Fast Forward to November 2024. My house was hit hard by the Bomb Cyclone. Dealing with the insurance was a headache I was not familiar with. Anthony really helped me out keeping the repairs under the budgeted amount from my insurance company. I trust Anthony and him being honest and up front with repair costs. I was in the process of gathering three bids, as I am relatively new to the area and wanted to make sure I was getting a fair price. The estimator showed up on time and did the measurements he needed to and then asked if he could come inside to talk with us about the estimate. Then the hard sell began. He said that if we signed up with AV Painting on the spot, even though I had not gotten a second or third estimate, he would be able to get me a lower price if we were willing to vouch for the company and allow them to put a sign in our yard. I told him I was not comfortable signing up with the first company I heard from. He then said that they would be willing to match another price or maybe it was that they would let me out of an agreement with them if I could prove that another company was providing the same service for less. I understand how these things work, however, and I told him no. I was going to get my other estimates because, well, I'm a responsible adult. This man continued to try to sell me on the company. I had to say no three or four times and basically had to ask him to leave. It must be said that I ended up getting three other estimates and not one of them came in and sat down at my dining table and harangued me about their estimate. Needless to say, I was pretty turned off. But this was just the beginning. Over the course of the next weeks and now months, I have made clear more than four times that I will not be hiring them. I got a call two weeks ago and nearly yelled at the man to please leave me alone. I told him that they had lost my business and that I was not interested. This has not stopped them from contacting me. In fact, I just received an email today. Literally months after I have told them via email and via phone that I was not interested in hiring them, I am still receiving contacts from this company. At this point, I'm actually curious how they get any business at all. They have somehow found a way to match aggressive, hard sell tactics with a complete inability to respond to clear communication. If I could give zero stars I would. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the time and hassle of dealing with this unprofessional company.

Moses and Helaina were also fantastic design partners. They guided us through every decision, created multiple 3D renderings, and were endlessly patient when we changed our minds (more than once!). While their estimate wasn't the lowest, they were transparent about pricing and focused on doing the job properly rather than just a quick patch. Mauro, who led the on-site work, was methodical and took real pride in his craftsmanship. The crew stayed focused on our project instead of jumping between jobs, and they communicated well, always checking in about schedules and making sure things worked on our end. The repaired garage looks brand new. More importantly, it's solid and dry even after several rains. When some old wall stains resurfaced, they promptly returned to confirm there were no leaks, and repainted the area just to keep things perfect. When you get lucky, you find a good one that you know you have to keep for future projects. That's Siler Concrete Cutting. Larr, the owner, made initial contact, and his daughter did the scheduling. Very easy process. Family run business with superb efficiency. The highlight, though, was execution by Robert. Robert was on time. He was quick to set up, quick to cut and jack my trench, and surprised me with helping remove the concrete out the back door. Cleaned up with initiative. Ie: I ran a hose in from a bedroom window and across the hallway into the bathroom where the cutting took place. After Robert left, I went to get the hose to run it back, but it was gone. I went outside to see it rerun outside the window and neatly coiled up. Those little details of professionalism shine through the entire time. Like he offered Ear plugs and ensured kids and pets were considered before he started. I briefly explained my project, renovating a bathroom damaged by a water leak. He said it would cost $900 for Seattle Remodeling to provide a quote for my insurance company. He said, "people keep using us for quotes." Estimates take time. I get it. But the employee's response felt very defensive. Please give me a chance to build a relationship with your company, understanding the value of your services, before you disparage other customers and ask for $900. -- Update: After I shared this critical review, an employee threatened me via text (see attached screenshot).
