with no problems. This company took a look at one of our GE ovens. They diagnosed an igniter failure. Despite the fact that the igniter had been replaced within a month, I was willing to believe this. $380 was the quoted price. A factory original igniter is $50 max and takes an hour or less to replace. This means they think their technicians are worth over $300 an hour. Lawyers don't cost that much. read more

I live in Kitsap County, WA. Don't waste your time - use a more reputable company for appliance repair! These guys are total scam artists. I had a washing machine that would not drain due to clog. The guy came out and opened up the machine and then insisted that he sees this all the time and that the machine needed new shocks. This cost more than $400. They told me that the "guarantee their work" and will give me a refund less the call out fee if it doesn't work. I had to wait more than a week for the parts to come in, the same guy came back and replaced the shocks. The machine still did not work. I told him that it was a clog and he acted like it was the first time he was hearing this. Sure enough there was a clog. He cleaned out the line within the washing machine. The machine worked, but then had a weird noise. Then after 2 weeks the machine did not work again. The same guy came back out. There is no clog in the machine this time even though I'm getting the same error code. He tells me for another $50 he can replace the pump because he is sure this is the problem. I tell him no. I tell him that I am not happy that I got charged over $400 for parts that I did not need and my problem is not solved. The owner then tells me that they will install this new pump and waive the $50. I get to thinking and realize that if there was a clog in the machine and it did ok for a couple of weeks, it is possible that there was more of a clog that moved further down the water line. I then called a plumber out and they snaked the line all the way out to the sewer. The plumber said that he felt something at about 8 feet out. That cost me over $500. At this point Appliance ER owes me money back. I texted the owner as such and he just ghosted me. I bought a new washing machine. Problem is now solved. Appliance ER sucks! read more
