My go to place for a quick coffee in between. Their croissant and scones are nice but nothing special. However their coffee is pretty good. I love the rich caramel machiato from here. It's pretty good and they don't burn the almond milk which is great. My favorite summer drink from here is the Lychee Matcha with almond milk. A good place to work from. Very conveniently located across Robson square. The place gets busy but I have always found a seat. They have charging points and working stations which iz great. Parking can be a bit tricky. read more

Stopped in for a quick breakfast and grabbed an Egg & Cheese Croissant Sandwich and a Soy Latte. ​The highlight was definitely the croissant--it was perfectly flaky, and I really appreciated that they served it warm! It made all the difference in the texture. As for the soy latte, it was a solid, standard drink--nothing mind-blowing, but it hit the spot. ​Overall, a great place to fuel up for the morning. I came here for the 2024 Hot Chocolate Festival and Cafe Artigiano have two on rotation, S'morelicious Hot Chocolate and Chocolate Caliente. Although the Smore version had run out of it's pairing cookie, that's what I chose. The hot chocolate came to $9. I wasn't very impressed with it, the actual beverage itself had lingering spicey notes which made me think how could the two hot chocolates possibly be that different? This one was topped with marshmallow whip. The cafe itself has a few seats and I think it's the type of place that patrons treat like a library, order one drink, and get comfortable to sit in for a few hours. One of a corridor of cafes across from the art gallery. They have indoor seating as well as a small patio. The staff were nice, although probably not the most experienced. However, they answered our questions about some of the menu items and everything was ready quite quickly. The pastries are ok, but they could be fresher and warmed slightly. I'm not sure where they source their croissants, but I did like that the almond croissant had a decent amount of almond paste inside. The barista also added a design to my hot chocolate, which was a nice touch. The condiment bar has an assortment of sweeteners, including honey, raw sugar and sweetener. Prices are average and the place is not too crowded, but also not empty. A decent option. Would rate 3.5 stars. read more

There are always great coffee places throughout YVR ~ while this one is a chain, I actually really liked their drinks! Featuring a cafe latte and a Earl grey lavender latte... along with a strawberry I love that they still pull decent latte art on oat milk :) Croissant was amazing! Had an amazing Hot Chocolate. It was part of the hot chocolate festival. It had an amazing flavour and came with a donut!

I ordered a black coffee to go, so I don't have any fancy pictures of coffee to show you. The coffee itself was mehh....at best. It was the service that left a bad taste in my mouth (no pun intended.) I'm a Starbucks customer and have been since they opened their first store in Vancouver. For some bizarre reason that morning I felt like having something different. I remembered Artigiano being quality, tasty and trendy with their bright red cups and tasty coffee. That's what I wanted that morning. The girl who took my order was patronizing, impatient and dismissive. From the explanation of the cup sizes to the types of roasts they have, her energy, service and vibe belonged behind her bedroom door with some sort of chiller meds. I was really put off. She handed me a generic, cheap white cup of coffee with not even a forced smile and I was on my way. No uplifting vibe, no welcoming service, no tasteful branding/decor, no mouth-watering sweets in the display and not even the smell of aromatic smokey, rustic, bold sweetness which could only come from a great coffee house. We could smell the aroma of coffee as soon as we entered. Not as fancy as the next door cafe, Caffe Artigiano has a comfy ambience and was warm inside on a cold day. Loved the coffee and the staff is really nice. Got the mocha and the spanish latte, both were good and came in really nice small white cups. Plenty of seating and there is a large mirror on one end of the wall which makes the place look a bit bigger. read more

Great customer service and coffee. I had never been to this location before, but when I saw they had egg nog lattes, I had to go in and try one. The guy taking orders was super friendly and helpful, and whoever made my egg nog latte did an amazing job. Although I recommend using nutmeg and not cinnamon on top! Stopped in here for a coffee after visiting the art gallery and not wanting to end my visit with a friend. I think we got through the entire process without a word from the woman taking our order. It wasn't busy, we were the only ones at the counter, but we received neither a hello nor a thank you. Once we received our coffees, I went back to ask for the waters we'd asked for and the other woman working there just pointed around the espresso machine where there was a stack paper cups and a container of water. Again, not a word. While we sat and talked over our drinks, someone came out of the bathroom and politely told the staff that the bathroom was out of toilet paper. Their response was to take a roll out and place it on the bar where customers fix their drinks. The patron who had identified the issue had already left so a number of other customers entered the bathroom and flagged the issue. Without saying so, the same two staff members we had dealt with had outright refused to stick the toilet paper in the bathroom. Eventuality someone sitting through the duration of events took the toilet paper to the bathroom with them. The cafe itself is nice enough and somewhat comfortable, but it was pretty dirty and the coffee was okay at best. I can honestly say I haven't been in a bathroom that disgusting in a very long time which may explain the staff's refusal to maintain it. When we left at closing time, the person sweeping made no effort to stop or to move out of the way so that we could pass. Having had decent experiences at other Caffe Artigiano locations, I can't help but observe that the quality at this location has gone very far astray. read more

I like this place, it's warm and cosy but quite busy. The location is really nice and accessible for those who work around the main CBD. I met a friend around 2pm and there were probably only about 2 tables vacant. As soon as I sat down, the place was jam packed with people (I had no idea where they all came from but everyone wanted their afternoon coffee)! The coffee was good, not so great. The food/pastries were OK. It was quite different from what I've had before but I suppose drip coffee is always different to something that is covered with silky froth. The pizza dough looked really good and I wanted something savoury some I ordered one. There wasn't anything special about it; it was a piece of dough with some tomato paste and cheese. It would be nice if they added some more herbs and a little bit of flavouring to make it really good. All in all, a good place to hang out and you'll definitely get clean tables! 11 years ago there was only one Caffe Artigiano. Now there are so many. There are 3 other Artigiano located near this location. Yes all within walking distance. Came here to meet someone to talk about volunteering opportunities and contribution to my association. It was definitely a great place for a conversation because the place is not very busy after work. As well, they serve very good coffee. I am not a coffee fan but I ended up getting the chocolate frapp. Not bad for a drink. I don't know what ran in my head but I thought the frapp would be similar to a chocolate milk. Apparently no. It has caffeine in it. Oh well, it still tasted very good. I did noticed that they server very diligently clean the place very frequent. When I got here the tables are clean. Garbage were emptied. Pretty good. Like the high standards here. Highly recommend. This place definitely beat Starbucks. Service is pretty good as well. read more

Stopped in here because it's across the screen from the art gallery and since I was early, I got a coffee. The espresso was meh (even with a little bit of cream and a little bit of sugar) but the wifi worked well and there was a power outlet within reach that let me get my phone up to 100% before continuing my invasion of Vancouver culture spots. A convenient place to stop for a warm drink near the Vancouver Art Gallery. The decor's a little cheesy, but there's a patio, plenty of seats inside, and warm drinks to help fend off the cold. I wanted to try a local chain here in Vancouver and while I didn't make it to Blenz I think this was a wonderful recommendation. I enjoyed my non fat latte and blueberry scone. My boyfriend had an iced latte but he isn't really picky about anything the way I am, especially espresso, coffee and milk. Back in the day Caffe Artigiano used to be amazing. Baristas were passionate and quality of service was on point. Been here twice the service was way below par. Iced latte was lame. Felt like it could've been served at McDonalds. I had to ask for an empty table to be wiped down and when the girl came she just did mine and ignored the other empty dirty tables around. When I tried to give feedback to another person who looked like a manager, he pretty much ignored my comment. The spinach feta tasted like it was a few days old and was almost inedible. Still a delicious place to come for your specialty coffee. Like many people who have held this place near and dear in the past however, since the place changed hands it's lost a bit of flair. The effort and passion placed in the perfection of each cup seems to have faded. The singular focus you felt was placed on you as an individual customer amongst the busy workday crowd just isn't there anymore. Wow! This coffee hub is packed at all hours. I thought I was skipping the coffee rush hour at 930am - 12pm but no, lines and lines of coffee drinkers needing their fix. Props to these guys for making me a decent flat white (like a wet cappuccino) with pretty coffee art to boot. My Americano was decently strong too. The only drawback about their coffee is the intense burnt/smoke of the roast. I like my coffee strong but less burnt. It's like they're masking lousy beans by roasting them more (hello, Starbucks!). Like others who criticize what I consider a fine coffee at Artigiano, I could probably not only make this sandwich better at home, but it'd also be half the price at a food court. If you get this and a coffee, that should be a nice little breakfast. Chicken and Brie Sandwich ($4.75) Nice chunks of chicken. The cheese was melted. Great sandwich, but I do like the Tuscan Ham a little better. This is more of a lunch sandwich (FYI). Chocolate Chip Cookie A very big cookie (that I couldn't even finish in one sitting). Nice and soft. Not too sweet. I would for sure get this cookie again! I'd love to come here if I had some work to do. Coffee is still inconsistent, today's was quite good and earlier this week it was terrible. What has changed though is the physical space in that a minor renovation was completed recently. Tables and chairs have been replaced but other than that there is not much more than some new paint. Like some other coffee shops they make a feeble, misguided attempt to appear European by keeping the door open in colder temperatures. My experience in Europe has been that yes, quite a few sit outside but for the benefit of those who prefer to sit inside the doors are closed. That is, there is a choice. this is our first time visiting this cafe and i have to say that their mocha is delicious. But their salmon eggs benedict is one of the best! The hollandaise sauce is just perfect! I took 2 stars away because of the service. There was a little bit of a wait with our orders and my partner actually saw one of the lady server faked a smile while serving a customer then immediately took it out when the the customer was not looking. there are no consistency with the customer service. other than the service, food and ambiance is great! love the graphic art paintings as well! read more
