This place is great. It is fun for the whole family, each person gets to customize their own pizza and then it placed in a super-hot oven to bake quickly and finally served. Kids of any age love being able to pick specific ingredients and watch their pizza go into the oven. I have tried some great combos but my favorite is the ricotta cheese base with olive oil and then a bunch of veggies. I especially love their crust, not too thick, delicately crisp on the outside, and pleasantly chewy at the thick end. Yum. read more

Excellent experience at Artisan Pizza today. It's tucked in next door to the Takoda Tavern and offers personal size pizzas. You can choose to either Create-Your-Own and select from a ton of very fresh ingredients - think of the line at Qdoba, but for pizza - or simply select an option from their menu. I've had their pizza and it's very good. Today I went in and ordered a "large" salad for almost $10.00. First of all if that's a large I'd love to see small. It was mostly a bowl of lettuce which at least was fresh. It came with about 3 thin slices of pepperoni, a handful of minuscule pieces of chicken, a few olive slices and 2 peppers. I will no longer give this place any business even for pizza. I feel completely ripped off. What a great place! We have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. You order first at the counter and can pick off the menu or you can go down the line and create your own pizza. Then they go in the oven for a few minutes and bam! Amazing individual pizzas! They do have alcoholic beverages in cans or bottles for purchase. We love that our girls can split a cheese pizza, hubby can get his own, and I can make my own weird concoction ;) you won't regret eating here! read more

This pizza is probably the furthest thing from artisan Pizza I've ever had... I ordered a pepperoni mushroom and basil pizza... what I got was a whopping total of six pepperonis on the entire pie and what looked to be a half a mushroom that was minced and spread over half, and not a shred of basil to be found. This was the absolute worst portion of toppings I've ever seen! Would have been better off going to the grocery store and getting a Totino's box pizza. Verdict.. Had just a few minutes to stop in yesterday on my way to an appointment. Was not disappointed! Fresh ingredients by the dozen, some truly interesting specialty pies and a very nice beer list. I let the gal behind the counter know I was in a bit of a hurry and she responded like a rockstar - had me taken care of in what seemed like 6 or 7 minutes. I have been to Artisan a couple times with my family. So far we have tried the signature pizzas and have been really pleased. I liked the Taylor Street because of the kick of the giardinara. Next time I will try the Luisa because someone at the next table had ordered that and it looked delicious. My kids enjoyed their smaller kid pizzas (they loved that their name was written on the paper). We have plans to have pizza and salads here again as it was good food, super polite staff, clean, & fast. read more
