    American breakfast platter
    Lindsey M.

Came in before 7am from a red eye flight. For our first meal we went simple, hotel restaurant. Why not? We walked to the podium, there was a QR code to look at the menu. There were no prices, but there wasn't a huge urge to go somewhere else at the moment. The host was busy, so we waited at the podium for a few minutes. We were sat right next to the entrance of the kitchen when there were tons of tables open. I don't know why. It was a dirty table and had coffee spills dried on it. We were too tired to fight it. We both ordered a regular American Breakfast plate each. Plus coffee and fresh orange juice. I was impressed with the portions and the orange juice. I couldn't even eat the toast nor finish my scrambled eggs. My orange slice tasted like I was eating an onion. But it was exactly what I was looking for and nothing went to waste. And luckily it didn't because we were charged over $50 for breakfast. Besides the sticker shock, the dirty table, and the poor seating, we had an okay time there. Once we got our food, we never were asked about additional beverages. Also, docking a star because we were not asked about our room number so we never got the "perk" of $10 off each guest when we were charged $20/night for the destination fee we were unaware of. I emailed Hyatt's contact and never heard back from them.

    Flourless chocolate cake

The restaurant is located in the Hyatt. I was staying at this hotel so I decided to not go far for dinner. It was Valentine's Day and they had what looked like a really nice special for a dinner for two. However, it just happened to be me. I asked the waitress which was better, as I was torn between the salmon and chicken. She recommended the chicken. It came with carrots, pearl onions, and lentils. The vegetables were a little too undercooked for me but, the chicken was cooked well and came in a honey glaze sauce that had just a little sweet spice. Since it was Valentine's Day, I figured I would treat myself with dessert. I ordered the flourless chocolate cake. Oh my goodness, the cake was the most decadent piece of greatness I had! I highly recommend it if you are looking for a dessert. I would say the only downside was the service. There were only two waitresses on a fairly busy evening so the wait was a bit longer than I would have liked for ordering and then getting my bill.

A1 Burger w/Fries and Brussell Sprouts.
    William D.

I was expecting a typical hotel burger and fries. However, it was far from my expectations. I ordered the A1 Burger with fries and an order of roasted brussell sprouts. The burger was prepared exactly as requested, medium. It was flavorful and came open face in case you want to remove anything. The fries were so good and hot. But, but, but...the star of the show was the roasted brussell sprouts. I told everyone about them. They even inspired me to Yelp. Give them a try.

    Seafood pasta

Signature Seafood Pasta was delicious. Good amount of shrimp and crab. It was fresh and the portion was big. Worth the price. The pasta actually tasted better a few hours later.

This is located inside of the Hyatt hotel. It was busy and noisy inside, so if you're looking for somewhere quiet and romantic, this may not be it. There are tvs in the bar area and then a normal dining area. The servers were so friendly and attentive. The food was amazing! We tried the fried chicken thighs, seafood pasta, Brussels sprouts and a burger. I would def return!

I stayed at this hotel over the weekend and had amazing food every single night. One of the servers daughters went into labor while she was attending us and it was such a beautiful experience because she was so friendly and attentive while answering calls from her daughter checking up on her. It was so beautiful for her to share that with us and we appreciate her even being there. She went above and beyond making sure everything was correct and we all had complicated orders. We also required separate checks because we had to provide receipts to our sponsors individually so that would affect her gratuity, but she didn't mind. We appreciate her being so kind to us and being able to accommodate us during that busy time. The food was 10 out of 10 and I ate it every single night I was there. I'll definitely be back.

The restaurant leaves you wishing you ate some place else. Food is mediocre and I can not say that it is worth the money. It is convenient-yes. You can have a breakfast buffet for 26$!!!. This restaurant needs flavor and not sell blunt food. Overpriced in my opinion. Dinner staff has no clue whats going on.

    Carolyn E.

Due to a limited menu, they're currently taking orders through the bar instead of full service. I had a grass fed burger with fries. All meals are packed to go, so I brought dinner back to my room. My burger was cooked medium rare to order, toppings included were more than enough, and the serving of fries was very generous.

Article One - American Grill in DC is a great place to go for delicious food that is well prepared. I really like the location and atmosphere that they have available here. I have been impressed with all of the meals that I have had from here each time.

Article One Pasta - Fresh Fettucine*
    José Antonio M.

On my visit to D.C I went to a lot of restaurants, but Article One stood out, I tried the Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp and Crab, and it was absolutely great, the flavors were great and the plate was enough for one or even two servings, the service was ok and the ambience was calm and enjoyable.

    Beyond burger. Delicious.

Thankfully we ended up at the Unconventional Diner and it was perfect for satisfying everyone in the group!! We were all able to get tasty drinks- from n/a Hibiscus Citrus lemonade, white wine, a cinnamon toast old fashioned (what? A cereal inspired old fashioned, yes please and it was fantastic!), and a Bourbon basil smash. Then the crew settled on some food-the waiter was patient with the questions and contemplation from the table (thank you!). We started with the SKILLET CORNBREAD with Habanero Honey Butter | Sea Salt (v) And that was melt in your mouth cornbread. Damn. Real cornbread seems hard to come by any more and this is the real deal. And the honey butter and flake sea salt-can't go wrong. I'm a spice weeny-for reals-and this was incredible. It's a MUST get. Across the table we had two of the double cheese burgers (I warned, we have a lack of adventurous eaters) -and they both said the burgers were the best they've had. I had the Philly French double dip, with horseradish cream and caramelized onions-so fantastic-the roast beef was melt in your mouth and the broth was the perfect saltiness. Our fourth got the fried chicken sandwich and really loved the dill pickle slaw that came with it, and the chicken was not over cooked and not raw-perfect! We all had fries with our meals, the thinner kind with light seasoning and none of us could stop eating them, even when we were clearly full, the fries just kept disappearing.

Well I do enjoy burgers and plenty of places have upped their burger game. As much as it cost for a burger at certain fast food places you might as well hit up some of these other places. The prices are basically the same now. On a few trips to Capital Grille I did go with the burger and so I decided to check out its affiliate Capital Burger. Capital Burger actually has more burger options to choose for over Capital Grille and a more slimmed down menu. Still with the name burger in its name, you know where their focus is. I went with the bacon cheeseburger that comes with candied smoke bacon that came at $22 with your chose of sides (fries or various salads). It was cooked to the perfect medium rare and you can tell when a burger is cooked with better ingredients and cooked with a give a damn. It was not thrown together, and the fries were not just sitting under a heating lamp. I actually ordered a to go burger for the spouse. Here is where customer service comes in. I was asked how far I had to travel and the person taking my order said she will separate portions so it will travel better. Thank you. It is that little extra that goes a long way. This time I went with the Capital Burger to go along with some key lime pie to nibble on later. Great service and great food. There are plenty of good burger places but if you are a burger fan then definitely check this place out. Absolutely no disappointment. For a true high end burger experience I have no problem giving this place a solid five stars.
